Kafka is definitely our guy. Some people say he could be a good coach some day, totally unproven in a HC role, and is likely cheap compared to the obvious candidates a normal functioning program would target.
For a second, I thought you were giving your approval for him to be the HC but thank goodness you were just stating how much of a joke this ownership is
Have no clue what our obsession is with hiring nobodies to be the coach of the charter franchise of the nfl what an absolute disgrace Halas would’ve sold the team if he had known what was coming.
This Kafka conversation is probably very similar to how the Raiders convinced themselves to hire Luke Getsy. "He was in a bad situation." "Well respected around the league."
The head coach should be responsible for hiring his own staff with approval from the front office to negotiate terms. That's one of the leadership qualities of the HC that should be expected.
Ben Johnson is the typical Bears pick. Never been a head coach, is considered to be THE it guy right now, and we don’t consider anyone who has legitimately done that job
Gotta say that I've recently reviewed the entire career of this Coach and his coaching philosophies. And after watching his team last night run the ball for over 299 yards. I would suggest that we all look into Todd Monken. Before you say no please research his past. He was also the OC for Georgia's back to back National Championship. IJS
I remember Freeman getting drafted by the Bears and being excited for his potential. He was one of the higher rated LB prospects leading up to the draft. Then all of a sudden I heard Freeman was cut and never heard what happened. I guess now I know.
A veteran coach would/could put together a better staff than a rookie head coach could put together imo.... Veteran coach, veteran staff, with a proven system is what is needed in Chicago....Vrabel + Saleh+ McCown(that's right) let's go
Only the Bears could come up with a head coaching search like this , George McCaskey thinks his way of doing things is the right way and will continue doing it and that's why the team is always losing !
What's working in Chicago's favor is their competition for coaches this round. There's a whole lot of incompetence out there. The one thing that worries me is Tom Brady. That seems like someone a Ben Johnson might want to attach himself to rather than dealing with the McCaskey Family's nonsense.
It’s genuinely sad because he’s CLEARLY dealing with dementia and people are just ignoring it and taking him serious still. He needs a blanket and a rocking chair.
Grange field as at Wheaton Central which closed in 1991. Wheaton Central merged with another school and became Wheaton warrenville south. They might have renamed the field in Grange filed at the new location, but the original Grange Field is gone.
As an ND fan I don't want Freeman leaving. However as a Bears fan I rather have him over any name mentioned. I truly hate that phrase leader of men but however you want to say it Freeman is a no excuses coach and exactly what the Bears need. The fact that the Bears fell apart after the Washington loss but ND used the NIU loss as a rallying point and made no excuses for all of their injuries shows me that he's exactly who the Bears need.
I dont care what anyone says it truly doesn't matter who the Bears hire it won't matter this team is cursed Chicago will not win another superbowl until the the curse is lifted we need the Honey Bears back on the side line we broke the curse of the goat in Wrigley now it's time we hire back the Honey Bears
@brucebruce7816 So, a long time ago, they stopped a goat from entering Wrigley to break the curse they snuck a goat into Wrigley field, broke the curse then the Cubs won the world series
Wheaton also gave us John Belushi - Wheaton Central, which is the same high school Red Grange attended. I used to run into John's sister Marian in Winfield from time to time, really nice, funny lady.
Chicago bears..."we have a clear vision of what we want or identity and scheme to be" Also Chicago bears.... Interviewing 19 candidates with different identities and schemes...
I don't know why you are all worried about Pete Carroll...he would be an excellent coach for us because he actually has his sh** together, and knows how to be a head coach in the NFL. He can hire someone to hold Caleb's hand and show him the way, but we need a coach FOR THE WHOLE ORGANIZATION...not one player.
There seems to be a misconception that you need to be a red-ass coach in order to get discipline and respect. If you go and read what Carroll's players and coaches have said about him he COMMANDS respect and doesn't have to go that route to get it. Players say he cares about them and, for that reason, they don't want to let him down. Chad Morton was with him for a decade and said that, Richard Sherman said that. Totally biased, but I think he's exactly what the Bears need. He needs a succession plan and an OC plan.
If w were serious about Vrabel we would have brought him in instead of doing zoom. We are going to end up with the Lions OC or someone like that and the l9sing will continue.
If they interview 2 guys and hired one. Then the other guy went on to win a SB and we are doing this again in 3 years. You guys would bitch we didn’t interview enough guys lol.
Hog and Janns being the clowns they are sucking up to ownership to have those press passes sitting here talking about Kafka. Joe Brady not even mentioned
@ stats are awesome. But you’re still not telling me about his leadership qualities or staff which pretty much all notice failed with. A lot of guys can call plays and make great offenses. But it takes more than that to be an effective head coach. Otherwise we just did the opposite of flus. Great o coordinator. Bad coach.
@@chigorziaihediwa71 That he coaches and schemes. Both guards on that 2022 team aren't on the team. If it was success just because of the OL, why didn't Anthony Lynn just take off as the OC that Johnson replaced?
@@lamontparrott3025 I'd rather gamble on a guy to be a good HC but will for sure get the franchise QB to the next level than hire a guy that will be a good HC but is a complete gamble on whether his staff will progress the QB.
Aaron Glenn troubles me. He may be too stubborn. Everyone knew you should play zone defense against a Justin Fields. Playing man where you have players turning the backs to the QB to run with receivers is not wise. Fields continuously burned them with the run. After a few games I was sure Glenn would change it. He didn't. Almost lost again. I don't like that.
Kafka is definitely our guy. Some people say he could be a good coach some day, totally unproven in a HC role, and is likely cheap compared to the obvious candidates a normal functioning program would target.
For a second, I thought you were giving your approval for him to be the HC but thank goodness you were just stating how much of a joke this ownership is
Nailed it! The least qualified candidate who no one will see coming, that’s r guy! 😂
Best oc if available
So yes just keep going down the same path.
I wish the Bears had heard of Occam’s razor. If they had, they’d interview 4-5 guys, then make Johnson (or Vrabel) an offer he couldn’t refuse.
I love using Occams Razor.
We cant give ben johnson an offer bc hes still in playoffs
@@bandlittHe will get them anyways and accept one, then keep it quiet until the Lions are done.
The Bears have a plan , the same plan they always have , a plan to fail and they do !!
Mike Sando is superb, really enjoyed, get him on again
sando is such a great interview. Really good insight.
Flus never had a top defense as a DC. Nagy never really called plays and it was all Reid. BJ clears both of them with better qualifications.
God I beg just hire Ben Johnson
They won't , this will be another clown show !
Bears don't do the obvious. Spend money on the o-line? Forget it! Spend money on a good coach? Forget it!
Doesn't matter who they choose cuz it will be wrong
Not gonna happen
Way better options for Johnson out there

Wheaton IL stand up!!! Red Grange field baby
I remember Freeman getting drafted by the Bears and being excited for his potential. He was one of the higher rated LB prospects leading up to the draft. Then all of a sudden I heard Freeman was cut and never heard what happened. I guess now I know.

hoge really showing his Justin Fields hate with that hoodie!
They're officially interviewing Ron Rivera. I've said all along they'll hire him 😂😂😂😂😂😂
It’s genuinely sad because he’s CLEARLY dealing with dementia and people are just ignoring it and taking him serious still. He needs a blanket and a rocking chair.

For the 20th time, Cody Parkey didn’t miss the FG. It got tipped before it double doinked.
Won two national championships with a walk-on QB at Georgia.

Bob Woodword , Dennis Dugan , oh and me class of 79
Ben Johnson or Mike Vrable. Interview everyone if you want. Go for the best candidate in the end and don’t be cheap
Chicago bears..."we have a clear vision of what we want or identity and scheme to be"
Also Chicago bears.... Interviewing 19 candidates with different identities and schemes...
honestly IDC how many... just get it right this time please
Did the Bears interview Vrabel in 2018? Because theoretically they could have hired him instead of Nagy....
Theoretically they could've drafted Joe Montana.
If we don’t get the Ben Johnson or vabrel I want the ravens OC
Watching 10 min behind. What you think about Jon Gruden
MC can't sky don't have the Balls to hire Gruden, bears would be in wildcard next season!
The racist loudmouthed buffoon? I'll pass.
So when Adam and Adam pushed Eberflus mid season without hiring a replacement what did they expect?

Hiring another DC as a head coach means another Luke Getsy as an OC.
No fishman friday :(

That clip of Monken was great! Funny how when we hear a guy w emotion and he’s swearing like a sailor we love it! But the lame ass Mccaskeys won’t 🤬🤬
Is there a big advantage to being a Catholic school boy if you want to be hired by the Bears?
We certainly dont need another glass half full guy in Pete Carroll. Flus drove me nuts with that shit.
Carroll is not like that he holds his players accountable.
Monken or Fox, a new game to play after they hire him.
How is Ben Johnson different than Norv Turner / Mike Martz / his mentor Adam Gase.
2022 Detroit Lions scored 52 TDs with Jamaal Williams at RB, DJ Chark and Josh Reynolds as #2-3 WRs, and Brock Wright at TE.
And the best oline in the NFL

McCarthy has as many playoff wins in his coaching career as the Bears do since 1960. Stop with the McCarthy slander
He's a winning HC. I don't know why people just turn their head away from that fact.
If they hire Monken and he flops I’m blaming Jahns

What the Kafka? Bears are going to Kafka all over themsleves and end up with one of the worst coaching candidates they interview.
I don't want Pete
