i don't know if there any clips of this here on youtube but terry does eventually tell irene that he knows about her and troy's affair. i remember him telling her when they're in spain and he gives her the option to stay with him or go off in a car he's got for her with 10 grand in it, she decides to go off in the car and leave him. it's been many years since i saw it but i'm pretty sure that's what happened

I'm an American who loves EE. Sadly, we only got the syndicated versions which were five to seven years behind then-current UK episodes. Terry and Irene were hilarious characters whom I could never take seriously. But this arc story-line changed my mind.

I remember the actor was the Italian in the comedy Allo Allo. I wonder why U.K. soaps have a history of every now and then getting a standup comic or comedy actor inyo there show.
That would be the great Gavin Richards, I heard he moved to Central Otago in New Zealand long after his Eastenders stint

God I felt awful for Terry. His son falsely jailed for murder. Then his wife cheats on him with a younger man. Then he gives her the choice to stay or go, gave her a car and she leaves then took in Janine and she absolutely ripped the piss out him. Poor guy
