I have been riding this bike for 5-6 months and I would have liked a bigger tank on this bike and the heat from the radiator hits my legs directly and heats up the tank and I usually have my legs wrapped around the tank pads so I really feel it on my crown jewels😂
I really love this bike. The only problem I've encountered is that after riding around 1700 km, the chain has become loose for the second time. Other than that, it's perfect and mileage is also given 32
Hi, i have changed the engine oil to castrol 10w50 super bike. Man now the bike is smooth, vibe free & Heats less when compared to the Hp prolube. Also the unwanted tappet noise is also not present. The stock oil is of low quality and looses is viscosity fast.
Thats about what I thought. It's the right size & weight for challenging off road-slow tight-steep and everything else in between. Weight & size are your enemy off road especially on your own & especially in difficult conditions so as soon as I saw it I thought Triumph had nailed it. I have a Meteor 350 I use off road & even with standard tyres it does off road very well but obviously lacks a bit of ground clearance/suspension travel if you were going through some more difficult terrain but obviously you would need a bash plate & 50/50 tyres & take your time. But obviously the Triumph has similar dimension-less weight Meteor 350 190 kg on weigh bridge wet & Triumph 179 kg wet. That's a big weight saving & having sat on one you certainly notice it. The suspension felt very compliant & comfortable. Great review guys.
I got myself a speed 400 this sunday, suits me more with what I am doing and what I intend to do, drove 220km so far, loveing it so far, oddly I don't feel heat rven when in traffic (got stuck in bad one at noon with 40 degrees, probably too used to it), I am still playing with her so far so good though, oh and its avg fuel indicator has moved from 23 to 27 in my case, I see it float between 25 to 28 so far......we will see how it goes when I refuel Thanks for video guys, cheers from here, or maybe we should cheer some water in this heat xd
That's a very nice review, I also am a proud owner of Scrambler 400x, and have exactly the same views as yours, love riding it around the city. Bosky, my Speed 400 shows a constant 28. But I have been getting 22-23 in the city since my first fuel up on the bike in August. Been calculating every time I fill the tank to full. On the highway it's in the 30s
My issue with fuel economy reading is different. It is exaggerating the reading by around 4kmpl. I checked full tank to full tank fuel consumption around 6 times and the actual value is almost always 4 kmpl less than the reading it shows on the dash.
It lets u to do mistake and rectify. Till now no stalling issue with 1k+ distance covered. Showroom people said everything is updated while delivery. Yes...heat is there... But its manageable with this 400 cc single cylinder machine.

I have about 1000km on mine now, and am also very pleased indeed with it. My only complaints are the truly shocking headlight performance at night, and the over-bright instrument backlight. The headlight I can live with or work around, but I would welcome suggestions for dimming the brightness of the display.

Request you to review the Maverick 440 , Seems like a good blend of performance and economy , with hero's affordable spares and wide-spread service network. Would love to hear your thoughts.
The same speed breaker incident happened with me but thankfully in my case the speed breaker was somehow round, so up I went and down I came with the bike and went on ahead like nothing had happened !!!
Amazing video as always! What are your views about the Hero Mavrick 440? I went to the Hero showroom but got a test tide in the backdoor galli only, wasn't allowed to actually test it on proper roads, would love a review till it comes to the showroom near me (I went all the way to another city for that galli test drive 😢)
Good presentation. One point you mentioned about niggles and how every machine is bound to have them at certain point of ownership. Now, Imagine Duke 390 (new one) having issues like tyre wobbling and change, Console malfunction within first 4000 km. People will lose their shit over it. And name calling and blasting KTM will begin. Same with VW/Skoda cars. Every machine has some issues. But people tend to react more frantically towards certain brands and docile towards some others.
Please advise: Was a Classic 500 owner since last 11 years. Now I am looking for a bike which can tour plus commute. Also new bike should have good low and mid range power. I rode 390 ADV on rent for 10 days in Spiti. I felt the the bike always keeps you busy irrespective of the road conditions in terms of gearing and throttling. Also the suspension in broken tarmac road was not comfortable. Otherwise I loved the responsiveness and most importantly how agile the bike feels. Now please suggest should I wait for 390 ADV or should I go with the Scrambler 400X(test ride experience was very good except it doesn't give big bike feel) which is okay for a Scrambler characteristic)
I am a tall rider, 6feet 6, considering to buy a new bike. Want a good balance between comfort and speed. Pillion comfort is also to be considered. Use involves mostly city rides with a long touring once in a couple of months. I will be upgrading from a pulsar 150.Could you suggest me one.
Sir liked your genuine review .. Sir one question do you recommend sintered brake pads instead of organic ones ?? Saw many ppl complaining if bike is at 100+ speed and sudden braking with organic become an issue ??
I have kind of agree with sir's review, completely honest and unbiased review, but I want to know, what about the mirror, one bike cross 100+, could not see anything about in side mirrors, guys any advice? Also I will install maddog light soon.
Hellooo Sir,😄 I guess fork oil seal issue is common in speeds and scrams Many users including me had fork oil leak issue, got it replaced but had to pay 1300 ( including labour)
Hi Bosky, to open and clean the front sprocket of Speed 400, what tool would I need? A T Spanner? I asked at the service centre but I didn't get a straight answer, they said there's no need to open it and that there is some wiring there, which, if not tucked in properly can come in contact with the chain and cause trouble. But I wish to clean the front sprocket as well when I clean my chain as gunk builds up there. I will of course be careful with the wiring. Any idea on what tool to use to open it so that I can purchase it?
Dear Sir, Requesting your advice to consider Triumph based on my below requirements. 1. It should be easy to ride, with manageable weight. 2. It should accommodate female passengers, especially when wearing a saree. 3. Primarily for city use, with occasional highway trips (no off-road). 4. Cost-effective maintenance and overall ownership expenses. 5. Reliability, availability of parts, and ongoing service support for at least five more years without risk of discontinuation.
@@bigbearbangalore Thank you for your prompt response. Based on my requirements, I've shortlisted three motorcycles: the Honda CB350RS, Royal Enfield Meteor 350, and Triumph Speed 400. I would appreciate any insights or advice you can provide regarding these choices. Thank you.
bosky also speaking about the vibs i think when u change the engine oil and go for a good one it might even become more smooth and refined no ? what are your thoughts on this ?

Bosky, any recommendations for the brake levers for the Speed 400? There is just too much empty travel before it starts to bite. Would you recommend getting a RCB master cylinder kit to also help improve the braking?
@@bigbearbangalore Yes Bosky am aware of the shift to Galfer pads. The pads on my Speed 400 come with sintered ones as you know. No complaints about the braking but just that I have to pull the lever in quite a bit before it feels like the brakes are being engaged. That’s all

Nope
Done 10k kms and no issues so far. Excellent Bike..
👍
Im thinking to buy this bike.
But im nervous and also excited, as this will be my first bike
Congrats!
Go for it.
Re gueriila or the scrambler 400x in terms of touring, comfort and high speed stability ?
Try it to know more.
@@bigbearbangalore it's available for only 4 or 5 minutes to test ride and it's not possible to judge a bike with in that time period. As you guys have personally ride both the bike for a quite a good distance , I am expecting a convincing response.
Haven't ridden the GRR long enough to give a convincing response you seek.
I like the 400X suspension over the GRR and like the high speed stability of the GRR over the 400X.
@@bigbearbangalore this reply is convincing enough
I own this piece of beauty and my o my I can feel every bit of you said and agree to it..its just a beauty..people who are complaining about heat go and ride a duke 390 or rather any bike of this displacement you will get to know what overheating really means 😂😂 this bike is a real beauty love every bit of it an whatever bosky said its all correct and real ❤
👍
For me the average fuel economy was changing when the bike was new and after a few highway rides it's now stuck at 34 kmpl.
🙏
Enjoy your videos Saar. But request more cameos from furry frens please🐾🐶
Thanks. Will try.
Give a ride review for Maverik 440. Lovely motorcycle at a great price.

Request you to review the Maverick 440 ,
Seems like a good blend of performance and economy , with hero's affordable spares and wide-spread service network.
Would love to hear your thoughts.

The same speed breaker incident happened with me but thankfully in my case the speed breaker was somehow round, so up I went and down I came with the bike and went on ahead like nothing had happened !!!
🙏
Amazing video as always! What are your views about the Hero Mavrick 440? I went to the Hero showroom but got a test tide in the backdoor galli only, wasn't allowed to actually test it on proper roads, would love a review till it comes to the showroom near me (I went all the way to another city for that galli test drive 😢)
Yet to see it or ride it.
Which city are you talking about ?

Good presentation. One point you mentioned about niggles and how every machine is bound to have them at certain point of ownership. Now, Imagine Duke 390 (new one) having issues like tyre wobbling and change, Console malfunction within first 4000 km. People will lose their shit over it. And name calling and blasting KTM will begin. Same with VW/Skoda cars. Every machine has some issues. But people tend to react more frantically towards certain brands and docile towards some others.
🙏
Baski and ck sir the way you guys are delivering information sounds like a lullaby to me.😂❤
🙏
Square speed breaker 😮😮😮 that could have turned ugly. I'm just glad you are alright sir🙏

Please advise:
Was a Classic 500 owner since last 11 years.
Try the Svartpilen 401. That’s the engine on the new 390 Adv.
What is the situation on availability of spares for the 400x? Are they easily available, or are there wait times?
Sir liked your genuine review .. Sir one question do you recommend sintered brake pads instead of organic ones ?? Saw many ppl complaining if bike is at 100+ speed and sudden braking with organic become an issue ??
Yes you can consider sintered pads for sharper braking.
I have kind of agree with sir's review, completely honest and unbiased review, but I want to know, what about the mirror, one bike cross 100+, could not see anything about in side mirrors, guys any advice? Also I will install maddog light soon.
Mirrors are still OK and manageable. I've switched to Doubletake mirrors but they are premium and cost a bit too much.
Thank u for the review.. ill take the test drive for sure.. i took for guerrilla was not impressed..
👍
great review as always!!! Any product link for the Galfer brake pads??

I had the mileage indicator issue. But resetting it made it work.
Mileage was way off so I stopped looking at it
👍
Hellooo Sir,😄
I guess fork oil seal issue is common in speeds and scrams
Many users including me had fork oil leak issue, got it replaced but had to pay 1300 ( including labour)
Thanks for sharing.
Haven't yet bothered about it. I'll do it once in 10,000 kms. And I have 5,000 kms to go.

Dear Sir,
Requesting your advice to consider Triumph based on my below requirements.
Hello. Plenty of personal choices of shape size weight design power budget etc. Please shortlist 3 and I can share my thoughts. Thanks.
@@bigbearbangalore Thank you for your prompt response. Based on my requirements, I've shortlisted three motorcycles: the Honda CB350RS, Royal Enfield Meteor 350, and Triumph Speed 400. I believe these options align well with my criteria for ease of riding, passenger accommodation, city usage, maintenance costs, and long-term reliability. I would appreciate any insights or advice you can provide regarding these choices. Thank you.
Me too vary glad to own the scrambler. Wish I could have a tall wind screen from Triumph.
Otherwise too good a bike.
👍
I have done around 2k kms on my scrambler and I have the same 27km/l on dash. It doesn’t change even after a reset.
🙏
Well how is your bike, tell me details

bosky also speaking about the vibs i think when u change the engine oil and go for a good one it might even become more smooth and refined no ?
what are your thoughts on this ?
There is some improvement with a top quality fully synthetic oil.
I'm still experiencing stalling issues with my Scrambler at 4300 km, despite the service center updating the ECU for the second time. I believe the issue persists. Could it be related to the ECU or the engine oil?
😢
That's unusual. Raise a compliant to Bajaj and pursue firmly for a resolution.
RE Classic 350 Reborn OR Triumph 400X for daily office ride and weekend Highway or slightly Off roading, with Pillion Which is more comfortable for rider and pillion??
They are quite different to each other. I'd say very different. Test ride to know more. Ask the pillion about pillion comfort.
What alternate tyre options are there? I couldnt find similar tyre size on the websites of the popular brands
Reise Moto
Night riding with the 400X is a task. Please suggest alternatives for Head light.

@@bigbearbangalore thank you Anna
My dash is stuck at 32 forever. If you replace the Dash, Kms will be adjusted as per current reading.

Bosky, any recommendations for the brake levers for the Speed 400? There is just too much empty travel before it starts to bite. Would you recommend getting a RCB master cylinder kit to also help improve the braking?
I haven't noticed this issue and happy with the way it is.
Besides I've switched to GALFER semi-sintwred brake pads from the organic OEM pads.
@@bigbearbangalore Yes Bosky am aware of the shift to Galfer pads. The pads on my Speed 400 come with sintered ones as you know. No complaints about the braking but just that I have to pull the lever in quite a bit before it feels like the brakes are being engaged. That’s all
Ok and sorry I know not of any solution for this.
@@bigbearbangalore That’s okay Bosky. Thank you
Hi, i remember you speaking about performance air filters and normal air filters, where you said there are not many huge differences between the two, i thought of not changing my bike's air filter after watching it. So I want to know do you suggest me to jump to BMC on my cb350 for better performance?
Marginal performance improvement.
Hi sir,
I like the style of reviews videos, they are informative and entertaining . Could please share what would be your personal choice to buy a new bike between harley davidson x440 and scrambled 400 x.
Thanks
I've bought the 400X and at the moment no room for the X440.
Got it thank you
Hi team, i have question. My 2023 Speed 400 has clocked 4k km since December. After riding at 140 km/h, exhaust sound changed. Switched from XP95 to normal petrol, noticed power drop. Serviced bike, adjusted chain, rear wheel, washed, lubed chain. Still missing XP95 sound.
Does exhaust sound change when we use different petrol or this could be a concern ?
Kindly let me know pls
I haven't used any premium petrol to understand if exhaust note changes.
Awesome review, as always! 🙂Can the rear rim take a 150 section tyre?
While almost anything is possible, not recommended.
@@bigbearbangalore Okay.
My speed 400 fork seal got damaged and they charged me 1300 and said above 4000 we cant give warranty any way with warranty i need to pay around 900 for fork oil and seal cover. But because it is not covered under warranty i ended up paying 400 extra
