Having the whole squad working toward academic goals makes it so much easier. The competition and support makes what would otherwise be drudgery fun and memorable. I scored higher than I reasonably thought I could on the ACT because my friends were all competing. Cheers to you all!

this was literally like half my friend group before everyone scored 4s and 5s on their aps. the kind of brain you need to have in order to develop the mentality that "oh i'll just review the day before and we're chilling" is also the kind of brain that is able to excel at these kinds of tests to begin with

As a European watching this, I have no idea of what this is but it’s fun to watch.
They’re AP exams, high school kids often take them to try and get college credit (they’re supposed to be the rigor/pace of an intro level college course). A 1 or a 2 doesn’t give you credit, some universities accept 3s for credit, and most universities accept a 4 or 5.
And I agree, they are weirdly fun to watch, I love how they celebrate when they get higher scores

I tried AP chem because the stupid schedule system my HS used didn't tell me that Honors Chem. and Organic Chem. were basically required to understand the material (THEY WEREN'T MARKED AS PREREQUISITE CLASSES UNTIL THIS YEAR, after I graduated).
I went from Gen Ed chem to AP chem and got COOKED, like DEEP FRIED. I wasn't able to drop the class because I was only told this info after 3 WEEKS INTO THE CLASS.
I tried to gather as much info as I could from that class, and it helped so much for Honors chem, and now I actually understand about half of what I need to know to tackle AP chem.
But yeah, I'm kinda pissed that I practically had been misled into taking a class that was WAYYYY out of my league only for them to correct that mistake the following year.
For clarification, I had dropped AP chem the following quarter and swapped into Honors Chem, which I understood much better and even was able to help my classmates with better understanding concepts like stoich (which absolutely wrecked me at first lol).
I LOVE how everyone is CHEERING! I want them to cheer for me 😭❤️😂

@@irene3694college board does a pretty massive training process to get everyone on the same level of scoring. Then they do a week of like 8 hour test scorings each day. Its not entirely impossible to say some scorers may have ran out of steam, but they’re usually trained for it.
That reminds me this year there was a hybrid of in person and virtual test scoring. So there’s that. (This all came from my calc bc teacher who has been an ap test scorer for a long time)
For essays and free responses, they’re usually graded by a person, and people make mistakes.

This gets me so nervous… im a sophomore now, taking two AP classes this year that I’m a bit anxious about. When I had the taken AP human geography exam earlier this year, I got a 5 on the test but I’ve been told that particular course is easy to pass so i don’t know if I should be proud of that score or not…but im taking AP Language Comp and AP Euro this year so…wish me luck!!!
