"They're a child!"
"So you're saying that kids shouldn't be appreciated? What are you, a child hater?"
It's Twitter, of course they hate children. Gotta make sure you're the maturest of adults while you fight and let everyone know how much you despise being around kids and heaven forbid a baby
Also hate how they think that teens are children that needs to be treated like a child like it's that type of mindset i hate abt my family when growing up

What? Am I a minor to some of these people just because of my stature? It's as if I can't be treated as an adult just because I'm short
Children are their favorite snacks. Especially the foreskins.

I honestly don't get this insanity. People see literal objects, i.e. drawings or pictures, and then start to talk about how someone is objectifying a real person. Yea, that is the whole thing about drawings and pictures. You found something in real life (or just drew randomly) and then portrayed it as an object. The only way to not objectify women is by never drawing them, never taking their pictures, and never recording movies with them inside. Not to mention never making figures of them, or statues, or dolls, and so on. Everytime someone makes an object that look like a woman, they objectified women.

Japan also does this stuff too it’s just human nature
A quick reminder to the idiots who constantly say "THEY'RE LIKE 16!!?!!?!" The legal age of consent in around 70-80% of the world as well as over half of the U.S is 16, 18 is one of the least used ages of consent in the world. also side note the character is a drawing for goodness sake they also look nothing like a child they're specifically drawn to look appealing to the eyes.
I don't personally agree with the younger ages as we do know a bit better now from psychology... but I was going to say about the same thing that I think the age of consent in Japan is still 16, so technically by the culture that created it there isn't even a problem. Can't expect people to use the internet to actually learn about things outside of their sheltered little bubble.
Edit: I was wrong, its slightly more complicated as with so many things, though technically the "age of consent" is 13 nationally there, but typically 16-18 in most areas.

As long as 500 year old dragon lolis exist, I'm going to continue to say the age of a fictional cartoon character doesn't matter. Uraraka has a full set; she's obviously post-pubescent. Her character design would look exactly the same if she was 18. And that's not even getting into the fact that fictional cartoon characters can't give consent anyway, so age of consent is meaningless. A fictional character's age is just as fictional as they are. Heck, Crunchyroll could even claim that she's 18 in those pics specifically, and who could contradict them? That said, if you're going to lewd something, try to keep it where it can't be found by accident.
Also people need to be reminded that average age of consent in the world isn't 18, which is actually not common
In europe the average is *15*, surprisingly a bit lower than africa!
Everybody makes fun of japan having 13 (it isn't de facto 13, it is similar to the US, so 16-18 depending on prefecture) but we there are not so irrelevant countries like Germany, Italy, Austria, China having 14 as aoc

It could be anything else but when it comes to the age of female characters they feel they have to go nuts.
They're more focused on ages than I ever will, so it makes me wonder exactly what runs through their minds? Because it sounds more like they're the ones with the impure thoughts about minors, and they go out talking down on you like they want you to feel the same way.
They project their own thoughts on other people to feel better about themselves.
Wait until they find out 16 year old wear bikinis lol. These people are projecting their weird thoughts so hard
"youre the creep" is the answer to everyone. i mean nobody have lewd thoughts and you arguing over a fictional character being childlike. They are the one that disgustimg
By the “because the character is (this) years old you can’t lewd her”
By that logic that means any character when the shows ends isn’t pass 18 can’t be lewded
Which is stupid
Yeah the people going on about the ages of a drawing aren't anime fans. Actual fans would realize there's zero point. They draw 16 year olds to look 30. Even Tokyo Revengers, where they are all supposed to be middle schoolers literally look like 25-35 year old guys.
*I keep warning people, if anime keeps going more mainstream it will eventually go woke.*
in what world does twitter have any power over japanese anime creators
@@Pudding--_-- A hellish one that hopefully never exists
??
@@Pudding--_-- Twitter doesn't have power.......Unless they're involve in the anime distribution like localizations
I liked the Crunchyroll post because Uraraka is adorable… my goodness.
Twitter has a weird habit of defending pixels
'down lewd her'
boy, someone's new around this internet thing.
this really isnt anything new, twitter always causes a fuss over MHA, and Uraraka specifically. It's always some kind of creep that will make a post several months down the line apologizing for grooming a child online
The whole "She is 16" thing never makes sense, first of all it's a drawing, it doesn't have an age, if she does, then she would be 16 when my hero academia started, and then we got to add on whatever age she would have been all these years later. either she has an age or she does not
Also, in the USA a 16yo girl is legal in most of the nation
It doesn't really make sense even in the real world
Most anime and even hentai are centered around high school. I sure hope that person doesn't watch any ecchi shows or hentai if that's their take.
ironic how these twitter keyboard warriors will tell you that someone in a swimsuit is lewd and then tell you to go touch grass when in reality it seems like they are the ones who need to go outside and touch some sand at the beach to see that people wearing swimsuits is normal.
Yeah I saw this tweet and was waiting for all the Rage and Anger
Alex needs to go touch some grass
And some sand...
just imagine the outrage if she went to a nude/clothing optional beach? 🙄
But Kirishima can get away of being super buff with intense abs shirtless in his normal hero costume for 90% of the anime right?
The age of consent is 16 or less in a lot of countries + just a swimming attire + literally just a drawing
Man That Tweet from Crunchyroll makes me want go to the beach again...
*_Starts raining again_*
Hopefully next year.
I’d steer clear of anyone who acts like this cause they’re either projecting or they’re the type of people that care about minors WAY too much on the internet
The Crunchyroll employee: I know this will cause stupid twitter drama but, you know what, f*ck it.
What's ironic is the people who don't like when a female character is lewded are the same people who'd start drooling at shirtless pics of bakugou. Just a bunch of hypocrites
You have any data on that or just pulling these "facts" out of your ass like most commenters here?
@@jedisquirrel I'm saying this cause I've seen it happen a lot. This video is just the tip of the iceberg of what those tweetards do. And this particular channel has already done some videos on this topic
@@jedisquirrel there was a incident like this. A RUclipsr ( I don't remember her name ) complained about the fanservice the female characters were receiving. But the same girl would draw all that yaoi stuff. And these are some of the few. Another video showed how they didn't like momo exposing too much skin but are completely fine when male characters go topless. All you gotta do is visit any so called " lewded fan art " to see how these basement dwelling degenerates react just by looking at someone's drawing like as if they don't do the same
Well, this is probably the same group of people that are overly concerned about the sexual orientation of said fictional characters. If Uraka suddenly came out as one of the alphabet brigade, there'd be a lot more comments about that.
Isn't she not real? Lol
Again these people are just projecting.
Lmao when you have nothing say just write "jesus christ" the lords always helps phed
just throwing this outa here but doesnt the catholic church have a bad history of "lewding" minors :p
Lol funny as always to see people getting mad on twitter of all places
"People wear beach outfits at the beach."
"People die if they are killed."
1:30 It's true, though...They both think "but she's 16" is a good defense, while simultaneously supporting MAPs and campaigning for them to go mainstream.
It's funny that when you call them out telling them that they defend more fictional drawings than irl people they say "we can do both!!"
Oh yeah? I have seen many real *pederasts* call outs *posts/accounts* and they don't get nearly has many attention as this
Wait, wait, wait, we’re making the wrong argument. Who’s the show for? Who’s the target audience? The same age ranges as the characters. Are they shaming “literal children” for liking these characters?
I guess if you're underage it's fine but the second you turn 18 you have to stop finding Ochako attractive or you're a pedo. Probably how this works in their heads.
To be a bit more introspective you might want to look at the culture that created it as well. Japan's view of "age of consent" isn't the same as most of the rest of the modern world. Technically for some aspects its as low as 13 nationally, though mostly its between 16-18 in much of the prefectures. And while there are decency laws some places, much of it is about "contracts" and not about relationships so long as they aren't force/pressured (a gray area when talking about the maturity of minors of course).
So while I personally don't agree with having a low age of consent because of psychological reasons dealing with minors, culturally they don't seem to have an issue finding someone in their mid/late teens as attractive.
@@JohnA... You do realize that the age of consent in 16-17 in half of US states right?
Same with many European countries. It's not a fringe thing at all in most of the world. Calling a 16 year old a child is the fringe thing.
The fact that it's normal for people to publicly wear to the beach outfits with as much fabric and coverage as one would find in bedroom apparel doesn't change the amount of skin shown or the reality that everyone knows episodes involving such are designed as fanservice. And there is a stark difference further yet between seeing something at a beach, and sharing a picture singling them out and showing them off on social media.
While I think people getting butthurt about fictional cartoon characters- especially characters imagined as being 16, which is past the age of consent in many states and countries- showing skin are stupid as all hell: don't be disingenuous. There is good reason the inventor of bikini swim-wear couldn't find anyone except an adult model to advertise it for him.
dude, have you ever tried swimming with f'ing clothes?
That's why people swim with swimwear
Besides, a bikini/trunks are much more practical than a swimsuit, therefore more common
Theres nothing "weird" about anything
@@99temporal yes.
But the practicality changes nothing about what I said, nor did I imply weirdness had anything to do with it. Sexual attraction to mostly naked bodies of your preferred sex is entirely normal and natural, and before the invention of swimwear it was frankly pretty common to simply bathe and swim nude, however, society decided privacy was something to be concerned with because of the understanding of the natural reactions to such.
It doesn't change anything about the reality that modern swimwear only covers about the same amount as undergarments, and produces nearly the same basic biological effects- and that there is still a stark difference between wearing things for an activity where they are practical, and sharing pictures of those activities out of context online to draw attention using fanservice and sexual appeal.
The issue here, though- which you ignored: I don't have any problem with doing that whatever, only with people being disingenuous about it and pretending that that's not what's happening- instead of defending it honestly because the people who don't like it are insane and need to mind their own business.
