Gonna echo the comments of last time in voting for the return of the true demon questline to be atleast started. it was one of the only questlines developed with "making main story progress" alongside it in mind, and is in general, just a fan favorite quest!

Also fun fact: Manananggal is a brand new demon introduced in the original version of SMTV. There was a lot of buzz and excitement from the Filipino SMT fans when this one was revealed, because not only is the Manananggal one of the most popular/famous philipinnes mythical creatures, but mythical creatures from that area are largely not represented in the SMT series yet (not majorly anyways) which kinda also made this one even more special for those fans.
To add on to this comment, Mananaggal literally translate to Remover in Tagalog and the root word tanggal means to remove.
A lot of the SMT demons/angels are based on both eastern and western folklore.
Obligatory Return of the True Demon subquest comment
Im gonna recommend "Return of a True Demon" quest line again. It really is best played alongside the story.
…Do you guys not know you can return to old areas (besides “Fake Tokyo” maybe I forget) to face old enemies and continue quest lines. Because you can.
Edit: You can go to “Fake Tokyo” too.
You can go back to fake Tokyo too. There are a few quests hidden there throughout the game.
Really recommending return of a true demon questline.
They will end up being over level if they do it.
Also the Made the 1st boss harder he can insta kill you if he hits weakness or cirt

Just gonna add to the choir and say you really should get started on the True Demon questline. It was made to be done in tandem with the main story, and portions of it were built for specific levels. The first bit of the quest is actually around level 17, so you're already severly overleveled for it.
No it's not I did it on the base game if you do the quest you get over levled

That stone statue you couldn't remember is a Hecatonchires (sp?). It literally translates to "hundred handed" and was one of the elder siblings of the Titans.
I'm happy you spare the King. I never have it in myself to kill him. Also, you've unlocked King Frost in special fusion. You can fuse him at level 33.
the little agathion you met is new for the rerelease same with the ippon dattara you met earlier and while the mermaids story line isnt new her becoming a navigator is, in the original there were very few navigator demons mainly just amanozako and one other per zone meaning at this point of the game you would have no navigator for quite some time. im very glad they added a bunch and made them more important by having the hidden rails mechanic

Not sure if Taito is still part of the new story, I only watched the original SMT5 and I'm seeing what's new mostly with your playthrough, so I'm fine namedropping it because there's a chance you may not even get to hear that theme, and if it _is_ still there, you'll hear it later anyway (I hope you do).
Gotta say one thing to Evan, though: For how much you love Metal Gear, it's a little surprising _Revengeance_ hasn't come up (yet?) for one of the episode intros
I wonder if Evan even remembers he has Ice Dampeners. They're so useful in fights where you know what elements the enemy is going to use. (To be fair, people argue that the dampeners make the game too easy)
