@@paddymeboy MASS immigration IS a new thing. It's basically a 21st Century thing. I'd be happy turning the clock back to 1997 (April 30th) - UK was doing just fine. Sadly, we then elected New Labour - and they';ve been in power ever since.

Run the country with common sense. Train people to be skilled, pay them well, build them homes, build them amenities, scale up our infrastructure, hospitals and universities to maintain opportunities. And the rest will take care of itself
I'm not sure most of Gen Z have any principles except the line of least resistance.
Immigration isn't a massive "ishoo", it's a massive problem which neither the current pink Tories, nor the extreme Left Labour party ever intend to deal with. They want people who will become badly treated and poorly paid slaves to work in the kind of jobs too many young Brits look down on, but which are necessary. Not forgetting the sweatshops of places like Leicester.

There is no unelected dictatorship yet, but recent elections and the rise of the Far Right increases that probability.
It has prevented nationalism taking hold across Europe for 80 years and was designed to negate the threat of Russia.
Returning to pre 1940s Europe will mean higher costs and war.
If all European countries, UK included, voted against immigration from Asia/Africa/Middle East, I hope UK rejoins EU. Then all of Europe can have free movement, especially regarding work. Keep it between Europeans only.
