Here at Salt Water Fishing University, showing our audience what's behind each brand, and giving in-depth reviews of their different boats and products, is something we'll be doing a lot more of in the future. In this video, we'll answer the following questions:
-Who is the Regulator 34' For and Who is it NOT for?
-What are the Specs of the Regulator 34, including gas mileage, comparing Twin 425s and Trips 300s.
-Why does it cost more than most center consoles?
-What is the typical price range, including options and accessories?
A special thanks to Keith Ammons for having us out to the plant to show the amazing Regulator product and story.

Sea Chest is the word hes looking for. That’s the box that brings all the water in and feeds it to different pumps via manifold.

One of my close friends is a captain on 112 footer and they tow this boat as their yacht tender. They have a heavy fishing program behind that yacht, and they wouldn’t change the Regulator for any other brand

I like the sales explanation of all the features this boat has and what you would be looking for the as a boater. If I could afford it I would buy one. I am one of those that likes to fish but I like to be at the sandbar!

A Regulator has also been my poster child dream boat. I’ve always considered them to be the Rolls of cc’s. Yet, why the fusion speaker setup? Why not JL or RF, etc?

Did he say the draft difference between the trips and the twins was 14"? The Regulator website quotes 40.5" draft for the trips and 34" for the twins.

Apparently this boat at about a 35 mph cruise gets better fuel milage than a Toyota Prius at 60mph. : P . I think he means 1.2 Miles per Gallon (MPG) in a light 'speedy' hulled boat like this - let's hope it's not Gallons per mile .

    • @Anthony-pi6pf
      @Anthony-pi6pf 8 месяцев назад

Yeah he definitely misspoke. It’s impossible to get anything remotely close to 1GPH on a boat like this. It was definitely mpg.

Is regulator still the dead rise king of center consoles? I know it used to be years ago didn’t know if that changed?

  • @tomsreviews238

Move the engines back more to get better fuel economy. Forget the fact that you need to use 20 ft fishing poles to fish off the stern.

➡*Correction* I mistakenly said "Gallons Per Hour" instead of " *Miles Per Gallon* "-- Total brainfart on my part, so please make a note of that as you watch the video. 🤦🤷🥴 (from Marcus)

At 40mph at least down here in Wilmington you not gonna be running away from those big sportfish. Most of them cruise 33-36 knots

Everyone is different for sure Chunky. That's the beauty of the marketplace. For some, 100k is the perfect boat. For others, it's 500k. Ultimately, what I believe matters is that they're able to experience the joy and memories of getting out on that blue water. Thanks for stopping by!

Wtf are y’all talking about with the 1.2 gallons per hour. I think you meant to say miles per gallon. Lol 1.2 gallons per hour at 40 mph. So an 200 mile round trip to the tortugas will only cost me 6 gallons of fuel at 40mph. 200 mile trip at 40 mph will take 5 hours. Burning only 1.2 gallons per hour is 6 gallons.
