Thank you Ricardo!
Absolutely amazing instructions and work you do for us! Thank you my friend! A life saver you are.
That's clearly best guide for me. My Hp 7200 MT workstation's bios had corrupted. I tried many ways to fix it, but failed. Finally, without desoldering, i followed your guide and made all steps. Your guide brought it back to life:) I appreciated. Thank you so much.
This video is going to help a lot of people, thank you for making it!
It saved my x79 motherboard from trash bin. Really helpful video.
i guess Im asking randomly but does any of you know of a method to log back into an instagram account..?
I was stupid lost the password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me
Phil's computer lab mentioned you today! Hell yes, your channel deserves so many more followers. Such great content.
Thank you for the support!
Awesome. Have this programmer on order. Need to flash a bricked laptop and hopefully bring back to life. Nice work as usual , thanks for the info
Wow. This is an incredible resource. I cannot put into words how thankful I am! :)
Your channel deserves more subscriptions. Hope you will make many useful videos about computer engineering!
Been waiting for this, thank u!
I found a non working s400ca Asus Zenbook. that wil live another day thanks to this guide. Thank you very much!
thank you very much, I admire your work you know a lot about computers, I was able to recover the bios of my motherboard thanks to you!
Glad to have made it here. This is the advanced internet user type video ☻
i been searching for this video good job man
Thank You for the awesome tutorial! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
These instructions are perfect. Thank you so much.
Another satisfied customer. With this vid and others, I was able to un-brick an asrock a320m mother board that I was trying to update normally for a ryzen 5700g.
I am glad to help. 🙂
Thanks man!!!!! Im only here to watch how to program but also great video! Too useful for those that bricked his bios (srry for my English)
This item is helping me with badly modified bios.
I tried to change the logo of Asrock G41M-VS3. Didn't boot afterwards but I flashed it using file from official asrock site. It worked again.
this is gonna be really handy with secure boot bricking everyone's gigabyte motherboards when they're trying to install windows 11
This has just happened to me
@@ULTRAJSKand to me 😂
@@CisumAPRAT What happened??
@@MrMalam1234bricked the bios on my gigabyte b450m ds3h while trying to enable secure boot for win 11, because i kept going fast in the bios menu 😂, but i reflashed the bios with the ch341a and everything is perfect 👌
Excellently presented video for peeps like me who need to be talked through each phase to complete the job. I will add to this comment when my USB Flash Programmer arrives. Once again thanks for a complete tutorial for this process.
Did it arrive?
Yes it did and it enabled me to restore the chip that I have.
How do you know what series of chip you have? Since 2300 and 2400 go on different sides of the programmer. Did this work for you?
By searching for the instructions for my programmer
Thank you for this video I managed to save my Z170 pro gaming mother board with this device and tutorial
Thank you man, your videos are really helpful
This channel is a gem!
Thanks!
Thank for your explanation!!! It's so helpful
Thank you! Very well made!
Ima download it thanks for sharing!!
Thank you realy needed this video
Hi there , it was one of your best tutorial video . it was awesome and perfect and informative tutorial video . keep it up . thnx
Thanks to your video howto guide! I was able to flash my old x58ud3r mobo. Unfortunately, it did not fixed the constant reboot issue.
Managed to save my board ,thanks.
A very useful video... Thanks alot
Mr Miyconst thank you for saving my ass again with this guide. I had a little trouble as usual but I did it!
Good job figuring things out!
Golden channel--- nice content-- subbed immediately 💯
thank you! great video
Thx for the PSU trick helped me a lot
many thanks for the great video helped me thank you very much
Muchas gracias por tan valioso material, sos un capo!!
Love you bro it was very much usefull
I am going to try flash my z170 pro gaming bios chip tomorrow. Using your tutorial hope the programmer i get is not faulty.
Good luck with the project!
Thanks - managed to restore a functional BIOS to an otherwise bricked motherboard because of this video. FYI the ASprogrammer software had some pretty serious graphics distortions on my display, but functionally it worked perfectly even so- might be reassuring for others to know. Thanks again
very nice this gives me little confident
thanks so much for this video. Helped me to update bios after black screen after undervolting on Gigabyte g5 kc. I did not believe it, until i saw first message on screen. But I had interesting problem, that it could not connect with usb3, but it worked with usb 2 connector ...
Your USB 3.0 port might be implemented through an external controller which does not provide enough power. Good job reviving your motherboard!
Great video thanks
This guide saved my B450i Strix, only thing I did differently was that I used Neoprogrammer.
Hey man! I've brick my b450i strix can you help me bringing back to life by telling me everything you did ? Thanks in advance
As always, everything is super. Waiting for new cheats from your side
Thank you very much brother
Esperemos que este video me funcione mas adelante saludos bro ;)
Hi there , it was great thankyou
Thanks alot!
What a nice video
Thanks a lot ❤️
This is a great tutorial that explained things well enough that my monkey brain could follow it. Thanks!
Gracias, muy buen video pude arreglar mi rx580, sludos
I have a question, what would happen if you per exemple leave fans, cpu, rams on your motherboard while doing it?
These extra components may drain some extra current from the programmer and it may fail to detect or properly read/write the BIOS chip.
Great video, thanks.I hope i never need to use this info
Heads-up for those wanting to flash a bricked old X58 motherboard (Gigabyte X58A UDR3 Rev 2.0 here), I had no luck using AsProgrammer1.4.1, but was able to successfully flash my BIOS chip using CH14AProgrammer ver. 1.1.1.3.2.
Thanks for sharing the info.
@@Miyconst No problem. Ironically this was an Aliexpress refurbished board that the seller explicitly stated on the listing "Updated to the latest BIOS for maximum CPU compatibility"... didn't POST or put out any signal at all, tried absolutely everything you could think of... eventually I decided I may as well get a BIOS Flash Programmer tool as a last resort (return period had already passed before I tested the board as it looked very clean and like new) as I suspected the seller did not actually update the BIOS which would prevent my Xeon X5675 from being recognised... and what do you know... as soon as I flashed the BIOS the system worked perfectly haha... I think the lesson to be learnt is do not trust Aliexpress sellers to always be honest.
Found this tool on my nightstand not knowing wtf it was. :D
Most new chinese motherboard come with Winbond 25Q128JVSQ. What program do you use to flash it, because even CH341A 1.40 does not have that bios model listed.
As far as I know it's compatible with the Winbond W25Q128BV, at least I always select this option from the pop up window and it works.
Thanks!
You skipped one step, before starting to work with AsProgrammer, need to install CH341A drivers on PC, where u configuring new bios.
Thanks for your vid, very helpful!
True, I spent hours looking only to discover Windows update can download driver (under advanced options)
Thank u :)
Good tutorial
However, to clear CMOS you just use the jumper as indicated on the motherboard OR you remove the battery but not BOTH.
The program FLASHROM can be used from the command line, it does use CH341A as an option
Good luck
❤️❤️❤️
hey! Phil's Computer Lab made a vid about x99. he mentioned you 'cause of your unlock turbo boost vid! :)
That's nice. Could you please link me the video?
whoops, confused his name with Tech by Matt's. lol!
ruclips.net/video/hpUDGdDq4VQ/видео.html here's the vid
Hi, great video tutorial with amazing tips and helpful information, well explained easy to follow and understand. I need to try this on my Lenovo t460s, do I need to remove the cmos battery during the process or it’s just the 2 main laptop batteries inside? Thanks in advance.
I would suggest to remove both batteries just to be safe.
I'm a bit confused? Would I be able to just disconnect power cord to pc, and press the power button multiple times to get all the juice out to then be able to clip the bios programmer on?
Without the need of disconnecting the cpu?
Yes, you don't have to disconnect the CPU while flashing the BIOS.
Muito bom
Great precise video. Clear most of my doubts. What about the 3.3/5.0 volts issue/mod I have been reading about?
I suggest you to buy the new updated version of CH341a that has a voltage switch, no mods are needed in that case.
Hi miyconst, my atermiter x99 shows code 61 and just stays and does nothing. Do I use this tool to refresh bios?
Good morning sir I have one question for you , I have CH341a and I have clip SPI 8 and now I have clip SPI 16 so how to use with this programmer?
This is great. Can do a video of the rig frame you have. It looks interesting. How to DIY it?
Here is a short video about my test bench (frame): ruclips.net/video/3E7amlkqxgs/видео.html
Awesome tutorial mate. I'll have to try it when I get my ch341a. Only on question the ch341a is 3.3v and the datasheet from the eeprom chip says it needs 1.8v so I also ordered a adapter for 1.8v but I don't know how to connect it.
Install the adapter into CH341A and the BIOS connecting clip into the adapter, it's simple 🙂.
Thank you for the video first of all. Since I see likes to post, I'll go ahead and ask: I'm using a NeoProgrammer v2.2.0.10 but so far when I want to open the repaired BIOS Image that someone has done for me, that has access to LBE++ BIOS Extractor (dealing with an HP BIOS here), I get the error message File not open, press ok to ignore & risk data corruption or abort to kill the program. Any ideas why that happens? What going wrong?
When I press ok, the cursor on the laptop I'm using (since mine is well the patient not doing so well) just does an infinite loading circle.
The Surfaces from Micro Soft are seal units with no coin batteries in them. The one I have just might have a SSD that can be remove or not. Think of Surface screen that sits on top of a battery and a Mother Board. No moving parts (maybe a fan) the screen is glue down. The BIOS lock is separated from the regular password.
Then I am afraid you need to bring the device to a workshop.
Hi, I have a question. Maxsun b450m challenger is supports Ryzen 7 1700 but , in product page it says it requires different bios for that . But in the official website Ryzen 1000-5000 series requires *B1* bios . I don't if it has the latest bios then I put a Ryzen 7 1700 is that going to work.
Each motherboard has its own BIOS with a list of supported CPUs. If the seller says that you need another BIOS for R7 1700 then most likely it's true.
@@Miyconst seller said latest bios supports Ryzen 7 1700 . But the product description that need different bios. Can I buy it
Take screenshots of the conversation with the seller and if the motherboard doesn't work with R7 1700 - demand compensation or return the motherboard. I cannot guarantee you anything, it's not me who sells the motherboard and it's not me who writes the description page. 😃
Hi great content, i have a question, being the motherboard an x79 turbo, is there any situtation where the bios has to be removed out of the motherboard to be reprogrammed or is it always possible to reprogram with the chip still on the motherboard? I have an old psu that i was planning to use for not having to take mine out of my computer but it doesn't have the 8 pin conector, do you think that the 24 pin alone could be enough? Thanks.
Yes, 24-pin power is usually enough, you can also try to read/write the BIOS without connecting any power, it might work.
@@Miyconst Nice, good to know, thank you for answering, focusing on the technical side of computer hardware on youtube as well as you're doing is rare now days.
Hey mate, thanks for the video, I do have a question, I have a gigabyte motherboard and I downloaded F5 version from their website and after extracting, one of the files is a firmware image file. When I load the file in the uefitools, I don't have the option to extract the capsules, so I assume I can skip the step where I have to extract the capsule and can write the file directly into the bios?
That's correct. You probably can just write the file. As far as I know, Gigabyte doesn't use capsules, it's only Asus.
@@Miyconst ah right thanks mate
Hi there, what is the difference between 24x and 25x on CH341A programmer? thnx
If you dont have the button Detect on the CH341a Programmer, you only need to install the driver of the CH341a.
Hey @Myconst, i updated my Z840 with the HP Updater program, it was working allright, even i rebooted with out issue, but then i waited for a day, now it will not post, everything points to a corrupted bios, i have researched this CH341a programmer, but everyone says that it needs a driver, do you happen to have it? or with the AsProgrammer is not required?
The driver is available in the AsProgrammer folder.
@@Miyconst thank you so much, BTW you make great videos
Do u have any review on H81 boards from lenovo? i have one here but i don't find anything about supported Xeons. Do u happen to know if it works?
I do not review such boards, but if you specify the full model name, I might be able to provide some help.
Hi, i would like to use this to reflash my bios that is suspected to be infected. But i am worried about thsi programmer whether it itself contain virus(like badusb) or the driver itself. And i would like to ask if reflash the bios can remove the virus thanks
Hey got a Maxsun B650. Not sure which file to write with, in the BIOS folder I have 5 files:
3 EFI files (AfuEfix64, BootIa32, BOOTX64) - each 600KB file size
032 file - 32,000KB file size
NSH File - 1KB
Any ideas?
032 file is the BIOS. For the B650 board you most likely need 1.8V adapter.
@@Miyconst Thanks, appreciate it.
Came back to just say thanks again, verified it's a 1.8V chip.
hola. intente todo y no me reconoce el chip. ademas , al conectar el programador pone el display FF y hace un pitido(ruido) muy fuerte. que podria ser?

I got my X99-TF bricked and with this tutorial I was able to fix it, than you Myconst!!!
By the way, is there any place to learn in detail the different versions of the BIOS inside your tool?
Having the CH341a here, makes me want to make some test but I would like to know what is the difference between one and another.
Mi899 has a description for every BIOS option. You can launch the app and pick the BIOS you want. Beware: multiple BIOS flash with CH341A may break the BIOS chip or its legs.
Hi Marlon, I have a laptop that is bricked. I need to get a .bin file to use with ch341a. any idea on how to convert .exe file to .bin file for flashing?

How to run 5.1 sound from the motherboard Kllisre X99 D8?

You don't need any extra software as far as I know, just plug in all the sound system connectors.
@@Miyconst Unfortunately, if that were the case, I wouldn't ask you for help
only the green stereo socket works and the rest of the signals are missing.

Hello what about hp bios files .exe it gives 4 .bin files if i choose to make a copy on this pc. which bios file i choose?
Can CH341A write the bios on the following chip 'Winbond 25X/Q Series'??
Yes, as far as I know.

my chip is 32 mb but the bios i downloaded from the gigabite website is only 1.41 mb, i cant find the correct bios for GA-78LMT-USB3
This programmer can be used for any system, that uses nand memory as bios, such as printers, tv set top boxes.
That's true.
Even GPUs,right?
@@akiresu_x1291 As far as I know if GPU board has supported NAND chip then it will support that too.
ok.. but how do you put the device itself together in order to start this whole process?
hey bro, i didnt buy this device yet but i have question when i get in as programmer i can see my chips in there. is that mean %100 compatible with my chip or there is steel chance that not compatible ?
If the BIOS chips is listed - it's compatible, still there may be other factors that will prevent you from reading or writing it.
