Sam Chui needs to be worried. VV is low-key, scary smart, and quite witty. I get tired of Sam being fawned over by airlines sucking up to him. This is a breath of fresh air.
I completely agree with you. I am a big fan of Sam Chui, but I think VV is a worthy competitor, not that it's a competition. I really enjoy VV's humor and thoughtfulness. Sam can be a bit annoying. LOL!
It should be also be noted that what VV does as a side hustle/hobby, he does better than arguably every other creator who wants to make it a full-time job. Not saying subjectively, I just mean objectively the production quality, cinematography, animations and narration are top notch
This fella is WAY better than Sam Chui. This fella should have a TV show. His humour is fantastic. Highly likeable, clearly very intelligent and just great to watch. I wish him the very best.
Sam Chui really enjoys what he does, but a lot of what he does is cringe.

The work you put in these videos is going to be worth the time and effort financially at some point soon. Usually the algorithm starts pushing channels with around 100k subs to more and peoples' recommendations and the growth takes off exponentially from there. You're nearly there, keep up the great work and really interesting stuff. ;)

The Chinese festival you mentioned was 端午节 or the Dragon Boat Festival in English. And by the way today (Thursday June 25) is actually the date for it this year. Happy Dragon Boat Festival and enjoy the 粽子 dumplings!

Hey man! I love your videos. We have a lot of similarities except you are way way more talented than I am. I initially studied aerospace engineering but then transitioned to biomedical engineering, worked in labs doing mostly programming, and then ended up going to med school! It was a great path and I hope you have a great time in med school
U is my new spiritual leader who has given me joy of biblical proportion punctuated with shades, profanities and alcohol. As i have been in lockdown isolation since april 2020, yr channel is not pat robertson, but brings me lotsa enlightenment. Yr divine intervention is 2 minutes away from our weekly AA meetings. And it may not necessarily be using preserved ingredients. Depending on your Chinese dialect group, taste and texture, even shape can be different.

Loved the comment about the white shoes. I too do certain things for a reason which although far from obvious as soon as you explain falls into the 'that makes perfect sense' category.
Although probably not the reason that most people will be asking you for, I actually do have underwear for travelling. But the choice is more to do with the materials used. I don't know about you, but I am the type of person who in a crowd of hundreds a single biting insect will find me! While travelling, I find that my ankles are particularly attacked, and socks with an inbuilt repellant work well for me.
As for the other attributes of the material, easy to wash and quick to dry are up there, and also, some of the more modern fabrics include silver in their blend which is great for maintaining freshness and reducing ’suitcase odour' when returning from a trip.

Just in case it has not been mentioned earlier. The festival you mentioned has a patriotic history (though I’m not from china). Here’s it ...”The Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu Festival, Duānwǔ Jié, Double Fifth, Tuen Ng Jit) is a traditional holiday that commemorates the life and death of the famous Chinese scholar Qu Yuan (Chu Yuan). The festival occurs on the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese lunisolar calendar.” Indeed Chu Yuan was a respectable hero that many already forgot.
What a great guy what a great channel...but I feel the need to say: please stop pitting him and Sam Chui against each other. They are two completely different styles and people. Sam is great at what he does, his success speaks volumes. And VV is equally great in HIS way at what HE does. There is zero need to crap on either of them.
