True. I bought bunch of transparent/cull neocaridina online.
I put it outdoor tub coz i thought wild neocaridina would be hardier & able to survive under hot temp.
Now I have dark red, cherry, black rili, red rili, yellow, black coco, blue & transparent!
Not sure what to do next, but i think I'll just leave it there 😂

Also your skittles I bought I ended up breeding a red rili with stripe pattern in the middle part of the non red and it’s like a dark red too

Do you ever get dragonfly larvae in you guppy ponds?

I haven't yet. In the stock tank ponds with minimal filtration I get some nasty looming beetle things, but in the big pond with lots of flow I never see anything but guppies and shrimp.

Mark, i cant follow. Im mixing too and never was culling.
But the fire red i was putting in first are all colorless now, the few remaining.
I had a lot, a lot just disappared.
This fire reds showed beautiful colors for 5 years and after i was putting in other colors of neocaridina they where going less ... 😮

When you mix you always get lower grade shrimp. But you can mix and just enjoy them and let them do their thing, or you take out the ones you dont like. Have a guy that has had some of my skittles going for a ling time. He culls out the wilds or ones he dont like and sells them lically for like 50 cents or a dollar, he has lots of really good ones of all colors now and has made some money too. No matter what, unless you're cool with them going natural, you gotta take the bad ones out, whether you're mixing colors or doing lines, they will always revert back closer to wild, but they dont all go bad, at least not after 3 or 4 years lol.

@@MarkShellyAquatics my shrimp tank is a good place for all variety of shrimp. I also learned that my few blue dream even now get new blue dream shrimpletts, not mixed with others. Now i was adding red sakura. Its just like in real, lets look what future brings ❤️

my blue dream just hatched. Is it normal that it has no color? Is it cull or do i have to wait for it to have color?

    • @MarkShellyAquatics

Baby neos take some time to develop color, I never cull them until theyre around 2 months old, by then yiu can tell who the winners and losers will be
