The real good thing is his horse's name. it's called Chi Tu in Mandarin but it's called *SEX* Tao in Hokkien. I give 10/10 for horse name.

Like in book yeah he is strong but he was a stupid jock who betrayed his adopted father cuz of some hot chick and than everyone else too just cuz he thought he was hot shit. In the end he got executed while begging for for his life and his whole story take part in maybe the first 10% of the story.

The horse was an homage to his horse called “Red Hare”, the fastest horse in history.

Here is a cool idea for Vi's skin: Her gauntlets seem to look like chinese lion statues. Usually there are two statues together with one being a male (holding a ball in one paw) and the other being a female (holding a cub in one paw). Since Vi is gay, it would have been cool to have a nod to that with maybe the lion gauntlets having little tiny lion cubs on their heads or something, so the gauntlets are as gay as her. I actually really like the minimal particle effects WK Katarina has, and how clean it looks compared to a lot of her other (and other WK) skins. It gives Kat a subtle / fluid eastern assassination vibe, while all of her other skins feel flashy (or just bad, like the older skins). Deathsworn Kat is the possible exception, and it's also one of my favorites.

One of the only reason why I like Garen's is this is his only skin where his ult is actually 3d model and not flat 2d piece drawn with the aspect of the gameplay's angle to make it look it has depth.

I really like this skin line's general aesthetic personally. Its funny that you call Warring Kingdoms Xin Zhao a Dynasty Warriors knockoff cuz that's pretty much exactly what it is. I know there's a lot of comments explaining this but I'm a fan of the Dynasty Warriors series so the skin line gets some bias points for me just because of that. Some of them are directly based on characters from Dynasty Warriors: Warring Kingdoms Jarvan looks just like Lu Bu, Warring Kingdoms Xin Zhao is Zhao Yun, and Warring Kingdoms Tryndamere is Guan Yu (which, as far as I know, is very much intentional for these examples). I'm glad the skins expanded to be more of their own thing later on instead of just constantly lifting stuff from Dynasty Warriors.
Dynasty Warriors is not the origin of these characters. They're all characters from a fictional tale based on real life people called Romance of the Three Kingdoms. And their designs are consistent across most forms of media from movies to card games like San Guo Sha.

Most of the appeal of this skin line comes from the Dynasty Warriors refenrences -- and by extension the references to the Three Kingdoms Period in China. For someone like you who doesn't get the references, this skin line has pretty much no value.
This, just the fact that Jarvan has a Lu Bu skin made me play him. I really wish that they were more clear as to which characters they are refrencing like how Tryndamere is clearly Guan Yu or how Xin Zhao is Zhao Yun.
as a chinese person, i feel like the need to explain this xin zhao -> zhao yun jarvan -> lv bu trynd -> Guan yu these are almost mythical figures of chinese warriors in china. they are highly praised, every single chinese child will learn about the three warring kingdom before the age of 10 and there are NO EXCEPTIONS. Zhao yun is a very cool warrior that 1v300ed a bunch of people using a spear, Lv bu (or Lu bu) is probably the most strongest of them all and fights with a spear with blades on both sides, Guan yu is a very loyal warrior that helped one of the kings of the warring kingdoms (liu bei), he has the strongest horse and wields a blade called the Green Dragon Crescent Blade. anyways this is super cool shit, read "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" if you want to learn more. P.S. i absolutely adore the j4 skin
The Jarven is a nod to Lü Bu a player from the three kingdoms but also Dynasty warriors he was always a scary boss in the game which you’d avoid or he’d kill you lol :p

Even though it says "Mecha Kingdoms" I still relate the skins to the Kaiju/Mecha skinlines, MK Jax being the only one with any sort of Asian accents to it.
Honestly, Warring Kingdom, Beast Hunter, and Sultan are the only skins I actually like for Tryndamere. Beast Hunter especially. I'm not a fan of the Nightmare Tryn because I don't like horror and Silent Hill scarred me as a kid, Chemtech is just... too much, and his Demonblade is literally just Nightmare from Soul Calibur but worse in every way. Warring Kingdoms give him a dope af beard, Sultan makes him look swanky, and Beast Hunter... I just like Monster Hunter and this skin line is basically just that. Otherwise, WK J4 is Lu Bu from the Dynasty Warriors series which is the extent of my knowledge because, tbh, DW isn't that fun. I've only enjoyed one DW crossover which was Hyrule Warriors because I like Zelda. The best skin in the Warring Kingdom skin line IS definitely Azir though. The recall alone makes it worth it.
To be honest… there is hardly anything creative with what they did in this skin line. Maybe like slight inspiration to Wuxia novels, but if you want that then just go eternal blade or somethin. The jade weaponry is cool, but they could have done so much more with Chinese fantasy. Like fucking Jangshi’, Yaoguai’s, like hell just give me some fucking qi cultivation with ink splatters for attack impacts like a reference to calligraphy or something?!?! I will add however I do love the armor designs and I am a sucker for skimpy Chinese dresses… like Nidalee and Katarina do got me actin up. But that’s about it. They could use some references to plum blossoms and talismans, or maybe some Taoist references or something. Azir however is perfect.
Vi's splash art is like 10 times better than in her in game model for this. And while they aren't really interesting skins, I had a soft spot for J4 and Xin Zhao because I was a big fan of the novel and games they are based on. Also, League didn't have nearly as many skins back then

One of the only reason why I like Garen's is this is his only skin where his ult is actually 3d model and not flat 2d piece drawn with the aspect of the gameplay's angle to make it look it has depth.
I really like Jarv xin and Nida, they remind me of Dynasty warriors, a game that i played a lot of as a child.
Maybe the jarvan skin resembles general Lu Bu with the plumage on the helm and the dark armor, if I remember correctly. He was one, if not the best, chinese general of his time

Clear reference:
Romance of the Three Kingdoms (surely you’ve heard of it)
Xin Zhao: Zhao Yun, this skin is almost entirely ripped off from KOEI’s Dynasty Warriors Franchise. Known as one of the most daring generals who once single-handedly escaped through hundred thousands of enemy soldiers. Actually Xin Zhao’s lore has a huge portion of reference to him.
J4: also entirely ripped off from Lu Bu’s visual in Dynasty Warriors. Known as the most powerful warrior of the time, but also an entirely self-possessed, shameless warlord. Nothing similar to j4.
Tryndamere: based on Guan Yu, a person apotheosized by Chinese people as a resemblance of loyalty, righteousness and military supremacy. Also god of fortune. Again, nothing similar to Tryndamere.
Azir: based on Sima Yi, an ever-calculating, brooding military commander of Wei Kingdom. Commonly depicted as the arch nemesis of Zhuge Liang, who is apotheosized by Chinese culture as the godly figure of military acumen.
Nidalee: based on Sun Shangxiang, in a time where men call the shots, she was known as a volatile ‘female general’ but never really has been deployed on the field.
Katarina: based on Diaochan, the most beautiful woman of the time. Lu Bu’s concubine. She was used to seduce Lu Bu to betray his lord and succeeded.
Garen: based on Zhang Liao, who first worked for Lu Bu and later became a grand general of Wei Kingdom. Known for his military acumen and courageous moves. His actual military success surpassed Lu Bu by a long shot.
Vi: based on Xu Chu, google this man. I find nothing comparable between these 2 aside from both being known for their recklessness.

Riven: based on Mulan. You’ve seen the Disney movie, yes that Mulan.
Talon: out of nowhere seems straight coming from an anime or some mysterious lore.

I really like this skin line's general aesthetic personally. Its funny that you call Warring Kingdoms Xin Zhao a Dynasty Warriors knockoff cuz that's pretty much exactly what it is. I know there's a lot of comments explaining this but I'm a fan of the Dynasty Warriors series so the skin line gets some bias points for me just because of that. Some of them are directly based on characters from Dynasty Warriors: Warring Kingdoms Jarvan looks just like Lu Bu, Warring Kingdoms Xin Zhao is Zhao Yun, and Warring Kingdoms Tryndamere is Guan Yu (which, as far as I know, is very much intentional for these examples). I'm glad the skins expanded to be more of their own thing later on instead of just constantly lifting stuff from Dynasty Warriors.
Dynasty Warriors is not the origin of these characters. They're all characters from a fictional tale based on real life people called Romance of the Three Kingdoms. And their designs are consistent across most forms of media from movies to card games like San Guo Sha.

Most of the appeal of this skin line comes from the Dynasty Warriors refenrences -- and by extension the references to the Three Kingdoms Period in China. For someone like you who doesn't get the references, this skin line has pretty much no value.
This, just the fact that Jarvan has a Lu Bu skin made me play him.
I really wish that they were more clear as to which characters they are refrencing like how Tryndamere is clearly Guan Yu or how Xin Zhao is Zhao Yun.

jarvan -> lv bu
trynd -> Guan yu
these are almost mythical figures of chinese warriors in china. they are highly praised, every single chinese child will learn about the three warring kingdom before the age of 10 and there are NO EXCEPTIONS.
Zhao yun is a very cool warrior that 1v300ed a bunch of people using a spear,
Lv bu (or Lu bu) is probably the most strongest of them all and fights with a spear with blades on both sides,
Guan yu is a very loyal warrior that helped one of the kings of the warring kingdoms (liu bei), he has the strongest horse and wields a blade called the Green Dragon Crescent Blade.

Even though it says "Mecha Kingdoms" I still relate the skins to the Kaiju/Mecha skinlines, MK Jax being the only one with any sort of Asian accents to it.
Honestly, Warring Kingdom, Beast Hunter, and Sultan are the only skins I actually like for Tryndamere. Beast Hunter especially. I'm not a fan of the Nightmare Tryn because I don't like horror and Silent Hill scarred me as a kid, Chemtech is just... too much, and his Demonblade is literally just Nightmare from Soul Calibur but worse in every way. Warring Kingdoms give him a dope af beard, Sultan makes him look swanky, and Beast Hunter... I just like Monster Hunter and this skin line is basically just that.
Otherwise, WK J4 is Lu Bu from the Dynasty Warriors series which is the extent of my knowledge because, tbh, DW isn't that fun. I've only enjoyed one DW crossover which was Hyrule Warriors because I like Zelda. The best skin in the Warring Kingdom skin line IS definitely Azir though. The recall alone makes it worth it.

To be honest… there is hardly anything creative with what they did in this skin line. Maybe like slight inspiration to Wuxia novels, but if you want that then just go eternal blade or somethin. The jade weaponry is cool, but they could have done so much more with Chinese fantasy. Like fucking Jangshi’, Yaoguai’s, like hell just give me some fucking qi cultivation with ink splatters for attack impacts like a reference to calligraphy or something?!?!
I will add however I do love the armor designs and I am a sucker for skimpy Chinese dresses… like Nidalee and Katarina do got me actin up. But that’s about it. They could use some references to plum blossoms and talismans, or maybe some Taoist references or something. Azir however is perfect.

Shoutout to Warring Kingdoms Vi's splashart. One of the best in the game, IMO.
Vi's splash art is like 10 times better than in her in game model for this. And while they aren't really interesting skins, I had a soft spot for J4 and Xin Zhao because I was a big fan of the novel and games they are based on. Also, League didn't have nearly as many skins back then
