When a brainy bride-to-be stalls her wedding ceremony, her loyal groom struggles to regain her love through a game of 20 questions.
In the upper room of a chapel, Izzy, a young photographer, tries to see the full picture of her love story with the man she is supposed to marry, after pausing her wedding ceremony. As a church full of people wait for them to return, she tries to ask the right questions that will get to the root of who they are as a couple. But when this doesn't suffice, she inquires about a part of their past he would rather hide.
He tries to continue the game, but is stopped when Izzy feels she can't play anymore. In turn, he makes a proposal that if there is no resolve by the time they get to the last question, then they can call the wedding off. Izzy agrees and resumes the game, allowing them to experience the things they have liked and disliked about each other.
Not wanting to make their friends and family wait any longer, Izzy again probes him about the part of their history he would rather hide. When he can no longer stop her from finding out, Izzy relives a moment from their past and must decide whether to walk down the aisle or walk away.
