If you are going to use TAPE on your photos make sure to get photo friendly tape, some adhesive tapes contain chemicals that will yellow your photos over time. I learned this doing scrap-booking many years ago.
I love the tape method, quick, No Waiting Time & I would just cut a lil more closer to the picture but not on it!!! Thank you for this tutorial I needed this
@@kewaebolenRegina actually, there's a lot if household items that are more dangerous than resin like bleach but you don't use it often. In resin crafting, you tend to do it everyday, it makes it bad for you. It's really better to use mask while working with it. And work in a well-ventilated area. Open air.
Great video! I think all of the methods you used worked very well. I guess if you spend the money on good quality photo paper you wouldn't have to buy the other supplies, like tape and Mod Podge or laminator. I think the photo of Jennie that you didn't do anything to turned out fantastic! I am going to try some of these techniques. I don't have a laminator machine so probably not that one. Love these kinds of videos that show different ways of doing a project. Thanks so much for sharing.
This was a great video showing the different ways of protecting the photos. Will definitely watch it again to make my mind up which I will choose. Thank you

Happy to share 😊🎀 I have an updated version of this. You can print the pictures on Satin Photopaper or waterproof digital photopaper so you don't have to seal it
Thank you so much for this. You also include in your video that epoxy resins are toxic. Thank you for the very important information. Also i like you crafts, wish you well
Thank you so much. For you`r tutorial. I work with epoxy resin too. And I bought plastic for images before watching video. When I made 2 or 3 keychain with genshin. I see that sometimes resin damage image inside of plastic. But yeah. Plastic Is the best solution for resin
I loved your video. You showed the different techniques which was very helpful. Plus it was very professional. I subscribed. You have a lot of artistic talent. Thank you!
Thanks for your video. I loved it. The best method for me is lamination, as there's no chance for the photos to get soiled. I've used lamination method for most of my resin artwork.
I came to your channel just to find out that my method of using mod podge, that failed me, actually works! I'm so glad to hear I just needed a few more coats and not a whole method change. 😅
Recently, I discovered that printing the pictures in Satin Photo Paper is the best way. You don't need to put anything on the picture. You can put it directly on the resin.
@@EjoysArtSpace29 that's interesting. I cast with Craft Resin and it's a lovely quick cure, no odor and no bubbles resin but it destroyed my pictures I worked hard on. (THE WHOLE FNG PROJECT) so I'll be trying multiple layers of mod podge and laminating. With tape I think.
If you are going to laminate, make sure when you cut out you leave a small boarder of laminate - do not cut it out right on the picture edge, leave like 1/8" frame of laminate, at least, if not more if you can. (otherwise, fluids may leak into the pic)
The best resin I have found, both UV and epoxy, is Jdiction. If you are using the epoxy, let sit for five minutes after mixing. Instead of pouring directly into the mold, you can gently pour it over your stirring stick to help even more. After I pour it into the mold, I mist it with a light spray of alcohol. But don't do this if it's been sitting and curing very long. That will make your resin pucker and ruin the smoothness. Jdiction is by far my favorite resin! And it's reasonably priced, also.
Hello, I just subscribed to your channel because I love this video. I am now going through all your other videos sometime this afternoon. Can you please please please tell me what type of resin do you use because it is so super clear. I am new to resin and haven’t settled on a brand yet. I know the things that I have picked up from local stores are not that great so I have to find something that will work. You seem to have found it! Please respond

Hi. Please watch my latest upload po. Updated video on how to put pictures in resin. No need to laminate, no need to coat with mod podge, no need to cover with tape. Thanks!
Don't know who those pretty faces are but besides the 2 that had issues the other ones came out really nice! I have a little laminator I got on Amazon for less than $30USD. Just need to buy the heart mold! Hope mine turn out as good as yours!
I tried using the mod podge method cus I didn't like how I can see the edge through tape or lamination method but all my photos had ink bleeding when I mod podge it. Is there any way to prevent the ink from bleeding?
Make sure to dry the picture completely after printing before applying mod podge. I usually rest it for a day before applying mod podge. The quality of photo paper also affects it. You can use SATIN PHOTO PAPER next time. You don't have to sea l it anymore. Just put directly on reisn 😊
