The framing is exactly how dissociative people feel. Sam also nails PTSD flashbacks in his Homecoming show which makes me feel he did a lot of research or has personal experience with this stuff.
I don't know man even if most people say this show is underrated and should get more attention this gives me thrills me because this is not your every day tv show, this is a strong psycological one. I don't think everyone should watch this series if they are not mentally strong enough
@aec aec it is “pretentious” mate 😂🤷♂️every single super fan of every show speaks exactly like op. It’s so annoying. But I do kind of agree with op in a way. Mr robot may not be as digestible or easy to watch as other shows that are more popular. Because of how psychological and depressing this show can be. I think that might be what op was trying to say
Something we're taught in shot composition classes is to follow the "rule of space." This dictates that you leave room ahead of your subject if they are facing or moving in a particular direction. This rule is purposefully broken in almost every episode with subjects framed in the extreme corner, looking directly into the near edge of the frame. This adds a lot of tension to shots because they feel claustrophobic and add mystery to what the subject is facing towards. Perfect example of learning rules so that you can break them.
I think BD Wong gets it exactly right, it's supposed to make you feel uncomfortable, in the 1st season before I was invested in the characters, there was something putting me off watching it and I believe it was the unnatural way things are shot
I can't believe you're surprised that is underrated. We live in times when Taylor Swift is the biggest singer on the planet, a candidate for president of the USA wears diapers and Fast and Furious have managed to pull 10 sequels. These days the IQ in people lives at bikini bottom. Everybody's so stupid
The cinematography is so perfect and this makes the show way more special.
Mr. Robot does everything right.
Story, acting, directing, cinematography, sound and music, editing, etc...
and ending.... :)
Mr robot make china looks gay
Tod Campbell should've won an Emmy for his work on this show
Best cinematography in a TV series ever
Breaking bad exists too
@@gatoski3603 Breaking Bad cinematography is not that good
@@Prozzzium it’s extremely good but BB vs Mr. Robot is like apples and oranges.
@Thawne ?
@@gatoski3603 mr robot has way better cinematography than breaking bad respectfully.

Ok take a chill pill buster, the camera angles aren't gonna make anyone's head explode

I like to think that, when we see Elliot being uncentered, it’s cause the rest of the space is occupied by his other personalities.
Nice pfp
oh nice one
Nice
No it's how dissociation feels.
They frame other characters the same way. So, no.

The fact that this show is sooooo underrated 😔 so many people are missing out 😔
Is ok,this show is not for everyone
@@Prozzzium actually yeah , I like that not many people know about it , it will then loose it’s value 😌 it’s for special people 😌

Cinematography
Has anyone seen the movie with Rami malek and Denzel Washington???
NO!!??!?!?!?!
Kicked it up a notch in season 4 and didn't even receive a nomination btw. That's how rigged the Emmys are for paying studios.
