Hi, thanks so much. I did do a collage table top laminated photos first, and it came out really nice. It was a gift for my daughter. Now, a few days ago, I wanted to do a photo in a coaster. Well, a thought came to mind to seal the photo with UV resin. So I tested it first, and to my amasement, it worked. I printed my picture on my printer, and I cut the picture out. Sealed it with UV resin. When my photo was done, I laid it on my first layer of hardened resin. Sealed the edges of the photo with UV resin. Then, topped with clear resin. The coaster came out beautiful. I can't wait to give it to her. Just thought I'd share. I'm no professional this is only my 5th project.
Great Video well done! Can I use some modge podge of what I have? Ty! Btw can I with a paint brush use some resin over a printed photo on a round piece of wood? It’s attached to a basket Which is a sewing kit basket .. ty
2 layers of Mod Podge or whatever you might use like Mod Podge, is not enough to seal pics to put in resin. After a while in resin, they will become very dark if the pics are not completely sealed properly. They look great as soon as made but the even one invisible spot that wasn't sealed properly, will be way for the resin to ruin the pics.
You don’t need to use a lot of mica powder to make it opaque depending on the brand u use I noticed the more expensive brands are much more pigmented then the cheap brands but u should always start small and work your way up u can always add more but it’s very hard to take it back out once it’s mixed in resin
what is the mix you are adding to the coaster to begin with? Does it have any resin in it or just the micropowder? Does it just absorb into the resin when you pour to give you the border around the pictures? They look amazing!!
I have been making these epoxy cutting board molds but my epoxy draws towards the middle. So for instance if I add flowers the flowers eventually end up in the middle instead of spread all over…..do u know why this might be happening? It’s every time I make them even the colors
I tried do a photo and it ran when I placed the mod podge. Did you use photo paper? How long did you wait before placing the mod podge on the pictures?
Helpful video. You have a nice voice and while the music is not blaring it is difficult to hear you over it. Feel free to eliminate the music while you talk for your next one. Thanks for posting!
You can use Craft Resin, they have a heat resistance of 200F or 93C. 😃 I'll leave a discount code if you're interested to try them out, you can use code 'summergirldesigns' for 10% off: craft-resin.com/summergirldesigns
Hi.. Just want to know when i used for photos for modge poge.. It can see when i used for light arround the photo frame, like lines,What can i do for that🤔 pls help me
Love the video, but would help more if you would lower the audio of the music. Hard to understand what all you are saying with the music in the background.
They both came out looking beautiful. I think it is great that Mother and Daughter did this together.
Thank you so much ☺️

Great idea with the photos! Demolding the coasters is so satisfying to watch ^^
Thank you! Thats my favorite part 😃

This was SO helpful. So glad I found your video. Thank you lovely ladies!!
Simple easy and to the point! Thank you! So much!!!!!
Do you see brush marks from the mod podge? Also what is the heat resistant top coat you talked about?
What is the heat resistant top coat please? They are both really beautiful, a fine gift!
What pod podge/ paper type did you use? I’m wondering if it’s supposed to be glossy or matte. Also what app did you use for the filter?
Thank you, I've done this before but I needed a reminder!😊
I will absolutely try this!! 😁👍
What resign did you use for heat resistance top coat ?

The dog is so cute.

Great Video well done!
Can I use some modge podge of what I have?
Ty! Btw can I with a paint brush use some resin over a printed photo on a round piece of wood?

So how do you do it properly then
I spray a few coats of clear spray paint (letting dry between each coat, then apply a few coats of modge podge
THANNNNK youuuu 🙏@@glendajohnson9991
Sounds like a good way, thank you
Great idea! I wanna try this out later.
Thank you!
Can you provide the exact link of these coasters I want to make a coasters for my sons wedding guest as a keepsake, thanks in advance
Love you all beautiful work can I use a plastic cover or jar cover for a mold ok thanks for sharing and God bless
How did you print the photos like photos paper or regular paper
Wowww ❤️❤️❤️👍
What is the heat resistant top count ?
Thank you❤
do you need to coat both side of the photos with the mod podge?
How do you know which is a heat resistant topcoat and how do you use it?
I seen on another video someone mentioned using acrylic sealer spray instead of mod podge. Do you believe a sealer spray would suffice??

Hyy my photo is getting turning yellow and dull after I put my resin into it what should I do?
WHAT PHOTO PAPER AND PRINTER DID YOU USE? INKJET? LASER?
what is the mix you are adding to the coaster to begin with? Does it have any resin in it or just the micropowder? Does it just absorb into the resin when you pour to give you the border around the pictures? They look amazing!!
Thank you! We mixed mica powders with resin to add color and added in the photos the next day
so can i just use mod podge to seal the photos or would you recommend the art notch instead??
Mod podge will do just fine!
But which modge podge? Glossy or matte ?
@@ThePabonanthony either is fine but if you want your photos to retain shine then glossy would be better
I like how quiet you were talking in the video 😅 so relaxing 😊
I have two bostons! I love this idea. What photo app did you use? Not technology savvy at all.
They’re the best! The app is called Prism 😊
What about photos the print out on glossy photo paper will this still work?
I was wondering the same 🤔
Okay so i saw it on the shorts that someone was laminating the photo with the varnish can you show whether its possible or not
What is the heat restistant top coat?
Can we use pva glue /white glue instead of mod podge?
I tried white & clear glue & they both left streak marks
@@francesgarza3774 thank you so much 🌸

Might consider using a large craft punch to cut out your images for a nice perfect circle.
what's the heat resistant topcoat n where can I get it
I tried do a photo and it ran when I placed the mod podge. Did you use photo paper? How long did you wait before placing the mod podge on the pictures?
What app do you use ? Thanks
Heyy🤍
Should i use gloss mod podge or matte mod podge? Will they give different results?
What heat resistance did u use
Which paper you used for photo print
What size is the molds u used?

Same for me
Same for me I've also tried glue & clear glue same streaks
En México cómo puedo encontrar ese liquido que le pusieron?
Can we use mod podge as substitute for art potch
Yes!
Can u make them into Christmas ornaments too?
Yes! That’s a great idea 😊 You could drill a hole at the top and tie a ribbon through
How would I do it if the picture didnt go all the way to the edge?
We have to apply two time mod podge after 10 -10 min gap
Link please
Is that glossy picture paper or regular typing papar.
It’s art paper, similar to printing paper but a little thicker
Can't i put just a photo without coating with anything????
Love the video, but would help more if you would lower the audio of the music. Hard to understand what all you are saying with the music in the background.
Thanks for the feedback! My newer videos have lower music volume 😊
@@SummerGirlDesigns thank you for such a quick response.
Great video but as a hearing aid wearer I would prefer to hear your voice instead of the music.
