I LOVED Star Tropics when I was little. I definitely did not catch all of the weirdness back then though. I just thought it was fun doing the dungeons and sailing the ship around

6th grade Spring 1991 when this was new I rented it and i remember i was home sick from school and i got to the part with the password and you need to dip the instruction booklet page into water for the hidden code to appear
But rental didnt have the instructions. So mom called the mom and pop video store and talked to the lady and handed me the phone and i told her the situation. She said she'd check with her sister who was at their other location.
Like and hour later she called back and was like "ok we did it". And read me everything on the page and was like "is that helpful?" And i said yes and thank you.
