Hey ! I was at that " ceremony " as Heilung like to call their show. There is truly nothing like it, words don't do it justice. So glad you appreciate their brilliance as I do .
Thanks for the reaction to the live version. They announced tour dates in Central Europe very recently. Will see them live in next year hopefully, can't wait.
The high pitched singing in the midpoint of the song is what is called Kulning which is an ancient herding call that was done by Nordic/Scandinavian women calling in the herds of cows and sheep and other livestock from distances to come in.
I relate to what you said about sort of dissapear in the music (or was it how I felt..) As Im sure you know, Heilung means healing in (old?) german. Anyway, I was Fucked up menally a few years back. Said yes to put myself in an institution for a few months. It was pretty pathetic, but I could go home in the weekends, and then I took a good , long, walk in the dark - listening to Lifa (their first live album) and myself. That saved me, Heilung saved me. If it wasn't for them and their music and the healing within I wouldnt be here. I met them, and told how much theyve helped me, and while I feel they listened and understood, it felt like this was something that happened all the time. And that's awesome! Healing/Heilung
That horizontal string instrument is an old Scandinavian instrument called a tagalharpa, made out of wood and horse mane. Loved the reaction! Subscribed
@@xsezz If you're curious about the instrument, check out www.youtube.com/@ebanisteria.musicale She has some awesome covers of The Witcher and and even one of Heilung. 😀 edit: I just realized they have a second channel with more videos: www.youtube.com/@atergolupi

Awesome! :D
The three main members, Kai, Maria and Chris, and the drummers are the same, and they added three backup singers after the Castlefest ritual
Understood. Thank you.
