To me, this is by far the best X-Tool F1 video I have come acrossed. You explained everything, even exactly which port to plug in the extension with great detail and I highly appreciate that. I've subscribed to your channel because I love how well you explain things. Thank you.
I notice that when you use the extension the speed is very limited. How long did it take to engrave all four compared to just engraving a single coaster.
Wonderful! Thank you for posting these directions. I’ve had my slide extension since December and have been too intimidated to use it until now. It’s brilliantly simple thanks to your guidance. ❤
Wow, I'm waiting for my F1 bundle to arrive and trying to catch as many RUclips videos as I can. This presentation has been so informative and will save me a lot of time - many thanks
I have been trying to decide whether to go for the xTool F1. It is a lot of money to invest. This one video tutorial of yours has made my mind up to go for it. From all the others I have watched on RUclips this the best by a very long way, most detailed and easy to follow. Keep up the awesome work GLG. Now subscribed with alerts turned on as well....,
Cannot tell you how grateful I am for your brilliant tutorial… my extension tool has sat on the side, for three weeks, after my initial opening of the box, then closing the lid back on, too intimidated to proceed. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise, and in such a precise and approachable manner. I’m so glad I found your channel. , thank you for all your hard work, and the benevolent way you have shared it.
Unfortunately we don't have the rotary attachment. I'd love to have one but xTool probably won't send one to review at this stage until the channel builds up a little more. The reason they sent us the F1 and the slide extension was so that we could review it on our Alanda Craft channel which has a much larger following. However, we no longer record laser videos on that channel because that audience are mainly quilters so they are not that interested in laser machines.
Still working out training on the F1 bundle training with the daughter and I. Used your video to sit down and watch together. Best hands down. TY Wanda.
Excellent, I'm happy we were able to help James. Here is a link to our F1 set up and demo that may interest you (on our other channel) www.alandacraft.com/2023/08/16/xtool-f1-review-and-demo/
Thank you for your comment. The link to the box templates are in the description. Here is the link bit.ly/3Rm2ryp. We use Creative Fabrica for our laser files. They have thousands of free files available.
very well done and thank-you....I do have one comment, or more accurately a question? I should first say that I just recieved my F1 and am setting up for the first time. Do I assume that once the slide is installed and calibrated that the assumption is that you would not remove it often. Do you have to recalibrate it, if for some reason one did take it off? I am going to assume that would what one would do...recalibarate it. Thank you for a fine video.
Good question…I had to check over on the xTool website and they state the following: “ The speed has been limited to 160mm/s in order to guarantee the precision of slide extension.”
We do have a video that gives the settings for a number of materials including cardstock on our Alanda Craft channel. Here is the link to that video www.alandacraft.com/2023/08/16/xtool-f1-review-and-demo/
yes, sorry I should be more specific. so the actual size of item. say a box, well now it is obvious to me... of course if we add the slide the maximum size of item must be reduced by that. Probably should have thought it through before asking. @@golasergo
This was by far the best tutorial for setting up the Slide Extension. Thank you! Greetings from Germany.
Thank you 😊.

I'm so glad we were able to help Sarah 😊. The slide extension certainly adds to the functionality of the F1.
Thank you so much you made setting it up so easy! I can’t believe I’ve had it in a box so long it’s so nice!
We love it. It makes batch work so quick and easy.

Excellent. You are going to have a lot of fun with this laser. It really is great.

Wow, that's a great compliment, thank you so much. And I think you will love the F1 - it is my favourite laser (and we have 10 of them at this point).
Now why was I afraid to attempt to attach the slide? Your video was outstanding
Glad we could help.

if you ever to do a similar post for the rotary attachments that would be awesome! @@golasergo

@@golasergo I am certain it won’t take long to build up your followers, you really did an amazing tutorial.
Excellent tutorial. I received my F1 bundle today. This is so helpful! Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Hope you have fun with it. I love it!
Excellent video. Thanks for the clean demonstration! Cheers
Glad it was helpful!
Fantastic presentation! Thank you
You're very welcome!

Excellent, I'm happy to hear that 😊
Live your video! Straight to the point no unescesary stuff. One question tho, where did you find a box template?
Thank you for your comment. The link to the box templates are in the description. Here is the link bit.ly/3Rm2ryp. We use Creative Fabrica for our laser files. They have thousands of free files available.
Great review, nice clamps for holding the material
Yes, the clamps are great. Well done to the person who developed these.
Great video! Very clear!
Excellent Video very detailed
Very helpful! I have a slide extension and the instructions (like pretty much all Xtool instructions) are not very good at all.
Thank you 😊. We really enjoy using the slider. It certainly expands the use of the F1 (which we love).
Wuauu this is the best video ever !! Thank
You ❤❤❤
I'm glad you like it
Thanks!
Thank you so much 😊 It's very much appreciated.

That's what we do when we remove it and replace. We recalibrate the slider. I'm glad to hear you found the video helpful.
Thanks for the video! A quick question. What is the top speed when using the slide?
Good question…I had to check over on the xTool website and they state the following: “ The speed has been limited to 160mm/s in order to guarantee the precision of slide extension.”
Great tutorial - could you guess which settings you used by scoring and cutting the cardstock ?
We do have a video that gives the settings for a number of materials including cardstock on our Alanda Craft channel. Here is the link to that video www.alandacraft.com/2023/08/16/xtool-f1-review-and-demo/
Perfect!
thank you!!!!
brilliant tutorial ; ? the slide takes about 2.5 inch / 6.5 cm from the hight?
I'm not sure what you are asking. Do you mean the height from the laser to the slide extension?
yes, sorry I should be more specific. so the actual size of item. say a box, well now it is obvious to me... of course if we add the slide the maximum size of item must be reduced by that. Probably should have thought it through before asking. @@golasergo
great video
Thank You
Thank you too!
Excellent video! Thank you.
Thanks ❤
where can i find that MDF coasters?
We are in Australia and got these at our local Bunnings hardware store. The brand name is Boyle and they measure 11.2cm x 9.4cm.
Ok. So the calibration was interupted. How do I get the software to re do the calibration?
Not knowing exactly what happened, I can only suggest that you turn everything off, shut down creative space and start from scratch.
