No one can stop that. If they keep growing in views, eventually they are going to make more and more, not in the nearly future, but in the far future is a possibility.
I'll say based on the individual players in the wnba. Caitlin Clark just getting started. They're hoping Paige Bueckers, Juju Watkins, and Angel Reese to also come along. If they can put up huge stats in a few years. I can see them making more money and there's a chance the likely hood of top NBA players making 100M will happen but not soon as much as people are expecting

A lot of people are saying this is nonsense. Either you misunderstood or don’t understand what net worth is.
Will nba players be worth more than owners? Highly doubt it. (Although LeBron is already worth more than some)
But in terms of potentially earning $100 million a year it’s very possible. Like Mark said, he’s not making 100 million every year. Yes he’s worth 6 billion so he’s richer than every nba player but that doesn’t mean he’s still earning 100 million a year in 2024.
And he’s a billionaire, some majority owners are worth under a billion so imagine how much they earn a year.
Think of Floyd mayweather. We all know he’s extremely rich, but some of the fighters under his promotion will out earn him because he’s not active anymore. He’s still got a lot in the bank but he’s not making hundreds of millions a year anymore.
Still not impressed when Blue Collar workers Social Security being stolen and Older people struggling on a fixed income barely making $30,000 a year, not impressed.

@@masonsmith9241 Don’t have reliable sources no and online networths can’t be trusted. But you can make an educated guess using the context. Firstly, there’s A LOT of billionaires who don’t earn hundred of millions a year. Floyd isn’t a billionaire.
Second, Floyd made that kind of money at the height of his career. When he was making 8 figures for single fights. He’s no longer at the height of his career so it’s highly unlikely he’s making more now than he was making when his career was at its peak. Hes not like dr Dre who had a billion dollar headphone or Michael Jordan with a billion dollar shoe. And if he did own such a business we’d know about it. He’s definitely still making a lot of money from investments especially his real estate but there’s zero chance he’s making more now than he was at the peak of his boxing career.
But I’m sure his boxing career will only be a small part of his lifetime earnings. By the time he’s 70 I’m sure he’ll have made more after boxing than he did while boxing. But yearly he’s not making the same money he was 10 years ago.
None of the fighters under floyd will make anywhere near him. Even tank, prize fighting isnt basketball. There is no union, you get what you put in and negotiate. Floyd was in the unique position during the money may era of his career, where he was directly negotiating with showtime the network, so he went over the heads of the promoter. He was always loyal to al haymon who runs pbc. He was also the most successful "heal" in boxing history. Floyd was the bad guy everyone wanted to see lose but he never lost and he let everyone know about it. Ask yourself you really think tank is as big a star as floyd. Not even close and i love tank, he hits harder than floyd, but it takes more than that.

Its not just Luka and def not just the NBA. F1 drivers are makin 40 to 50 a year just from mclaren, ferrari , Mercedes amg. Nevermind the watch brands like iwc, rolex, richard mille and then their sunglasses/protective glasses brand, protective gear and suits brands and their shoes etc. Also soccer guys like Ronaldo is already probably a billionaire or close too it and so is Messi with their salaries, clothing and shoe brand deals, watch brand deals and glasses deals, cologne deals and the rest of the endorsements plus being part owners in teams as well as other sports teams.

The way the nba revenue is split, these players aren't overpaid(except some). These money ain't coming out of thin air, its a near 50/50 split between players and the league. Both sides earned their money, one side is the face and providing the entertainment and the other side is networking and doing behind the scene work to keep the engine rolling.

Players can’t just be replaced with anyone off the street so they get paid a higher percentage of revenue compared to employees in a restaurant. The team will be worth more but that doesn’t mean the owners ‘salary’ is gonna be going up in the hundreds of millions. The clippers lost money last year, do you think their billionaire owner still went ahead and took 100 million off the top? I’d argue that for 75% of nba owners their main source of income is whatever they were doing before buying the team.
