6:16 I've stayed in that hotel and there's another hidden ThyssenKrupp lift in the main part which you missed in that hotel that goes all the way to the roof, which is publicly accessible.
I think the lifts here were originally installed by a company called Boetticher, who Thyssen acquired in the 1980s and they've since been modernised by ThyssenKrupp. I saw a sign which referred to Boetticher next to one of the motor rooms.
Those buildings are a typical example of meditiranian construction. It’s very artisan and labour intensive with all those beam and block floors. Labor is cheap in those regions. You’ll often see that they use frames with columns and beams with blockwork infill. This sort of construction approach is common in earthquake sensitive regions. It looks rough but with a bit of plasterwork it looks fancy. Still prefer this 10x more over timber framing with cheap gypsum boards that look like cardboard.

By the looks of that OTIS 2000E it has the OTIS 2000 cab and buttons but Europa motor and logic? Or is the logic OTIS 2000 as well?
Kone sells KSS470 fixtures till today, it's just your choice what fixtures you want to use in your place

Beno, I jut came back from Tenerife and the hotel I stppped in had Otis 2000s in. From 2002
I went in almost every hotel, so I probably went in it
Beno it was in Puerto De La Cruz at the north of the island
I didn't go to the north as it didn't look as good as the south.

@@numbersstationsarchive194 My main interest is the resort hotels. The south has areas of miles and miles of non stop resorts. I didn't see anywhere near as many in the North.

Just looked it up on maps. I think we skipped that one as it looked too boring. We did the hotel next door with the slightly odd architecture and old Orona lifts
