Hola from Spain. Hang on in there Laura, your doing better than you think. Anxiety is nasty & creeps up on you when you least expect it, but proud of you for showing & sharing. Being alone doesn't help, but working on the girls room, painting & crochet are very healing. Keep busy, but also look after yourself. Plenty of fresh air & rest when you can, you dint have to keep doing everything at once. Your lovely family will soon be home, so they'll want you fighting fit. Sending love & hugs ♥️♥️♥️
The power cuts are mostly in the VT region. In my part of rural Bulgaria we had a powercut once two years ago. It kind of explains the low prices of properties in your region.
@@robertmaloney2255 Mate, I'm not English. What I meant to say was that my observations led me to conclude that part of the villages falling into the VT municipality seem to get power cuts often, while other villages in other municipalities, like mine for example, get power cuts very rarely. With that I wanted to make the point that not all of Bulgaria is like a Christmas tree: lights going off and on all the time.
Laura, you're doing better than you think. And isn't it great to have so much support and helpful suggestions on here? We're all here for you. Just you keep going, lady, you're awesome!
16:05 Hi Laura! For your paintings - of course the best way is to frame them one day. There are art shops in Tarnovo, where the sales person can cut simple wood frames by size. The fastest way to hang the paintings on is just to cut a little rope, to make two knots on both sides and to stick it with a cenotape on the back side of the picture, then hang it on the wall. 😊 the reason behind the power cuts before snowfalls is to prevent the electric wires of breaking because of heavy icicles. Around the cities there are more technicians, but for the villages they need to travel at longer distances. Take care!
Hi Laura, Love the purple colour on the wall ,actually I am going to still this colour idea for my kitchen-living room in Bulgaria ,because I will paint all the furniture in white and I was thinking that I will need a different colour of the wall for a contrast. Your house day by day is getting more beautiful and cosy ,some people very soon will be so envy about that and the power of your character. I am truly impressed, I hope your family is coming very soon for one wonderful Christmas and New Year. I would like to meet all your family in person, next time when I back to Bulgaria . All the best ! Harry
I am amazed at how bad the electricity situation is in the villages in Bulgaria. I've lived here all my life, and I don't remember the power going out more than 10 times (in 33 years), half of which were for scheduled repairs or maintenance. I think the problem comes from the fact that the villages have become depopulated and very few people live in them. It is unprofitable for electric companies to upgrade a grid for millions, just for a few families in some small village.
i live in the village with only 60 residents, we had scheduled upgrade of cables one winter, for a couple of weeks, and sometimes power cuts for max an hour, like 3 times per year. i think the reason why our situation is so good is that the mayor lives in the village and he wouldn't tolerate spending too much time without television.
I can image it being so hard not being with Anthony and the girls but you are doing great. The girls room is looking fab. Why not crochet some bunting for the girls room? Take care and you've got this. xx
I'm so sorry that you are struggling with anxiety. I have had anxiety for my whole life. It truly sucks. You are doing a really good job coping with a miserable situation. Your family will be back soon. The girls will love their new bedroom. It is adorable. You know what you are doing, be proud of yourself. Big hug and much love from Canada 🇨🇦 ❤❤❤
Play your favourite songs and singalong...... that might help regulate your emotions. x Journalling also helps because it keeps your inner thoughts catalogued safe somewhere so then you can get on with life. xxx
Hi Laura, have you tried practicing yoga nidra, there are loads of good recorded ones on RUclips. My personal favourite is Ally Boothroyd, 10, 20, 30 mins anything up to an hour. Whenever everything gets too much , I put my eye mask, and earbuds on and listen to a relaxation which gives you the permission to switch off, and re sets your nervous system, just a thought .Well done , the girls room looks lush ❤🎉😊
Yes snap - anxiety and depression and then get super efficient and then repeat. It’s my life. Hang on in there and know deep down somehow everything comes good. And you’ll remember the sunshine ☀️
Hi Laura you are a very inspiring young woman. A bit of trivia to make you smile is a very nice gentleman i worked with for a while was the voice for Blueys grandad and his nephew came up with the idea of Bluey. Keep safe, warm and happy your family will be together in your arms soon. Xxx
You may struggle, BUT you proof that you are strong woman! You did all of that while you been struggling, imagine when you feel better! Wish you all the best hun! Stay strong, I have anxiety I know how it feel but I work it out different way - trying to do everything as soon as possible so after that I am free to relax and chill. That way I feel a bit more comfortable and like I control the things around me, not the other way around xd
Bless you. New sub so don’t know much about you or your circumstances. As a mum I feel your pain and how much you’re missing your family. Stay strong. You seem like a wonderful mummy.
Thank you! Essentially, the girls and their Dad have to wait for the children's visas to be approved before they can return. It could take two months 😭 But hopefully it will be four weeks. Thanks for subscribing!
I have a solar powered light which also charges my phone. It's just got a little solar panel. I got it from Amazon. It has a good, big light and some small ones. Ok even in winter.
Just an idea but can you get Command picture mounting strips where you are? Love your painting - you have lots of hidden talents. Anxiety (GAD) and depression affects everyone differently so can't say I know how you feel but do have my own so know that overwhelming panic feeling that comes when it is least welcome. Look after yourself and you will soon be all together as a family again 😊
Laura, I feel for you. I could see you struggling to hold it together.😢 I know how much you must be missing them, but use this time to be productive and pamper yourself a bit. Have a glass of wine in the evening. Writing a list of jobs for the next day is a good way to know you're achieving. Take lovely walks and breathe deep. They'll be back before you know it ❤
That's all you can do when the power's off, agree it's a good time to recharge lol but soon gets on your nerves when it goes on too long, but you were well prepared. Laura, you are doing incredibly well, you got all the jobs done, the girls will love the makeover when finished, love the terracotta coloured wall and your painting is super. Keeping busy seems to be helping and the walk worked wonders - look at you smiling despite everything. Won't be much longer - you've got this. 🤗
Beautiful paintings! The girls are going to love them❤ As to hanging them, my wife paints on boards like these and she hangs hers with tiny little nails and the painting kind of sits on top of them and the nails are pinching it to the wall. Not sure if that makes sense. She does 2 on bottom and two on top and it holds in place.
Laura you are doing brilliantly and those lovely girls of yours will love the personalised art work. Re hanging the pictures maybe some small ‘eyes’ either side at the back and string threaded through? I hope Anthony and the girls are soon home xx

Yes, we REALLY want one and our ambition is to run the house permanently on solar for the majority of the year. We get so much sun all year, that I imagine we could feed batteries for the majority of it. Thank you! 😊🙏 hugs from Bulgaria!

Sorry Laura, I thought with the problem you have obtaining visas for your children, medical insurance would be another burden. Anyhow, I though you could use the EHIC GHIC cards for your medical needs?
@johnelton3796 I think EHIC cards can still be used short term, but we are residents, so we need at least one year of medical insurance. Is this in response to something I mentioned? I'm not sure 😅🙈
Bless you 😊 I can relate so much! Please look into microdosing amanita muscaria, it truly helps heal anxiety and depression 😊💞
