In today's video, I'm sharing 12 winter clothing essentials to give you all the styling, thrifting, and curating inspo for your winter wardrobe :) Question of the day: What are your plans for Christmas / the holiday season? Doing anything special, any fun traditions, maybe just having a nice relaxing time in? Either way, I hope you guys are having a special, cozy holiday season so far. ❤️🎄
It can be very chilly here in Upstate New York and your idea with the layered thermal tights and your more sheer stockings on top is a GREAT suggestion…THANKS!!! I have been finding that I need another layer under my jeans, leggings and trousers this winter as well, and have been wearing fleece-lined tights under every pant I wear! I really don’t like most long underwear because they all feel too bulky under other clothing, especially jeans! The fleece-lined tights are quite warm and I make sure to wear a size that aren’t overly tight on me so they are comfortable all day! (I wear small to medium sized clothing, but my tights are medium to large. I love cotton sweaters because they never itch and they wash so easily, but they really are not warm enough in the winter! I am going to keep my eyes open for the wools and alpaca knits (Maybe even cashmere!) at the thrift stores! Like you, I am a strong believer in thrifting and 85-90% of my closet is thrifted! One of my favorite activities, when I get dressed in the morning, is to add up what I paid for my clothing that day (Not counting my underwear which I buy new!) and often times my entire outfit cost me about $5! (Sunday $1/piece sales at Goodwill are my staples!). I have a special love of belts and I have a huge collection-mostly they cost $1.99-2.99 (They have very recently gone up in price! Yes! I do have too many clothes, but most of my things cost me $1 a piece -including 4 or 5 longer wool coats that keep me very warm in this cold weather (Brown, navy, red, and an oversized vintage camel hair complete with a couple of moth holes! (So warm and comfy!). I loved your cozy scarves and I am going to keep my eyes open for some larger scarves for the winter! As always, I loved ALL your outfits and accessories in this video-very classy and beautiful- and the fit of your clothes are PERFECTION!!! I am always VERY inspired by your videos-your recommendations for cuts, colors, designs, and accessories-definitely your helpful suggestions for women with larger chests-and your always elegant and chic fashion sense! Thanks again!!! Merry Christmas Jessica…to you and your husband, and a VERY HAPPY START to 2023!!!
Ooh LOVE the fleece leggings under sheer tights tip! Didn't even think of that! I love to wear fleece leggings (pretty sure the amazon ones you put on screen are the ones I own) under my skirts and dresses. I have them in every color and I love how they're slim enough to totally pass as opaque tights. I wear black ones for work when it's cold, and my nosy boss once came up to me and asked if I was wearing black leggings as tights. I said no, they are tights 😐Mind your business. I'm not telling you this very convenient hack!
I bought two coats this year. It took 4 years for me to find the perfect coat 🧥! Finally! Both were found at consignment shop. One is super warm and the other is for "church" as we used to say growing up. A nice dress cost. I have not found the perfect scarf for it yet.
Ok but which pants do yall wear? I keep seeing denim and thin fabrics and I'm starting to consider taking my pjs out cause there's nothing quite as warm in pant fashion lol
