He’s a cool dude to his fans for the level of rockstar he is (unlike AK and Flea, which they have every right), and a lot of his problems in the 2000s came from crazy fans. I don’t see a world where I could approach him like these people

I can only suppose but thinking about what he experienced in the past due to his heroin addiction, maybe his body is not completely healed in some way. I've read that because he never learnt to shoot properly he almost lost his arm.
i think the shirt from 0:39 which is 2006ish i guess and the one from 0:45 which is 2022 is actually the same one. that’s so cool to see him caring about his clothes so much
To be honest I understand in a way where he's coming from. These guys are touring week in week out in countries worldwide. I'm sure there's got to be some part of them that is worried about picking up a virus or sickness from making physical contact with fans or anyone for that matter, who isn't a part of their small inner circle. Plus when you factor in their age and history of health issues they're probably even more conscious around random fans.
