As a long retired craftsman, now confined mainly to bed, I chanced upon your videos, Incan hardly believe just how far tools have developed since the , cordless revolution. I have now subscribed.
great seeing different tools being showcase, it give people like myself who are looking to get a decent tools set together, and idea what to look for and what to go for
As a former british gas engineer, I can confirm the Makita P-46470 Service Engineers Kit is a brilliant piece of kit, they were even issued in a dark blue colour not your usual makita teal. Mine is still working after 15 years of use.
So satisfying seeing everything fit in its place. You should do the Makita Coffee Maker with a panel for pods! Pointless bit of kit - will chew through batteries, but fun.
I bought a set of the same makita 10.8v 10 years ago. Still going strong and batteries holding the charge even though they aren't used that often. Great wee set
You always find the best quirky tools for every brand and then some. Nice to see you get a team teal up on the wall. Keep them coming. Happy trails. 🤙🏻
I like the adjustable that locks and the knife might have to find them and add them to my kit. Jess and John love your t-shirts see them in them all the time.
I have a set of the white 10.8v drills, brilliant they are. Ended up getting the teal version too which also has hammer drill (yes in a 10.8v!) and this stays in my go to tool bag. Surprising what they can handle!
Great video, giving my workshop a good sort out got some draws that i will be shadow forming getting messy bits done first then can’t wait to foam out the draws 🤤😂
Just love how easy Shadow Foam looks to work with, definitely going to replace by wall peg board with a mounted Shadow Foam board for my tools. Might even try the Channel logo cut in Shadow Foam to have in the background of my videos.
I love Makita too and have just ordered enough of the tool box foam I should be able to house them all...but as you say not many hand tools at the moment. Chers from France, Ian
Sweet layout! I've had the Makita 12v driver set for probably 15 years or so. Mine came with an awesome steel case. At this point, the batteries are pretty much toast and I've moved on to a set of Dewalt drivers. That being said, I still love that Makita set for being lightweight, powerful enough for what I need and the steel case was such a bonus. Held both drivers, spare battery, and a charger. Even had a little pocket for bits and such in the lid. I think Makita does make some quality stuff, but like everything you have to be very choosey on which ones you get. Thanks for doing all these videos. Shadowfoam for my Stacktech kit will be next. :)
Hey Rugby, my VERY first cordless tool waaaay back in time was the Makita drill with the battery in the grip handle area, it was black and white colour scheme like shamu the whale
Damn, I wish I had the room to do tool walls, they always look so inviting. Makes me want to use them even though I don't have anything to use them on .
The Makita 10.8v drills and drivers are among my favorite tools, and I have about a dozen of them, in addition to a right angle drill, a reciprocating saw, a jigsaw, and a couple flashlights. Unfortunately these models haven't been available in the US for several years now; whenever I see any used ones for sale, I pick them up. I have about 25 Makita tools on the 18v and 36v range, but I reach for the 10.8 most often.

My dad had the original battery powered makita drills back in the day. Long, skinny battery and a standard chuck with a key!
@@cablecallen 9.5vDC I believe. I’ve still got one somewhere with the hard case. Couldn’t kill them
Never really been a massive Makita fan but I think you’ve done the tools justice in the Shadow Foam. Great job as always 👍🏼

That Makita board turned out great!
Teal isn’t a bad colour as well that 2 that I like plus the tool boards do look good when there finished 👍👍
So far none of my blue tools has ever let me down. Good to see some quality Makita hand tools... Bob (Weston super Mare)
I’ve had the 10.8v twin kit for a fair while now, perfect for cabinets and tight spaces.
