Blows away all the other Great Wall videos on youtube. Great narration, amazing score, beautiful camerawork, incredibly informative and the narrator talks to us like we're adults.
At first, I thought this video was not very good, but I decided to persevere, and I am glad that I did continue watching. The scenery is awe inspiring and the narrator is one of the best that I have heard in a long time; it is amazing to hear how he subtly uses his voice.
We have been to The Great Wall in China around 1998 also included Beijing Shangrila Shanghai,Kufu home of Confucius then to Hainan Island then to Hawaii back to San Francisco,Oakland and then home to San Leandro.
The Ming Wall reaches Jiayuguan. The Han Wall goes further west, beyond Dunhuang. I expected that it would have been included. In addition, I think you should have included the names of the various impressive sights in Inner Mongolia. It does not suffice to show us a general map with red dots and tell us how far each place is from Beijing.
it's not hard to find a tour guide who will take you to a part of the wall that is not open to the public. I spent the night on the wall using this kind of guide.
The Xiongnu and Tocharians, who originated in Central Asia (not Europe), were the reason for the earliest walls being built, but during the dynasty, it was the Mongols who were the main threat. The Ming took ousted the Yuan Dynasty, which was Mongolian, who naturally wanted their empire back. And the Ching dynasty, which replaced the Ming, were Manchurian, also from north of the wall.
@@jeraldbaxter3532 central asia yes but theyr were europoids, meaning europeans outside of what currently is called europe today. Every source says this. Look at the tapestries and cave paintings.
Doesnt make sense why they built portions of the wall in areas where it was so steep there would be zero chance of an army traversing the cliffs anyways. Kinda a waste of time

Awesome. Really enjoyed that.
We visited the wall near Beijing, which was impressive, but there is so much more.
I’ve always wanted to walk the Great Wall but good luck doing anything cool without thousands of people being in the way taking selfies

Chinggis Khaan: thats a funny wall you have, mind if I walk around it😂
That sounds a bit naive. What time period was it then and what time period is it now
Genghis khan didn't walk around the graet wall he passed through it in juyong guan pass
Krasny dokument
The backgmflm 😊est east killankilla. How do you make them feal...
5,000 miles, twice the width of the USA...not counting Alaska?
The west puts too much attention on this but I hardly see anyone mention it in China.
That's because if the communists don't see much propaganda value in it they just ignore it.
The narrator sounds like James May with a runny nose
The wall doesn't define China. It wasn't built out of pride, but of necessity.
A bit misleading to call the invaders Mongols when they were in fact Xiongu and Tocharian tribes which were Europeans in apearance.
@jonkoenig2478 keep dreaming, freak
