David W. Floren Haydn composed this around the same time as he did Creation....Mozart never got a chance to hear either as he would have as they were played in Vienna. Beethoven on the other hand...
I'm not gonna make all state choir I'm only a freshman but singing is my passion and I especially love this song it's so powerful unlike most of the other songs
Don't count yourself out, I've known a few freshmen who've made it, you just need to really dedicate yourself, especially sight reading, a good score in sight reading took me from 6th to 2nd chair
Love sightreading, used to hate it last year, when my horrible sightreading prevented me from going to Area. I'm a Sophomore now and fortunately, my sightreading is great (still working on accidentals and such).
