The amount I’d pay to replay this game for the first time. I’d never seen the first game, or anything about this one. I landed in the snow in my first playthrough, and I refused to move during the night. I saw a glimpse of 3 cannibals during said night, and I saw their trails in the snow. I was absolutely TERRIFIED, and I loved it. Chopping my first tree too was absolutely awesome and everything I did felt real. Another feeling I just remembered was walking down to the beach to the ocean GPS, turning around, looking up and realising the trees were filled with cannibals watching me and the feeling of dread was something no game has ever captured. The feeling that I’d just walked into their trap and having my every move be watched for god knows how long was insane. I had actual adrenaline pumping while I ran to the beach and they followed in pursuit. This game deserves every award ever twice.
they nailed the forest, and they definetly nailed sons of the forest, i really really enjoyed both games and cant wait for the final content update of sotf so i can replay it once again with all the new stuff
Another one, Shaking Severed Heads and Skulls at enemies will cause them to be scared or flee. Larger cannibals and Mutants are not affected by this, but shaking a Crucifix at mutants will cause them to stagger and run away, and actually set the demon variants on fire

Also pretty sad but cool detail is that if Kelvin dies Virginia will mourn by crying over his dead body. Also Virginia Eats almost.. everything limbs included 😉
I love the lakes freezing , when i 1st played i built a base on the edge of a lake thinking it would be natural protection . Then it froze and cannibles just walked right in , i poop my pants lol 😂😂😂
when spawned on beach i made a spear and went to the dead guy. I was kiling seagulls at this time so when one landed next to me I killed it and blew up because it landed on bunson burner
the lack of blueprints is annoying and in general bad idea in my opinion. In The Forest building the same base took 2 hours in Sons Of The forest it took 5.
I like the animations and details, except that they are exagerated, like for example, the way kelvin moves is so robotic, yet again he did get brain damage

Dont get me wrong on the realism, but being able to throw an unlit molotov is just to piss people off xD
I don't know why Sons of the Forest gets flack. It's such a beautiful game and the developers always go up and beyond to please their fans.

You can catch the fish in the jumping state. I farm them on my base built in front of a small waterfall
You can find a drwaning of you on a scotter at some camps. That was one of the best details I experienced in this game

Meanwhile most other games doing these 50+ STUNNING Details 10 years before this.
Thank god its spoiler free, i wouldve probably watched it regardless and ruined the game for me ( i havent played yet )
