To me, the moniker "remix" implies a light rework leaving melody in tact. It makes sense when a pop song gets a club remix. But a club remix of a club song is honestly an asinine concept to begin with.
Voodoo People is probably my favourite remixed song by Pendulum just because of the fact that 1. The original is great as fuck, and by one of the best bands of our current generation, 2. Drum N Bass fit Voodoo People so well. So when I found out this existed, you *know* I starting fucking bumpn'

I guess the different clips caused an amplification difference but I looked at Audacity plot spectrum and could not see a difference in any freqs. Maybe I'm old...?

yes, it's another offical version pendulum did full explanation for anyone wondering: this song is rob swire (the songwriter and producer of pendulum) changing the voodoo people remix into something different to surprise the crowd at a dj set. the idea is that when played out the crowd expects the original mix and gets a big vibe off the surprise of it being different. VIP in its title is an abbrevation of "Variation In Production". it's quite rare for a VIP mix to be released. sometimes the VIP mix is an upgraded (or unchanged) version of an earlier iteration of a track instead of being made after the final. In this case it has been made after the final (2005) in 2006.
The fact you put in the fucking JAZZ instruments too just UGGGGH, makes that bit sooo much better. There's this one live version of the original Pendulum Remix that I was dying for someone to remake as close as to the original, so I had a question, could you? It's possibly my (second after this) favourite remix of the song.
