Nice one Ken. thats my route review done. Hasnt changed much at all really since i last drove along there in 1990! Shame the goods lines and the independant have gone from Whitehouse through to Beam Mill Jcn through South Bank. Looking at all the places along the Stili, Bishop Middleham, redmarshall, Sedgefield station, Stillington to Norton Sth and the just closed Norton boxes, West, East South and Station, past my house, the old route round north shore into stockton, tees bridge sidings / south stockton goods, whats left of tees yard through the boro, the soon to be gone whitehouse, chicago fleet, south bank.... seen a few changes over the years havnt we? PC.
Ray Evans I noticed it too. Here is North America we have mechanisms that will let the points be trailed through. They will be held in that position. I was also wondering if there are spring points in the UK.
Is it me, or did you pass that first point while it was thrown in the other direction? Seemed like the point blades were in the wrong position for you to enter but you didn't derail so my bottom would have been clenched tight..
Excellent...!!!. ~ What is this this place @ Redcar actually..?? as it seems a right weird place indeed..with some very interesting & strange Trackside things..and scenery etc...from about 48:45 onwards..up until the end of the journey. very interesting indeed..!!!.

@50:21 approximately - that's what is now left of Grangetown station - where I was born and brought up!
Nice work capturing the cooling fans working at full speed from 45:50!
Brilliant video. Well played
you can see at times the stumps where the old electrification masts were from the Clarence scheme
Worked here at Ferryhill as a Chargeman in the 70s/80s busy place then.
Worked at Ferryhill 12 Years, still waiting for a cab ride on the Stillington branch.
Ferryhill ought to have it's own station again
Yes it is a heavy freight. Limestone for Redcar Blast Furnace.
Good job the train was travelling fairly slowly given the first set of points were set for the other track.

What was that bird at 6.55 a pheasant?
Yes a pheasant. Approaching sedgefield station. They are the most stupid of birds.
Why go through Thronaby yard and not stick to the main line?
We are a freight train and a Passenger will be booked to pass.
Interesting that on the day of filming there is no AWS/TPWS on the Tees Yard signals..
Correct. Not only on this day but every day. These are goods lines and are not provided with it.
18.53 something crosses....
Hi Kenny, nice film, how long did it take you to upload onto You Tube ?????
Is it me, or did you pass that first point while it was thrown in the other direction?

Sam Eaton Trailing set and probably spring loaded so as the wheelset moved onto the switch blade it moves.
