As impressive as that generator is..I'm more impressed with how gorgeous your lawn is..good job sir!
Thanks 🙏🏾
You do have a nice place and rv. Thanks for a review on these gensets. I have the older eu7000is Honda and its been acting up lately and don't want to spend $5k on a new one.
@@davidroberts2404 What's it doing?
I noticed that too. The hardest work is keeping that RV so clean. He takes good care of his stuff.
@@davidroberts2404the EU7000 is better than the Predator. If yours is acting up have it serviced and tuned up. I have the older EU6500 and it runs like a dream. The newer Generators are enticing with new features, but most important is it running when you really need it and Honda engineers equipment for the long term.
Excellent! The Predator Company should be very proud that there is someone like you to demonstrate their product. You had all of your ducks in a row with your thorough display of what a generator could do. Bravo!
Thanks 🙏🏾 I appreciate your support
that's funny, there is no "predator" company it's simply an in-house name from HF (harbor freight) for their own house brand products they sell which are custom made for them by several different manufactures even for the same model they use a couple different manufactures that can meet their spec in-order to keep up with product demand; but Yes I agree HF does own him lots of gratitude for all his hard work doing these videos
If a dude with a sweet-ass RV like that runs the HF Predator, it’s gotta be pretty sweet! Thanks for the great review/testing!
I am blown away by your flawless, green yard, Class A MH, oscilloscope, db meter, fancy surge protector! You are also a good teacher explaining results. Keep the great reviews coming! Oh yeah, and the Predator 9500 is good also.
😅 Thanks Gman you have my nickname lol
Thanks for taking the time for a great review. I've been looking at upgrading for my house in emergency situations. This definitely helps on sealing the deal on this particular unit.
Thank you so very much for such an in depth review! Please keep up the excellent work!
Excellent test! I'm launching a coffee trailer and found this video helpful as we plan on using this exact generator on that trailer. Thank you!
Great video Gavin. Extremely informative for anyone looking obtain or upgrade a generator.
Thanks you
This was a great and informative video. I went and bought one of these after seeing this. Well done.
Excellent video! I’ve seen a lot of videos stating portable generators supply “dirty” power, you’re video cleared that misconception up. Thanks for sharing, I’m sold on the Predator now.
I think this one is clean because it’s an inverter generator. Non-inverter generators are the ones that can potentially put out dirty power.
First time watching. Definitely Subscribed!! The OCD is strong with @Gavin's Garage, much respect. Your grass is beautiful. Nice RV. AND Excellent review and presentation.
😅🤣 thanks buddy
You got some crazy cool gear Gavin! Great vid. I've been looking at a generator, and this one stands out. You may have sealed he deal for me, Sir. Thank you!! Nice yard, by the way.
Thanks 🙏🏾
Best review of a HF generator, good job and thanks.
Awesome video I’m sold on the Predator inverter. Definitely subscribed to your channel. Please keep these awesome videos coming
Great test review and load test! Thanks
Great Video!! You have explained the capabilities of this Generator better then any other channel that I agave watched. Thank you very much.
Thanks 😊
Thanks for putting this video together. It answered all my questions. You sir are a pro!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your time and effort Gavin! Would love to see more info on your transfer switch and hookup as i plan on getting the same setup if harbor fright ever stocks them!
Crazy thing is , ive seen a few videos the scenery looks so familiar and just realized we might be neighbors lol!
Thanks for watching
We probably could be 😅
I’m going to save up for this one. Wow. Another great video! Thanks for sharing! 👍🏼👍🏼
Yessir
Thanks Brad
Best review video I have ever watched. I am looking to get a generator and I’m very happy to have come across your video. You covered everything in great detail. Thank you!
Thanks for watching. I hope you liked and subscribed.👍🏾💯
Great Video! I'm picking my 9500 up tomorrow. Been waiting several months for it to arrive.
That’s awesome 😎
Very impressed with this practical no nonsense review...
Great job. A lot of work doing this. Thank you.
Thank you, Douglas
Excellent, thanks for the video. It’s good to see that you can run everything with a generator like this. Especially for those that have the rv, parked at a certain place. We have to remember that these videos of generator are so we can benefit of which one we might need or want as a back up for our house or to run our rv’s. All modern motor homes already have a generator in them. So thanks for the videos Gavin, I appreciate them and how informative they are for our benefit. 👍🙏
Thanks
Most people don’t realize that a 50 amp RV is wired identical to a home with two 120v legs so when I do this test on the 50 amp RV it will be the same results on a home backup.
@@GeneratorReviews did you have a link for the co monitor and the air quality monitor?
@@sae1964 I added it to the description just now
Gavin, Excellent demonstration of the Predator 9500. I was looking for reviews of the 9500 and came across your channel.
You are a true professional in the method of testing . You sold me on the 9500.
You have another subscriber. . Take care!
Thanks 😊 for watching and subscribing 😎👍🏾💯
The beginning where he tells you to use the 2 30 amp twist locks to make 60amps shows he has no idea what he's talking about. The far right twist lock is 30amp 240volt. It's not 60amp. It's 2 30amp legs in different phases.
Yes sir! This was extremely helpful and answered lots of questions for me. Thank you for sharing.
No problem 😉
My dude!! This review is everything 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Awesome video and amazing product.
Thanks dude 😎😎👍🏾
Happy you liked it!!
Hey
Thanks for such a thorough review
I am new to full time RVing I’ve been really hesitant on which generator to purchase this has helped me tremendously
Thanks
You’re welcome and thanks for watching👍🏾
If it can run that RV, heck I am sure it will run my 30 tag along unit. Nice RV and I am glad that I found your channel and I will be following you. Happy Easter 2022 from Arkansas.
Thanks I appreciate that and thanks for the sub.
Happy Easter to you and your family😊
This is the coolest nicest looking rv that I have ever seen. Super nice!
Thanks 😊
Outstanding review, outstanding RV and outstanding lawn 🤎💪🏾. Thank you!
Appreciate you watching
Thanks 🙏🏾
I'm so appreciative of this video. You really put it through the paces. I want to get one for my camper. Only problem is there's none in stock. Excellent test and quality video. 👍👍👍
Thanks 🙏🏾
Appreciate your feedback 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Beautiful coverage of how to get 50A from the generator! This video was exactly what I was looking for, and your other DuroMax review. If those surge guards are to reduce ripple, they should probably go closer to the device (the RV).
You did an amazing job on this video. You run a tight ship over there and you have some awesome pro toys for measuring everything.
BEST VIDEO YET that I have found. THANK YOU!
Thanks
Dang! That grass is beautiful!
Thanks 😊
You got nice stuff, love the Grass, corner Bush.
Thanks J Sm
Best review on this generator I’ve seen
Thank you sir 👍🏾
Just picked one up this past week! Cant' wait to get my transfer switch hooked up for my home.
Yessir Nothing feels better than being prepared for these power outages especially with that generator you got you can run anything under your roof
Good video. I’m contemplating on buying one. Thanks for uploading.
Thank you for this video help me make a decision on purchasing a setup for my 50 amp fifth wheel.

Wow that’s all I have to say!!! Great test.

I really enjoyed your video and got a lot of information from it, from an RVs perspective which is what I'm looking for. I've been full-time now for like 2 and 1/2 years and I have a Honda 2200 that runs my 30 amp trailer that I tow behind my 20/20 Jeep gladiator. In the winter I go all over the United States returning the summer I stay at my home in a Beach community and I'm looking for a nice big generator that will love being able to run the Rv as well as both apartments in the house whenever there's an emergency and it can run my air conditioner all summer long if I want in the RV. You've convinced me that this is the perfect generator for me.
Thanks for watching and subscribing 👍🏾💯
Safe travels my friend
Yup I drove 430 miles round trip today to get this item due to your review. I really want to thank you for some real info on these cheap Gens. Maybe I would do a few oil changes before I really need to rely on this unit . Thanks.
Thanks for watching
Glad it helped you. Yessir change your oil run it in eco mode and switch to synthetic oil after the first 100 hours 😎👍🏾
Thank you for a real good video!
Thanks 🙏🏾
Just found your channel and subscribed. Look forward to watching your video's.
Welcome 😎 Thanks 🙏🏾
Excellent content brother!
Thanks 🙏🏾
Great video. The HarborFreight generator information states it is already protected for low voltage conditions however I agree with you! Use a serge protector. Why not give your RV all the power protection possible. Thanks again for the video. We really like all of our Predator generators.
Thanks
gracias excelente trabajo
Nice review and nice Oscope.
Happy you liked it
Thanks for watching
I love that he has a scope to see it's a true sine wave.
Great review, appreciate the oscilloscope to show the clean power. The noise is from the AC motors. Making me think I should get a surge guard for mine even though I'll only use it for my house. My RV has a generator.
I was thinking the same, surge guard for the house if I run out of fuel to prevent bad things happening to my furnace, etc.
This was a very interesting video. Its the first time I have seen someone put a scope on the AC under a significant load. Well done. I have to disagree with your assessment of the signal however. It was not perfect. There was harmonic distortion. I will tell you was WAS perfect, and that is your lawn! Man your grass looks like carpet! This is a great video. Thanks for taking the time to make it.
Thanks Marty
Yes they do claim 5% harmonic distortion I probably should have mentioned that. Hey but thanks for sharing your thoughts I always appreciate that. Hope I see you around the comments section again. Thanks buddy 👍🏾
Gavin, very professional video with real-world details. I'm evaluating backup generators for my home targeted for late spring 2022 completion. I appreciate your use of a scope to demonstrate wave form but I wish HF disclosed THD in their specs. Northern Tool who also markets a nice product line does disclose THD. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the kind words I truly appreciate it 👌🏾
My wife and I used to host at an RC park, and I’ve seen three of those Y plugs melt. We also was camp hosts at a state park for almost ten years. I also was a maint tech at the same state park for four years. I seen one if the Y plugs or, and had two electrical pedestals overheat, one melting one of the 15 amps, and another melt and start a fire in the pedestal.
Yep that’s what happens when they over load the 15amps y adapters with 30amps
The one am using is the two 30amps input with 50amps output
Well done!! Thank you!
Thank you sir!
That’s it you convinced me I’m on my way right now to hf to buy that generator great video best in-depth video thank you sr.
Thanks and you’re welcome 👍🏾
Nice grass dude, great job!
Thanks 😊
Thanks for this. I've been looking at inverter generators for some time. Loved your "real world" tests. Didn't know if the 9500 was worth the price but after watching your video, I think it is. The clean output does it for me.
Thanks 🙏🏾
Very impressive, word has it that the predator has a limited supply. God job Gavin enjoy your videos
Thanks 🙏🏾
I appreciate that
Great Video!
I enjoyed watching this video. Thanks
Thanks
Your RV is nicer than my house .
I need a raise or a better job lol . Thanks for the video it's gonna help me decide what generator to buy .

Yes was thinking the same thing
Nice video Gavin. I just subscribed.
Thanks I appreciate that and welcome 🤗
Great video, appreciate it.

Awesome idea with the plugs
Thanks!
Duuuude that is a beautiful coach!
Thanks 😊
I picked up one of these yesterday for backup power during outages. I was really impressed with how quiet it was. I have two Honda 2000w generators on loan to me right now and this was very similar noise level to running both of those.
Yes I was also surprised how quiet it is.
Don’t forget about the Generator safety rules: Always make sure you follow all the generator safety rules before using your portable generator. This is only a safety reminder. Generators can be dangerous if not used carefully. Every year, hundreds of people die or get injured when using portable generators due to carbon monoxide poisoning and electrocution. Make sure you are using your generator carefully and keeping others safe as well. There is something very serious that everyone should always be aware of when using generators. Some people do run their generator indoors which is not safe and that increases the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning which can cause death of family and you. Some people run their generator in wet conditions which can electrocute them. Please remember that you should never run your generator indoors. Remember that carbon monoxide is an odorless and colorless gas that you cannot see or smell. Carbon monoxide is a silent killer. Keep that in mind. Make sure your generator is 15-20 feet away from your house and away from doors, windows, and vents. Never use your generator in your porch too. Having a carbon monoxide detector is very important against generator safety. Some people also allow children to go near the portable generator which could pose risks. We need to keep an eye on our children making sure that they are not near the portable generator so they won’t get electrocuted or burned by the generator which is dangerous. A locking enclosure also keeps kids safe. A generator shed might look like a tempting place to explore, or take cover during a game of hide and seek, but a generator is a dangerous piece of equipment that can cause injury. It says on the manual that we should also keep children away at all times from the portable generator to avoid injuries. Please do not allow a child or unqualified people to operate the portable generator. It is important to keep your children safe especially little ones. The portable generator can be hot during an operation. Just because some manuals missed what should be listed doesn’t mean it’s safe to do. Always follow the generator safety rules when using portable generators. Generators pose electrical risks. If you need to use your generator during wet weather, you need a generator tent to protect your generator from getting wet. Don’t let your generator get wet. Keep your generator dry and before using your generator, please make sure your hands and your generator is dry. Do not wear loose clothing when operating the generator. Everything that is said on the generator’s operating manual should not be ignored. Never smoke cigarettes near the generator. Please keep flammable things away from the generator. Never overload your generator too. Your generator can catch fire. Never ever try to plug a generator cord into a wall outlet to avoid back feeding. Back feeding your generator is dangerous. Always turn on your generator first before plugging in appliances and shut off the appliances before turning your generator off. Use a heavy duty cord for your generator and the cord should not be worn out. All the instructions should be followed carefully. Never refuel your generator while it’s running. It can cause fire if fuel spills while your generator is hot. You should turn off your generator and let it cool off before refueling it. Having a fire extinguisher next to the generator is also important. This is only a reminder for everyone’s safety of using generators. Make sure your generator is properly grounded. Having a fire extinguisher next to the generator is also important against the safety rules. ruclips.net/video/I1jT3ANENvI/видео.html and here is a video more about keeping others safe when using generators and also about our family’s safety. It’s important to keep our little children safe as well. Make sure they’re away from the generator. Hope this helps.
