Lovely winter hiking video! Great weather ( apart from the temperature). If you are taking ideas for the return of your game I'd say use some spaces for hostels in NH. Gives them a little free advertising. I don't know if you know it but there's a mother/daughter team hiking this year (wildflower adventures). They're starting again after stopping in '24 and they're going to be raising money to help with recovery from the hurricane. Thanks again for all you're doing!
Love how you practiced what you preach by putting “Safety First” with deciding NOT to climb the icy Fire Tower stairs. That was an excellent lesson esp. as it occurred in real time. Also great to see how super happy you were in this video. Believe me when I tell you those few short minutes of Hiker, Gift Shop, and Baby Bliss were just the break I needed from all the horrific current events. I live in LA and altho’ I suffered minimal damage during the horrific winds & wildfire events, I have friends who lost everything. I had just been hiking down at Point Dume in Malibu and had driven home through Pacific Palisades 1 week before it was wiped off the map. Also, Eaton Canyon Nature Preserve was a favorite Hike for both my son and I, and it, too, was obliterated along with the entire adjacent town of Altadena. So, altho’ my losses (property damage from winds) are nothing compared to those who lost lives, homes, and businesses, my Hiker Heart has been deeply hurt. This is my home and I love it here. Imagine watching your community go up in smoke. The past month has been a nightmare. Your videos, which I have loved for 2 years now, have been esp. poignant during these devastating times for us out West. So, thank you, Taylor, for always giving us something to smile about. 🥾🎒👶
11:55 or so… baby fingers! 🫰🏻☺️🥰
Thanks for your life’s update. Bravo to your happiness and success. Wishing you peace and good fortune. Happy Trails!
Always great to see a Taylor hiking video. Thanks for the update and happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️
🥶 Goodness, feels like 6 below! Bravo to you on that frigid 4.5 miler! 👏 That's brutal on the lungs. There were wind chills of 65 below on Washington this morning. 😮 Like your description of car seat warmers...butt warmers! 😂 I couldn't do Maine winters without 'em. ✌️
As soon as I saw that travel tripod, I clicked on the link to Amazon and put it on my wishlist. Once the video got about to 6:30, I was thinking, "Yeaaah, maybe not!" 🤣
Haha yeahhh it's good sometimes, but not sturdy when the grounds uneven
We used to go ice fishing in double digit below zero F when I lived in Maine. The sound of the snow underfoot changes quite dramatically at those temperatures.
Just got home from hiking out front in the snow. The days are slowly getting longer, even though it was 4 degrees there was not a cloud in the sky it felt good to hike in the sun after 3 weeks of clouds.
Great, now my hike game is a classic!!!
Thanks for the video Taylor, I love that route, haven’t done in winter but one of my favorite routes is to go up piper from lower carriage over to gunstock, then to Belknap, and then back to gunstock, and descent down green winter shortcut to orange and back to the parking lot. Sorry you broke your phone!!
Love the survivor buff!
Thanks for getting out in the cold!
I thruhiked the Appalachian Trail last year. So not the kind of thruhiker you are probably looking for.... but I love chatting with others about the thruhike and reliving it!! My goal is to come back to the Whites and do a bunch more 4K footers in June.
Firetowers rock!
Thank you Taylor 👍🏻 Appreciate you always my friend 🙏🏻 God Bless
I just moved to Claremont NH. Looking forward to the hiking up here.
Love you videos in Tennessee
That was fun to watch. I walk to work in - 6 last week here in Kansas City. It's was so cold ha it was a two mile walk. I was wearing my artic coat tated 25 below. Heat boots gloves rated 25 below. Ski mask. It's fun actually.
Pretty cool you have the katahdin sign
Nice to see you out on trail Taylor. Too cold for me!
Nice job. 👍✌
That hat looked ao cozy! What is it?
Your baby is ready to go hike!
Wow look at the 48 by 4 Whitney Pearson she had her toddlers do them all by age 4! A challenge!
I was psyched to send Hikopoly to one of my friends. She moved from NH to Alaska, so it was nice to give her a piece of home.
thank you Taylor ❤❤❤
Thank you for the video. Good content. Waiting for the next fire tower.
Nice video, thanks for sharing your day!
Fun video. Thank you so much.
I am fiddling "Swinging on a Gate" on my Strad.
In your shop you were sitting in front of the Katahdin sign. Can you tell me where you got that? Is this something you sell at your shop? Thanks,
“No tripods were harmed during this video!” But one was hurled a few hundred feet into the woods 🤣
Great video. Thank you!💜
Maybe I'm an old fart, but I'd be wearing insulated winter hiking boots. Love your videos. Thanks!
Taylor ❤
Good Thursday afternoon... How is your gear room coming along ??? I still believe 2025 is my Appalachian Trail year.
R u serious? Do you do RUclips??
RIP phone 😦 I haven't hiked since I did Tecumseh on New Years eve, waiting for my GF to heal from an injury before doing more hiking. These look like nice hikes to the fire towers, though! Definitely going to add those to the list. Also it looked like you were wearing trail runners if I am not mistaken? Do you typically use those over a more robust boots? Interested to know if and when you decide to use shorter ankle shoes over higher ankle covering boots.
Great video.
About to start the AT NOBO. Can I ask which Garmin in reach plan you chose to use?
I know you are looking for an In Reach response, but my Zoleo helped me while descending Katahdin on the Abol Trail. I took the wrong turn and ended up on the Abol winter trail. My GPS was not working well. I felt lost after coming to the end of the winter trail. I saw only a wall of trees with no path. Not a great feeling. Fortunately, I was able to get in touch with the Baxter State Park Rangers with my Zoleo. In short, a Baxter Park Ranger came to help guide me to the Abol actual trail. Cheers to that nice Ranger and my Zoleo. Happy Trails!
Beautiful hike! Too cold for me, though. I’d love to see you interview @madisonblagden. She’s attempting a record breaking hike this year! She’ll be on the AT soon.
Very nice 👍
Yay!
Will you offer the game first to those on the waiting list?
I wanna be interviewed by Taylor but...... I don't hike! ☹️
