Noris Alvarez Eddie guerro actually did not die of a heart attack and Owen heart died of a fall when he was getting lowered and Eddie guerro died in a hotel he did not die on the wwe stage because I think he had heart failure
A lot of these wrestlers I used to watch when I was a kid. Roddy Piper, Earthquake, "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert, Eddie Guerrero, etc. I miss watching these guys and the more wrestlers that die, the more my childhood dies with them. 😔 Rest In Paradise to all of them.

To me the saddest one in the video is David Von Erich. No just because he died young, and from something that could easily been prevented. But because it started a chain of events in his family that led to three of his younger brothers (also wrestlers) committing suicide.

Actually, Crash Holly's death was a suicide by drug overdose. There are like 10 people on your list that committed suicide on different ways including: Eddie Graham Mike Von Erich Kerry Von Erich The Renegade Crash Holly Mike Awesome Chris Benoit Ludvig Borga Chris Kanyon Sean O'Haire
Apparently, "Macho Man" died of a sudden heart attack while behind the wheel of his Jeep Cherokee. The accident happened because the jeep started veering, and his wife grabbed the wheel to drive it off the road, and into a tree, instead of the oncoming lane of a major highway, where the jeep was veering. Also, I read that Savage's heart attack was due to an aortic dissection, the same thing that killed actor John Ritter.

...or damage to major organs caused by drugs, which then makes them more prone to infection and other causes of death, because the body can't "protect" them like it is supposed to.
a quick update for this video. Balls Mahoney was recently posthumously diagnosed with CTE. It's pretty common in contact sports, multiple blows to the head leading to trauma. It can add up overtime. It's not official as of now, though.
@reformed rex no doubt since alot of chair shots to head in old heyman ecw also wwe. since balls was hardcore wrestler in old ecw also wwe new ecw also indies. so no suprise with balls mahoney who took alot chair shots to head alot of trauma in old ecw.
That was totally unexpected! 39 out of 100 wrestlers died of heart problems. I would've assumed that their extreme muscle building programs would've given them super strong hearts.
Huge muscles & healthy hearts are independent of each other. And for some (if not many) of these wrestlers, their muscle size was enhanced by the use of steroids, which simultaneously weaken the heart, and contributed to their early demise. Really sad.
May they all Rest in Peace! So tragic! The one that broke my heart was Chyna, she died a week after my birthday. May they all be resting in Peace in God's loving arms!
Crazy how more people have died young (under 80) from pro wrestling than they have via MMA. Fake fighting seems to be more dangerous than the real thing. Or we could just put it down to steroids and CONSTANTLY performing (always exhausted, wear and tear, etc. whereas MMA fighters fight 2-3x a year)
@ronki23 plus the travel days on road especially in wwe on road near 300 days a yr. ufc fighters don't travel that much compare to wrestlers and divas in wwe. That is why so many wrestlers left wwe for wcw in 90's lighter travel. same goes for tna wrestling u see alot ex wwe stars who left wwe for impact wrestling because of travel. Travel also bumps in ring takes it toll on these wrestlers bodies.
I remember Jim hellwig(ultimate warrior) saying in an interview he only started taking steroids when he started wrestling because of the punishing schedule of travelling from big arena to big arena, not wanting to let the paying fans down and needing the roids to repair the muscles fast from all the pulls ,wear and tear. Yes it’s choreographed but accidents and mistakes happen a lot. Say what you like about the warrior as a person but he dedicated his life to his young fans more than most . In the gym in the middle of the night, taking hours to get the hair and make up done ,hours to get pumped up and into character and for what? To be struggling for breath In his later years and dying young... shame but maybe that’s the way they ALL wanted it
It’s exhaustion. A UFC fighter gets an automatic 7 day suspension after a match. Jake the Snake Roberts did an interview with Joe Rogan last month, where he said he wrestled Ricky Steamboat 93 nights straight.
A testament to what excesses and over pushing the human body can do to the body. The true and grim truth of what the wrestling business can push people to do.
moondog Spot is on the list, but Moondog Spike is missing. Spike was my friend Bill Smithson. He died about 10 years ago of renal failure. Owned a garage in Madison,TN and collected street rods and antique Harleys.

May they all Rest in Peace! So tragic! The one that broke my heart was Chyna, she died a week after my birthday. May they all be resting in Peace in God's loving arms!
If one kills themselves then they dont see God
I miss Eddie Guerrero so much that I feel bad for Rey mysireyo and this is heartbroken
Rick rude died on the day of columbine
Same with both Owen Hart & Gorilla Monsoon of 1999.
