Without anyone saying it, it's obvious that this music goes beyond natural talent. It's a gift from God
This made me cry BIG!! As a chronically ill mom, I felt so guilty that I couldn't take my daughter to piano lessons. She loved playing. All I could do was take her hands and pray over them asking God to annoint her and teach her. Two days ago a VERY talented piano player that has played for over 40 years told me that my 15 year old daughter has surpassed her in piano playing and the only explanation was that it was a gift from God.🙌 Thanks so much for sharing this!! God knows how to give good gifts to his children!!

Not too long ago, I first heard Kim play! I was overwhelmed with her talent. What I heard and what I saw was mind boggling! I listen every chance I get!! I knew instantly she was gifted and this could only come from God!! When I heard her story ! My mind told me this is no surprise?? She is by far the best I have ever listened to & watched ! What a beautiful Christian, what a beautiful family who give us such beautiful music! I could listen to them 24/7! I feel God provided them to me all of a sudden as they have been performing a long time but I had never heard of them before! I am hooked for life! Thank you for sharing your talent to the world, you are beautiful people sharing your wonderful faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

You can feel the anointing and the glory she gives to God in each and every note she hits. I LOVE listening to her play and this family is just amazingly talented, NOT FAKE, glorify God in all that they do, they live what they proclaim and that is the ministry of the gospel of Jesus Christ through music!

I knew your story before I heard it from you! God gave me my gift of playing when I was quite young, also! My mother was a church piano player. She really didn't want me to play because her brother played the blues well and never went to church. When my church recognized my talant and sent me to the best teacher in our area, I promised God that if he gave me that sound and style of the " educated " sound of this Negro teacher, I would always serve the church and school! Well, I'm 82 this year and retired after more than 72 years as a church and school music servant. I never played in the clubs. My son is now carrying on as 4th generation musician in our family.what inspiration I get when I hear this great woman of God render her best unto the Lord!

HALLELUJAH! WHAT A GIFT! I stumbled upon your video and am so blessed! I'm 63 and been singing in the choir since I was 12! God gave me the passion to worship HIM anywhere I'm asked to, in regular Sunday Choir, Wake services and even in a non-Christian gathering, singing Christian songs also! Now, I'll start reviewing my basic piano with the second hand keyboard that I bought for my 63rd birthday! I want to worship God playing the keyboard and who knows,to compose songs by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit! Shalom!

Shocking to me that anybody could give this video a thumbs down. The enemy prowls around “like” a roaring lion. We live in very challenging times and we need to turn off the news and fill our hearts with stories like this. There is no greater miracle then the Salvation of Jesus Christ but God has poured out countless miracles on mankind, none of which we’ve earned or deserved.
I was a PK and I so loved your testimony. I am an Organist and my experience is so much like yours, only I started playing about 5 and it was in the key of "C". My Uncle and Dad, Mom and Aunt laid hands on me and asked the Lord to give me the ability to play for Him. I started playing for services when I was about 12 years old and have played for church worship ever since. The Lord is good and faithful to us.

As a pianist for most of my life, I know first hand how difficult it is to play some of the things that some of the Gospel pianists play. I started playing at age 6. I'm now 52. I had 3 different teachers. 4 if you include my piano professor for the one semester of college. Of those, only 2 were formal, and both of those were short lived for teaching me, 6 months or less. I also played by ear. If I could hear it, I could have the music and work thru it. Playing by ear is a very hard struggle for formal piano teachers. They don't like it when students do that. I was introduced to Dino's music first around the age of 19 or 20. I was hooked on his music the very first time I saw him in concert. I started playing his music. Not strictly from the music, but by the way I heard him play it on his recordings. Then I saw Anthony while going to some of the Gaither Homecoming concerts. I never was able to play a lot of his stuff. I couldn't figure out how he did some of the things he did. Then, at another one of the Gaither Homecoming concerts, a GaitherFest in Myrtle Beach, SC, the Collingsworth family sang and I heard Kim play for the very first time. I believe that was in 2011. The very first time I heard their harmony, I knew they were special. Then when Kim sat down at the piano and played, It was like seeing and hearing Dino and Anthony all over again, but rolled up into one. She has the stage presence and classical styling of Dino with the arrangement types of Anthony. She also has a lot of the early Dino style as well. I can't do some of the things she does either. God blesses people at specific times with specific gifts. One of my opinions is that God blessed Kim with her abilities because He knew he was going to call Anthony home earlier than most would have thought and He needed someone to continue to carry that torch onward. And she does that with ease. Her anointing is very obvious and evident in her playing. The whole family praises God and makes sure He is given all the glory for everything they have done, are doing and will do. Without God, we are nothing. Thru God, we can do all things. I'm not taking away from any other pianists in the industry by any means. There some great ones. Jeff Stice, Josh Singletary, Gerald Wolfe and so many others. I think people like Kim and Anthony were given their talents for a specific purpose. Anthony used his and Kim still uses her talent for God, letting others know the power of God. He can do anything He wants. We just have to ask, be receptive for that gift and truly believe that it will be given to us. Then use it to honor and glorify His name. I pray that Kim and the entire Collingsworth family continues to bring their ministry in song to the people around world. This world so desperately needs to hear the Word now. God loves all of His children. We need to hear His word and his message. We need His guidance, His love, His grace and His mercy right now. Thank you Phil, Kim, Brooklyn, Courtney, Phil Jr. and Olivia for your unwavering service to the Lord. May the Lord continue to bless each of you and use you to spread His message of love, hope and peace to all those who need to hear it and need to be reminded of it.
Lovely elocution! And what you are blessed to do is no less, you play by air, that is a God-given trademark for you. God has not given a lot of people that master! So be encouraged that you can do both. I totally agree with all and all you said about God giving us a "torch" in using other pianists for Him. Our Father plans purposefully and perfectly. What a God! When I see her playing and can spiritually see God's hands just guiding her fingers on the piano and not even the camera's can catch a fraction of what He's actually doing in and through her. Thanks for sharing your story! Yes, Kim is anointed by God with the gift of "playing by ear" and I also think that formal training could have taken away some of the "specialness" of her playing. She brings me right to the THRONE ROOM. My family and I also have the gift. As you said about your teachers, during my 2nd and last piano class at age 14, my piano teacher came in the room while I was playing "How Great Thou Art", (certainly nothing like this video, but I was "pretending" to be a concert pianist at the time), and he scolded me. He said I should be practicing my scales and "never do that again". I was told many decades later by a trained pianist that the teacher was probably a bit jealous that he couldn't do what I did, thereby the scolding. My Mom did not send me back when I told her about it, and in all truth, we could not afford the $3 dollars per hour. I have been happy to bless ppl with my music and the joy that comes in singing with my family as the Collingsworths do. That is reward enough! We will be surprising my Mother with a special concert for her 90th Birthday this coming Memorial Day!

I will continue to play this to those in my life who don't know Jesus and pray over them during and after this gifted woman's recital.

Kim, I heard you play for the first time through FBA Palm Sunday 2023. I just heard your story about asking God for a gift. When our DIL was experiencing her first child I prayed he would have a heart for God as King David did and that he would have a musical gift that would speak to God’s people. He is almost 11 years old now. Kim, God answered my prayer. His story sounds much like yours. I pulled up the FBA service this past Sunday and let him hear you play. He was riveted to the piece. As if each note was being stored into his being. When he plays it’s as if he is one with the music. God truly answered your prayer and ours. Thank you for your testimony. To God be the Glory!

I just recently got hooked up to your music and have sung in a gospel quartet for 25 years you guys are heavenly. It honors God.
Kim testimony is much like my old son that can play anything on a piano.
We sent him to Liberty for 6 months and they said to come and pick him up, we can’t teach him anymore that God has so gifted this young man.

Though I in NO WAY am blessed with the magnitude of Mrs Kim's gift, our stories are incredibly similar!!!! Oldest Pastor's daughter of 5. Always enthralled with music-even crying at specials as a child. Migrated to a piano in ANY room. At 6 I played Mansion over the Hilltop and shocked the children's SS teacher! I did have sporadic lessons from 6-8. (Had to walk so weather played a part. Didn't always have a quarter!). Asked God to please let me play the piano for church. By 10 I was playing for SS classes, then Children's church, Youth Group, filling in on vacation days for the church pianist. I loved every challenge and found that playing in flats was so much better than sharps! I'd put an AM radio on top of the old upright piano and copy the country songs or religious station. I challenged myself to play a certain number of pages in the hymnal every week. Not just the ones I knew! Whew!
Then my Dad was called to a larger church in Orlando. At almost 14, the elderly pianist handed over the "church pianist job" to me. What??!!!! Now I was nervous! I'd never played choir music! But you know what God did? He gave my head and hands abilities I had no reason to understand! At 15 I played my first Christmas cantata! I can't tell you how except God knew I HAD TO! I only dated one man, my husband. My parents went to the courthouse to sign for their 17 11/12 yr old to marry an almost 23 yr old USN Jesus lovin sailor! We, along w our 3 sons and their families, have served Jesus over 42 yrs. I'm now 60 & Jerry is 65. He's pastored the same church almost 30 years. God is still good. Thank you for listening! Suzan A. So much of her story sounds much like my own when I was little. My mother read me a bedtime story about a little girl who wanted to play the piano so she prayed for a piano to take lessons on and Jesus heard her prayers.So I did the same, and Jesus answered my prayers. I took about 6 months of lessons but enjoyed playing hymns rather than my lesson pieces. (Mostly by ear) I’ve since picked up playing the organ as well and can pretty much hold my own while playing in church. Thank you Kim for your story, it brought back memories I had forgotten about through the years. Thank you Jesus for the precious gift you gave to me so many years ago
My experience was similar as yours and hated the little piano lessons, but played church songs by ear when I was about 10-12. Eventually I played the piana in some of the small churches we were attending and I wanted to learn the accordian and God taught me the accordian and I played it in the church orchestra until my husband and I married when I was 24. ! It is amazing what God can teach you! (also learned the guitar and organ!)

Would not have missed it for the World
Your family has been such a wonderful blessing to me in the last few years through some of the darkest times in my life. Our middle son died tragically 12 years ago at the age of 21, leaving our family and his 3 year old daughter devastated and broken. I felt like God had abandoned me and though I didn't actively try to take my life, I ignored several severe illnesses to the point that I did MAJOR damage to my body, mind, and spirit. I TOTALLY quit playing piano, going to church and isolated myself from everyone. BUT GOD in His faithfulness reached down and touched me in my brokenness. Though it has continued to be a battle in EVERY aspect of my life, I am leaning on His promises daily. I have I've given birth NATURALLY to 4, (including 1 at home). Raised 6 children while also juggling 2 home businesses and had my kids in EVERY extracurricular activity you can think of (as well as church on Sundays, youth group Wednesdays, camps, etc.). Been room mother COUNTLESS years for each child. I could go on and on. I have had my share of illnesses. Lupus, RA, 2 different types of cancer. But got a RARE illness/ Syndrome called Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome. (Yes, it's as bad as it sounds...probably worse!😭💔Ive been hospitalized 25 times in 5 years from 4-13 days. It's AWFUL. And it takes the prize for being the hands down most unbearable, insidious Syndrome I have ever known...I thought I knew pain. I thought I was tough. HA. I was an IDIOT. I am at my wits end. SERIOUSLY. So discouraged. Worn down. Defeated and lonely. I get why people don't want to keep coming to see me in the hospital, but DAMN....how do I keep going when I feel like I am WORTHLESS. I can barely make it to my kitchen without my wheelchair in most days. I'm a burden on my family and especially my husband. I also got diagnosed last June with an even MORE rare condition called a Dorsal Arachnoid Web. Basically it's a growth on my spinal cord. It wraps around the nerves, veins, and spinal cord itself causing EXCRUCIATING pain and severe weakness in my legs, as well as problems with my bowel and bladder functions. I'm only 51. I'm so weary....please pray for me. I don't know if I should have surgery or not...the neurosurgeon is saying that it won't help ANY of my present symptoms! It will only slow the progression of the disease. I appreciate your music and your prayers. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world!
