There are actual citations from the nu metal bands you said were "probably" inspired by Bungle :
Serj Tankian from System of a Down cites Mike Patton as one of the biggest influences for his vocal style, being a "vocal instrumentalist" rather than a regular singer, he talked about it in interviews.
Joey Jordison, drummer and co-founder of Slipknot, cites Danny Heifetz from Mr. Bungle as part of his top 10 drummers of all time list. That alongside the Slipknot "Mate, Feed, Kill, Repeat" demo, which almost feels like a Bungle knock-off, really solidify their influence on the band.

Yo if Stubb’s your favourite song of all time then you should know Dunn wrote it, not Patton. Dunn wrote some of Bungle’s best stuff, musically and lyrically!
Also, awesome review! Don’t see many in depth looks at it like this from people who actually really like the band.

Haha yeah I knew that I'm sorry if it came off like I was crediting purely mike for it

Every member of Bungle have a writing credit on Stubb (A Dub).
You’re thinking of ‘Egg’. That’s is Trevor Dunn’s. ‘Love is a Fist’ was written by Dunn and Trey Spruance only.

Stubb a dub is also my favorite song of all time. The circusy riff after the chorus is literally my favorite riff or part of any song ever. Dead Goon is also my second favorite. We might be the same person lol

    Cool Video, Now Upon Watching,
I Will Share To You Regarding Your Video .
By The Way, "Faith No More" Was No Mere "Project" "Faith No Man" Was.
Before Patton Joined And Revitalized The Band To Stardom, They Were Already A World Famous Alternative Metal Band With Their The Then World Famous Debut Album.
    "Introduce Yourself".
Divindling RUclips Viewership Rates That Are Hardly Relevant To Songs And Bands That Had Their Massive Fame Back In Their Active Years, 30+ Years Ago Is Doesn't Make The World Famous Alt-Metal Symphosium Faith No More. " A Project " When Their Every Single Concerts Had Masses That Paled Nirvana, Alice In Chains And Soundgarden To " Dust " During Which Faith No More's Magnum Opus The " Angel Dust " Was Released During 1992, And 2 Other Major Rock And Roll History-Made Releases Coincidingly.
With Faith No More Dominating Against Grunge Bands During Their Peak, With Albums Such As The "Angel Dust" And "King For A Day Fool For A Lifetime", Faith No More's Grungey Alt Metal Music, Has Taunted The Most Belowed Hits In The Grunge Genre By Doing What They Do, Except Into Larger Than Life Symphosiums, Having Made Rock Music As A Whole Be Heard Larger Than Life For The First Time As Much As Rock Music's Associated Image And Singer/Rocker Persona's Already Were.
Faith No More, Just Like What Andrew Eldrich Did In The Mid 80's With Sisters Of Mercy For The Larger Eock Genre As A Whole, Has Both Inovated Rock Music As A Whole Trough Larger Than Life Symphoaiums That Can Be Felt Of Their "World" For Lack Of a Better Word Where "Performanxe" Pales In Comparison To Describe, Being Able To Be Felt On Record For The First Time Trough Each Having Utilized Masterful Sense Of Haemonics For A "Larger Than Life" Experience.
No Amount Of Dolby Surround Will Do This Treatment To Any Other Song/ Music Of What Faith No More Excelled Unrecognizably So Improved Upon The Peinciples Of " Projects " Such As Sisters Of Mercy And Genesis.
Self Admittedly By Everyone Starting 1992 Till Leading The Present, Down To Henry Rollins Even, Having Featured The Genius Of Mike Patton In Display Alongside Visionary Contemporary Artists Such As Imani Coppola Assisting Mike, As " The Peeping Tom " And " Tomahawk " Respectively. Listen To Angel Dust Album. And Prepare To Be Shook.
Start To Finish, No Skipping, No Xontemporary Age Attention Deficit Low Willpower Attitude, Enjoy Being Captivsted By It Fully As It Is Meant To Be.
Angel Dust Is The Hook And You Are The Oblivious Fiah, Nomatter Hoe Much You Fathom And Nomatter How Many Prior Introductions Nor Listens You May Have Had To The Album.
It Captivates A Human's Consciouss And Exposes Your Good Bad And Most Definitely The Ugly Troıgh It's Rock And Roll Coated Symphonies. Whilst Entertaining Musically.
      Angel Dust.
The Only Rock Music Album That Is Simultaniously The Most Down To Earth And Relatable By All Ages Yet Erradically Larger Than Life, A Magnum Opus Not In Terms Of Mere Quality Alone But Trough By the Fact That Faith No More Definirively Beought The World Of Rock, A Series Of "Symphonies" With This Album, With Songs Being A Delivery Method.
Faith No More Is A Symphosium Galore Of Alternative Hard Music.

Great Video, Really Enjoyed It But Curious, Why Bring Up New Metal In Such A Unusual Way, Whilst Otherwise Suggesting. Mr Bungle May Have Inspired Them Is Not Elitism Period, Given Nu Metal Did Not Exist Troughout Entirety Of 1980's.

They were named from a character in a 1960's elementary school film on how to behave properly. The kid in the video was a total screw up whose behavior was described as being a "Mr. Bungle".
