Thank you sir. No bombastic editing, no complex vocabulary. Just explaining things in very simple language with calming tone. Your explanation is really soothing 😌
🙂🙏🙏🙏
just that... set video speed to 1.10 @@bigbearbangalore
True
Acceleration is indeed the biggest culprit but it's also the surge in power and rpm that actually provides the fun element.
Yes
that is the main reason we love to push it hard.
Thts not a problem if u wanna feel’s something amazing it cost something
There is no other 'culprit' here than you. Stop snapping the throttle and start feathering it like the uncle you wanna become.
Great Points, thank you - Some other items 1. Clean spark plug with proper gap adjustment 2. Replace normal spark plugs every 10000 kms or as per recommendation, If it is iridium tipped it can last for much longer time and produce better sparks 3. Proper Chain slack adjustment and cleaning and lubrication frequently. Tight chain can cause friction and very loose chain comes with risk of it coming out 4. Understanding torque delivery, Riding at RPMs higher than the RPM at which peak torque is produced leads to less mileage. Hard revving beyond this peak torque RPM leads to making more sound and higher fuel consumption. If a motorcycle makes max torque at 7000rpm, pushing it beyond this results in higher fuel consumption and is pointless. 5. Riding at higher speed leads to increased fuel consumption due to wind drag. This will be more with naked bikes 6. Using synthetic oil helps with reduced carbon deposit in engine leading to better and efficient operation for longer time. Frequently checking oil level and topping up if needed 7. Check if wheels are rotating freely, at times brake pads if not maintained well might be rubbing against disks. 8. Coolant - If green coolant is used (Inorganic Acid tech.) better to drain it off and fill the radiator with fresh coolant once every 3 years or as recommended by manufacturer. Organic and Hybrid Organic Acid Tech based coolants come with higher replacement intervals. 9. Higher Octane fuel does not help with improving mileage or power. It is required to be filled for engines that come with high compression ratio or unless mentioned by manufacturer, typically more than 11:1 ratio and is designed only to avoid petrol pre-detonation. Otherwise it is just waste of money. Please fill good fuel from a reputed fuel pump. 10. If you love to ride at high RPMs please go for bikes with engines that make power/torque at higher RPMs (example: KTM duke etc.). if you prefer sedate/relaxed riding at low and mid range RPMs at sane speeds it would be better to go for bikes that make good torque early in RPM range like Honda Highness, Enfield vehicles etc. Generally Oversquare engines (Bore larger than Stroke) with 4 valves are good for higher RPM riding while the Square Engines (Bore and Stroke equal) are good for Mid Range and Under Square Engines (Bore smaller than Stroke) are good for Low to Mid range RPMs. Most commuter bikes come with Square engines (FZ, Pulsar etc.) while Honda Highness, Enfield families mostly come with Under square engines.
👍👍👍
Great insights thankyou 😊
Thank you for copy pasting.
Check if wheels are square. You have no clue. KTM Duke is a single, low rev torque curve. Yes, fuel makes a difference because you get poorer fuel economy with ethanol additive fuels.
Way to summarize internet BS, but you didn't even mention cleaning the air filter or proper tire pressure.
Just shift sooner and keeps revs low, it not rocket appliances.
Sir I recently got recomendation in reels about your channel and since then I am a fan. I never seen anyone in Indian community who shows reality of motorcycle industry. Keep it up sir great work
Thank you. 🙏
pretty much every points covered, kudos🙌
🙏
Very useful… this definitely adds to make biking skilful…
Yes it does!
Thanks, very useful info 🎉
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for your tips
Always welcome
Thanks for the good tips
very practical informations
Glad it was helpful!
Loved this simplicity
🙏
All are good points 👍
🙏
Very useful indeed! 🙂
🙏
Very helpful videos Sir ❤Always
👍
👌Wonderful information,thq sir
🙏
Always try to utilize the momentum of bike while riding, overtaking..no sudden breaks no sudden acceleration.. This is what I have learned from my personal experience.
👍
Simple, Practical & Useful 😍
Glad you think so!
Very helpful 👍🏻
Glad you think so!
True that 👍 chain slack and tyre pressure affects fuel, Acceleration, Speed most overlooked !!! On side note back then it was much easier to squeeze a little bit extra mileage with just a flat head screwdriver... 😂
Yes, true
that's called a quality content
🙏
That legendary 'Hello'
👋
Thank you sir.
Most welcome
Wow very well explained ...
Glad you liked it
Lucid presentation sir..so nice of you..wish to listen you continuously..

Experience is the Best Teacher.
While riding many Riders think they are on A Race track & not on a Trek.
Ride like it's a T20 match while it's actually a Test Match. 🙂
Great video as always, sir. Could you please post a video on Carburettor maintenance and tuning for optimum power and efficiency?
Thank you.
We will try.
Fuel injection is the solution.
Good content 👌 super
Thank you so much 👍
Big fan sir..
🙏
And if you ride to new places far away from your city and fill up from unknown petrol pumps checking your fuel tank for water is also recommended I've had quite a few instances and riding with a gentle throttle really helps if you are looking for mileage✊
👍👍👍
Thanks for sharing these😅
Glad you like them!
Also adding a water and grime filter in the fuel tank is beneficial. I use guglatech filter on my baby GS
👍
THANKS🥰
You’re welcome
Hats off sir
🙏
I am just curious what you don't know about bikes😂
Such valuable information 🙏
🙂 I have much to learn still. Hopentonget better. Thanks.
Thank you Sir for this informative video. Great insights. One quick question for point related to vapour losses. For my daily commute I only get 500 Rs worth of petrol filled every 15 days which is less than 50% of tank capacity (Honda Unicorn 13 L tank). Considering this scenario, will vapour losses would outdo the mileage benifit gained from less fuel weight?
Vapour loss is quite minimal and hardly measurable on its own.
Great advice! How do we check the state of the coolants?
I think there is no real checking. Just change as per owners manual.
Very informative , I learned few things today👍
But time for us Indians to differentiate fuel efficiency and mileage. Stop saying mileage for fuel efficiency.😊
We are Indians! 🙏🙂
Higher mileage also indicates a healthier engine. So including mileage increasing tactics in riding ensures longer engine life.
👍
Hi from Australia. Thank you for your coveraged of the new 452 at EICMA. Subscribed :)
Yes tyre pressures are crucial. I pump mine up to max indicated on the side of the tyre. It helps a great deal. Even more so is speed 60km/h is ideal. As you double your speed you quadruple your drag from the air.
Also on my Himalayan I found the rear brake was dragging slightly. Some oil on the calipre slides fixed this.
Thanks for the info! Cheers!
👍👍👍. .
👍
Thank you for sharing these valuable tips sir. On a lighter note (though is true to some extent), loose some of one's weight, it will also help in fuel economy. 😀
Great tip!
Hi Mr.Bosky… I’m Surya, 43yrs and have started riding CB350RS recently. I came across your videos and have started watching all your video’s. I’m a Teacher Trainer by profession. I have started sharing your videos to many teacher’s across the country and have asked them to observe the way you speak. I really appreciate you for the following:
1. You’re very confident in your subject
2. There’s a lot of clarity in your speech
3. You’re pronouncing each and every word clearly
4. Your speech is very precise and to the point
5. Above all it’s never boring… I watch it again and again.
I personally feel, This is how every teacher should speak in a class.
I really appreciate your efforts. Keep posting lots of videos…🎉
That's too high a praise. Very kind of you. Many thanks. Regards.
If I can keep all these in mind and follow. I will be at somewhere else by now.
Yes! Just imagine if you could have.
speed is the biggest enemy of mileage, for my xpulse riding on highways, if I ride under 70kmph, i get around 40kmpl, but over that , for every 10kmph i increase , i lose mileage of around 2 to 3 kmpl... great video btw cheers
Thanks for sharing. 🙏

Oooh man , I saw you saying that you have tinnitus. You are not alone 😂. I have too. It started when I hit my 45th year. Now I’m 51. I ride Harley street glide. Always wear earplugs.
Oh wow! Sorry to hear. Take care.
1/3 people over 50 have tinnitus.
Sir please start a weekly podcast talking about such subjects.
Will check on this possibility. Thanks.
Hey Bosky.... Very informative and picture perfect video as always... Just a query... How can I check if chain of my bike is having slag or is tight? Is there any simple method to identify?
Thanks. Check owners manual for details on chain slack.
Also
Account for traffic jams slow burns, cold start etc.
Yes
Hello! Thanks for the very informative video. Does rev marching/engine breaking reduce fuel economy?
Nothing one would notice.
🙏 please make video on chain maintenance
I have made one and it's available in my Insta page.
Xlnt Explanation
🙏👍
Hi Sir,
Is it possible to switch the gear shifter and brake to the opposite side on any bike? In other words, gear shifter will be on the right side & the rear brake pedal will be on the left.
Anything is possible but not realistic.
Bro can you suggest a good and compact top box for Himalayan 411 for daily usage
Check on SHAD
I hv bmw g310gs (brand new) recently i made a trip from lko to agra n back via expressway.. i maintained around 80kph avg speed and bike gave me mileage of around 39kmpl. NOTE:- 1ST service is still due.
Well done.
Please tell when to change engine oil if it's full synthetic?
On the basis of kms or if not exceeded kms then how many months?
I ride less and currently using 7100 10w40 in Gixxer 155. Would happy to hear from you❤
Oil change intervals remains same as per owners manual even if using fully synthetic oil.
@@bigbearbangalore okay thanks
@bigbearbangalore, sir, you missed one of the main points. Changing the oil filter without hesitation at every oil change interval and proper chain adjustment every 500kms before lubing the chain.
👍
Modern o ring chains do not need adjustment that frequently.
Hi Sir, could you explain how more load put on alternator when more electrical items are added on the bike?
The earlier motorcycles were consuming power for the headlights and other electrical items directly from alternator however nowadays almost all the manufacturer started providing the power to electrical items from the battery and alternator provides the power to charge the battery and the load on alternator would be constant. (This is my understanding).
The more the power draw fron rhe battery, the rectifier accordingly draws more from the alternator.
Sir does the quality of fuel matters here.. I mean if we consider Speed fuel or Normal lead fuel, does that matters in mileage..Your views...Do you think petrol pumps temper the fuel output.. Is it pssble to do these days...
Personally I do not buy and use any premium fuel, not do I visit the Shell bunk. I use regular petrol. The benefits of paying extra for premium fuel not worth the extra cost.
i got 39kmpl on the way back to mysuru to madikeri with heavy traffic on KTM adventure
after changing spark plug mileage increased .
👍
Acceleration... Yes that's why when you are on the highway, you get better fuel efficiency but when you are in the city the mileage drops UpTo 5-8 kmpl.
Yes it can.
Besides maintenance Mostly depends upon ur driving habits, best way is to use the kinetic energy
👍
I bet the brakes on your ride(s) are still OEM.
Question:
1) Is it normal that my chain keeps making kat kat kat sound just after 2 days of cleaning and oiling? The company service center says keep lubricating, I mean but almost every 2 days ?
Not normal. Worn chain?
Thank you, does having changed a exhaust drop mileage?
Yes it can. The motorcycle mileage becomes more sensitive to riding style with an aftermarket exhaust.
@@bigbearbangaloreplease don't answer questions when you have no idea. Aftermarket exhausts typically run leaner, use less fuel, and give less power unless the intake is tuned, where they then use more fuel.
Super 👌🏻 very informative ❤
Can you please tell for how many km do we need to change engine oil for gt 650
For 1,2,3 services they changed for 5000 and when I went for 4th service they are saying it should be changed to 10k km
By seeing the instructions from there systems in service station
I searched to my best but not satisfied with the answers I got
So please sir please tell me after how many km do I need to change engine oil
Company recommended is 10,000 kms or 1 year. I suggest 7,500 kms or one year.
Please provide some tips or a small clip to adjust perfect clutch position
@muralidevabathini7241 will check on this. And this setting should be there in the owners manual.
Using a OEM liquid gun engine oil is giving me 31.6 in city, if i switch to a fully synthetic oil, will the mileage increase?
Mileage unlikely to change.
Hi Sir. How do you clean chain, because I've tried cleaning my chain myself and I'm not able to clean it properly. Tips on chain cleaning please
There are several good videos on that online and I've posted a couple on my Insta. Please check when you can.
What if we replace hunter retro front 17 inch wheel with scram front 19 inch wheel
Possoble. The Hunter has got great balance and this might alter the balance and make it not so fun and easy.
an easy way to find true milage if you cant get to the same bunk again, fill the tank to full, mark the gps location in your phone, ride till tank near empty, fill to full again. turn on the map and calculate how much distance you covered divided by fuel consumed.
Ok
Once fuel is filled can make trip meter to zero later ride 150+kms and refill again now calculate trip meter reading by liters of fuel u got
Please share care and increase average for Royal Enfield Classic 350cc
Will check.
and also save environment
👍
sometimes air will help to full the tank.....pls check that also 🤗
Wow! Lemme try that. Thanks or this tip. Cheers!
You mentioned that it's recommended to maintain 70% fuel level to minimise vapour loss. Could you please elaborate on that?
More vacant space in tank more room for evaporation. Less room, less volume will evaporate.
@@bigbearbangalorethat's not even chemically correct. All tanks are vented, evaporation is a function of air temperature. In a country like India, covering the tank when parked will prevent evaporation.
I strictly follow all of this in my 2010 honda and I get 62 mileage . Which is very near to company said mileage . But sir I have question if we make tank empty does that effect fuel.pump because for carburettor we don't see that but what happen in the injector type recent engines .
Great mileage.
It's recommended to not run the fuel pump dry.
About air filters, in the BMC air filters video the guy said cleaning paper air filters ruin them, so is it enough to clean them in 5k km or just replace them?
Am not sure thst was said. Paper elements to be blown clean with compressed air every 5,000kms and replace every 10,000 kms.
BMC, clean with water and detergent and to be oiled every 5,000 kms.
@@bigbearbangalore Oh my bad, thanks for the advice doc! love ur vids
@@bigbearbangalorewrong again. Compressed air will damage any paper filter.
Never ever go too slow in top gear.
We can squeze a a little bit more mileage but the money saved in doing so will go in buying a new cylinder kit sooner
Ok
The original headlight of Meteor 350 is not very bright..what do you suggest to have a bright headlight ?
LED bulb perhaps.
One definite way to do it is by keeping that 2 kilos of charbi at home which you get when you buy a two wheeler. Believe me it has got some weight.
Ah! OK.
Which type of helmet is the best for bike??
The one that fits well and is ECE or DOT certified.
Hi Sir, what are your thoughts on Shell petrol? Does the premium price paid translate to actual value, either in terms of mileage or engine life? I feel the ride to be a little smoother. Not sure if it’s placebo :-)
I don't use premium petrol. Always regular.
Depends if it has E10 or E15 ethanol added. Ethanol fuels reduce fuel efficiency. Otherwise, most fuels come from the same refinery.
My xpulse 4v is providing a mileage of 35kmpl, its still a new unit, ran 3000km in total, is it normal or should it be more efficient?
Mileage depends on many factors.... too many variable in play.
Do the bikes with slipper clutch give less mileage or something like that?😅
No, does not change.
Valve setting sounds like technical work which i cant do my self i guess. Any suggestions on this how to self do this ?
Can be done by those who are technically inclined.
Hey @bigbearbangkore,
My KTM 250 Adv completed 4200 kms till now. I will want to ask you should I take 3rd last free service now or not?
Last 2nd service I took at 2500 kms 3 months back and now my bike completing 1 year on 5 December... Please help me
Follow as per owners manual.
i use most of them and get mileage of around 45 in city and 52 on highway...my bike is honda 2103 model and still works except the tank .... and i request to make videos about it please... idk where to ask for it.
👍
Wow man from the future !
Dose raider weight, will bring changes in fuel economy?
Less weight = better fuel economy
Hello,a gt650 and i ride twice or thrice a week, how much days will it last for a full tank....?
Not sure. Unable to state anything on this, sorry.
Too little input parameters: how much distance do you cover, how are you with the throttle, where do you ride ( city, highway, hills, country roads) with pillon without pillon, tyre pressure and much more without these it's hard to even give a estimate based on mileage got by other gt650 owners
@mysteriousmystic3350 yes and how to improve mileage from what one is already getting right now is my input. Road conditions, load conditions and route being generally the same. Thanks.
Hello, is there a back rest available for RIDER seat for Pulsar?? Tried many sites no luck
Not that I know of.
Hello Saar, Namaskar
Hengiddiri,
Please give some instructions on how to maintain a scooter, including how to check the oil, determine which parts require replacement, and replace any that are needed during a service.
A top-notch service and repair facility would have to give way.
If at all possible, please modify the original part for the duplicate part, especially for Suzuki Access riders, since section 01 is the scooter section.
If a scooter service lies about a part needing to be replaced, we will have no idea and will simply say replace it. We will not know whether he is lying or not and will simply say yes replace it. Please help us on simple steps to know what is reality.

Let me check on this possibility of the video. Thanks.
Sir, what is the correct tyre pressure for interceptor 650 with stock wheels and with tube tyres?
Don't recall. Check owners manual.
Sir why dpnt u google such Trivial Questions ?
@@nikhilarolla7643 I will ignore your comment/question.
@@Taanayaana1981ok, correct pressure is 200psi, good luck
Sir, you forgot to say about correct Idling settings, chain tension and filling up fuel in early morning because it's denser.
Ok I didn't.
I add Nano ceramic lubricant in engine oil.
Oook.
#ask sir. Need your opinion.
I am 165cm . Love honda been driving unicorn for 16 year. Thinking to get next bike. Which one would you suggest. Need comfort as i drive to work
Plenty of choices. If you could shortlist say 3, I can share what I know on this. Thanks.
@@bigbearbangalore Thank you so much for responding. Its an honour.
if i had to pick 3 .. I would go for (not in any order )
1, Harley davidson x440.. Saw your video as well on this.
2, Honda CB 350 RS/H’ness CB350
3, Royal Enfield - (Hunter 350 or Meteor 350)
My concerns are around comfort on ride .
since i have been riding Honda Unicorn love this engine. Being 165 cm tall give less choice .
Amongst this 3, my choice will be the X440.
@@bigbearbangalore thank you much appreciated
I saw your fuelX video if we use it it's increasing milage...or Not..
Not likely to increase.
Sir Himalayan 411 front and back tyre pressure points please ?
Unable to recall. Please check owners manual.
The question which i have is not regarding this video so the question is how do i adjust the himalayan 411 swingarm??? It is not going along with the pillion rider seat the swingarm is crooked towards left side.
Get it checked. Something could need repair or replacement.
please tell about octane boosters and their impacts?
Will check on this possibility.
Octane boosters do nothing. They just avoid knock on high compression engines. All octane rating does is slow the burn of gas.
Hi Sir, thanks for the advice.
I recently bought a Ronin, few people told me to not fill the fuel tank to its maximum capacity & always leave some space in the tank for air, is that true??
Kindly reply.
Fill to just where it touches the bottom of the filler hole ring. To the cap rubber seal is not recommended.
@@bigbearbangalore thanks Sir
I’m sure the choice of motorcycle in the thumbnail is purely unintentional 😂
😀
Can you please suggest me best quality, for Himalayan bike ride ride my bike 25,000 km maxxis or reise
Both equally good.
