I think the sickest thing about Muse has always been that the bass is actually the loudest instrument in the mix. Way louders then the vocals and the drums are squashed it's amazing. I love wolstenbeast so much
@@balthazardlopez5491 in the verse of Uno, depending on what service you're streaming, there's an audible dip in the vocals and drums when the verse bass part drops in, it's probably as a result of modern compression over ageing production, but I love it. Matt sings in a register usually way above the bass tone, meaning you can hear all the lovely mid tones Chris uses.
@@balthazardlopez5491 I did, probably a year later, love the shit. Though honestly and hilariously, the guitar playing is usually the best thing about it. Claypool is amazing technically and as an entertainer, but the guitar playing is the most musical and tasteful
Wtf. Listened to this for the first time today and it's fucking crazy. Goosebumps everywhere. Such amazing vocals. Such fantastic instruments, I swear i could even hear some of Mat's voice in them. Beautiful.
I have a love/hate experience with The 2nd Law (my favourite album)! Because that album is so relatable, experimental, and personal; I'm just now trying to listen to it again after 10 years....
This isn't even the highest the lead singer can go, listen to the song the person above mentioned me and you can see how high he can really go. Matthew Bellamy (the lead singer of Muse) is absolutely phenomenal when it comes to vocal range.
The Great Sloth Lord I know, he is such amazing singer! In Drones he does a few lower voices, but sometimes he goes so high its unbelievable! Love ur name btw
+Blaze Schmidt Thanks, just as I type this another Muse song called MK Ultra is playing on the radio. Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, some of his vocals on the album Absolution are absolutely amazing too especially at the end of this song from the album called "Sing for Absolution."
I listen to this song so frecuently, and I still drop some emotional tears at the high note. That note is fucking sick, just like this song. Also, When I was like 12 years (4 years ago lol) I hated this album,I was soooooooooo dumb. Also 4:04 fucking kills me.

I'm not the usual type of listening to these kind of songs, rock metal whatever it is. But fuuuck this song is good, and from what I can tell criminally underrated. And only reason I can hear this masterpiece, because one of you viewers input this game on a mod for Project Zomboid of all things and damn I'm hooked.
Me too, personally have disliked most of their new stuff (2nd Law, Drones, Simulation Theory) but the old stuff like Origin, Absolution will forever remain my favourite albums and I will always support them.
Bobski I wasn’t a huge fan but I thought Drones was pretty good. Sure, it has “Drones” but it also has “Reapers”, which is in my top five Muse songs. I haven’t listened to much of Simulation Theory but I like most of what I’ve heard.
The first part keeps reminding me of the jumanji drums and funny story, one day I first heard this song, and I also had watched Jumanji not to long before that and I heard the intro and I was like "WTF" and I had to pause the music to make sure I wasn't in Jumanji lol
Although this song does not have my most favourite lyrics nor my most favourite soundtrack, this has the best vocal ending sequence I have heard in any song, ever. Period.
Wallow means to roll oneself about in a lazy, relaxed, or ungainly manner. I hope you'll be able to understand it from there on. Maybe you already have.
LOL i cant remember where else i saw your profile, but i know someone was telling you that you forgot a "n" in your name because they thought you spelled it wrong or something. What are the odds of seeing the same you-tuber on two completely different videos!

No it isn't like in certain songs yes but your probly thinking about primus

Se vuoi vengo io :-)
As a bass player, I love it loud; but, it also depends on the song. You don't want to overplay. And, sure enough, we always get the cops out....
Wtf. Listened to this for the first time today and it's fucking crazy. Goosebumps everywhere. Such amazing vocals. Such fantastic instruments, I swear i could even hear some of Mat's voice in them. Beautiful.
This is Peak Muse. At this level, they are untouchable
Its a shit album can't believe people like this one when it has the least views aswell dunno why dumb guy like the less viewed songs out of bands
it was SO AMAZING to hear this live at Rock Wercher last weekend!!!!!
It was unbelievable... Still can't believe I was there
Was that the show with the technical problems?
@@tutsybassistayeah they were originally gonna play knights of cydonia but played this instead due to technical difficulties
Still after all these years this song will forever be so good and Matthew's high note at the end will forever kill me!
I get goosebumps everytime I listen to this. Seen muse 9 times now and hopefully will add to that in the future
You're so lucky!
you are so luckyyyy
Matt's voice is beautiful.
matt’s voice is so fvcking amazing
Showbiz is definitely my favorite album
It's okay to have a fave different than others. :) My fave is Absolution.
I love all of them
I have a love/hate experience with The 2nd Law (my favourite album)! Because that album is so relatable, experimental, and personal; I'm just now trying to listen to it again after 10 years....
12 years later still the same tears.
This song is 24 years old dude
I'm a guitar and I can't beat the last note.
hi guitar
@@fissurehezzer1897 im dad
this is the dumbest shit but it had me laughing lmao
@@TheRealSplexy why you name this way
This would be such a good song live, a crying shame they don't play this at concerts anymore
Just played it at Werchter (longer version too with epic solo at the end) after they had a lot of difficulties playing Knights of Cydonia.
They played this in January 2023. ⚠️ They had technical difficulties.

it's unbelievable how flexible matt's voice is infact it's the main reason this song even works
no words can explain how AMAZING this is
I love the drums and the bass in this song.
back here in 2018 wow this song will never get old
a masterpiece
back here in 2024 this song still doesn't get old
masterpiece
ending scream - lyric shown as "Ooh"
I cried
SimpleKhajiit Now that's what I call an understatement
oof
should've been more of a "ooooaooaaaaahaahaaoaoauoauaoaoaaoaaAAAAOAAOAAOAOAOAOOAAAAAAAAH" imo
Ooh
THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE FOR EVEEEEER
Such a FCKIN GOOD SONG! THIS IS HOW HIGH VOCALS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE!

Yes, I love that one, hes got a good range in that one. MK Ultra is really underrated as well, so are the rest of the tracks on The Resistance
the last scream is the hardest scream ive heard from muse
Listened to this again after crazy time in my life lyrics are so relevant i love it
this song invokes feels
true
controlling my feelings for too long, i wont let you control my feelings anymore
I love both songs, but I don't see a similarity
+PaulEBotzBK14 Matt has actually said in an interview that they are similar lyrically
After the edning scream he sounds like his vocal chords were torn apart.
THIS IS SO AWESOME
Okay, now this is epic
I listen to this song so frecuently, and I still drop some emotional tears at the high note. That note is fucking sick, just like this song.

Yes! Matthew's voice alone can summon unicorns! 🦄

i could probably hit that last note. but it wont sound too pretty and i will probably pass out at the same time
Matt James I've hit it at school once but nobody cares because they're used to my attempts
Oh man, that's me with most Matt Bellamy High NotesTM. I can hit them but they don't sound good
I am physically incapable of going anywhere near that note.

Contol your feelings & your lust, you get into less trouble & abuse.
What the fuck does Visions of greed you wallow mean?
Wallow means to roll oneself about in a lazy, relaxed, or ungainly manner.
I hope you'll be able to understand it from there on. Maybe you already have.
These comments are exciting, let's hear that final note...

Ineffable axiomatic art. Peer pressure destroys all ultimately. For the ages. The British tragedy.

This song is the most closest I've ever heard to sound like a Radiohead song, I feel he's trying to unleash his inner Thom Yorke
Stop, stop with the Thome Yorke ;__;
He can't hit high notes. No!
i can :O
