When Andrew started talking about Foxy Shazam, I knew it had to be this song. I never played NHL 13, but this is literally their only hit so it had to be it.
And as someone who remembers when this song was played on the radio, they didn't change the lyrics for it. So IDK what the heck they did to them in the game, lol.

I booted it up recently cause I was in the mood to play a hockey game. Unfortunately the controls in 13 are very clunky...putting in NHL 11 instead fixed most of the issues for me luckily

That is the most rotund African-American posterior I have ever had the good grace of God to lay my eyes upon, and I'm in appreciation of it. I'm in constant appreciation of it.

To my great anguish I hath not strucken for some time for an evil plague of the mind has taken my wife from me :(
But I take heart in faithfulness that the Lord shall grant remission for my wife so I may strike the posterior once again, and a multitude upon multitudes of times thereafter

Foxy Shazam started at the bottom. I once ran lights for them in the basement of a bar in Cincinnati. They were very theatrical. I knew that they were going to make it big. The band had some previous names such as Train of Thought, but I'm not sure about any changes in the line up. Proud of you guys. Knock em dead!!!

    • @maceomaceo11
      @maceomaceo11 6 лет назад +5

They added Alex, and that's about it. I had an indirect hand in Alex getting in the band. My band used to play with Banderas a lot and also a band from Oxford called Look Afraid that Alex fronted. The guys in Banderas and Foxy went to school together so they were friends and knew they were looking for a dynamic horn player. Alex fit the bill perfectly, he blended in like he'd always been there from the start.

Skylyn and John (who were on Flamingo Trigger) were also in Train of Thought as well but every other person that has ever been in Foxy wasn't. TOT and Banderas members also didn't go to school together. Banderas dudes were mainly from Eastgate. TOT members were somewhat scattered but none of them were in Eastgate. Foxy Shazam.
    Where do I begin?
    1) Founded The Church Of Rock N'Roll you see in the video.
    2) Are a phenomenon EVERYONE MUST SEE. There's nothing like a Foxy Shazam concert. Nothing like where the frontman (Eric) eats three lit cigarettes, somersaults, or hops on the guitarist's shoulders. The trumpet player doubles as a great vocalist and can backbend while playing. The guitarist and bass guitarist have this unbelievable groove to each song, the keys player either hops on his keyboard or plays it amazingly with one hand. The drummer has his own style he brings to the show. The most well-known bands of yesterday AND today should envy Foxy Shazam because of their live performances. I've been an on-and-off concert goer for +6 years and I've NEVER seen a band bring so much live energy & outstanding live performance style like Foxy Shazam does.
    3) This is debatable, but the current line-up you see in this video:
    Eric Nally: Vocals
    Loren: Guitar
    Daisy: Bass
    Sky: Keys
    Aaron: Drums
    Alex: Trumpet
Is THE BEST Foxy Shazam line-up EVER.
    4) Such chemistry with this band, like I've never seen before.
    5) Really nice group of guys outside performing. I've had the privilege of meeting Daisy & Alex. Both really nice guys.
    6) Their song catalog consists of such amazing songs. How can you resist singing along to them?
    7) Need I say more?????

You cant really compare an indy band to Queen, who arguably had the best front man in rock and roll. but your entitled to your opinion :)

+1993DJC I don't see the Queen similarities. Or hear.

You pegged me?? My fav band is Zeppelin . Not much more mainstream than that..... If your any fan of music you know damn well Queen is in a league of their own. Your comparing arguably one of the most influencial and best rock bands to these guys?. All im saying is its rare to see something different in todays "rock and roll" so relax it was just an opinion dont troll ppl for arguments lifes too short my friend.

And it was Macklemore's Downtown where i came across theses guys. You should listen to him if you have a chance . He speaks peace love and acceptance something this world lacks. Trust me im no bleeding heart . Im bitter but keep my comments and hate to myself
