Very well done video, great details. I appreciate a lot. I have Kenmore Elite he washer which accumulates off white soft sandish substance at the filter inlet screen for the cold water every three years. I just cleaned it (it was about 1/8 of a teaspoon) after a few months of f20 which was appearing at 17 remaining minutes (just before rinse) to within 15 minutes of the normal washing cycle start (during wash) lately. No deposit at hot water inlet screen found on my washer. I had to clean the hose openings also with a brush and then running some water through it as shown here. Just to add, after f20 we did separate rinse cycle which went through fine without error. Also when error appeared during wash, a circuit breaker restart and another new cycle went through fine. This was before cleaning and dealing with f20. Thanks very much again for this handy video.

Just wanted to comment that I had a clogged screen with an unknown substance much like you had described.. I cleaned the screen and got the same error code in the next load of wash. I took the hoses off and the screen was clogged again! after some investigating, found that my cold water hose had some junk in it. Both hot water and cold water was clean from the shutoff - but the cold water hose had somehow accumulated junk/brown algae? Replacing that hose and hoping it solves the problem. Just wanted to pass along in case anyone else has similar situation. Thanks for the video!

Thanks. Very thorough video. Maybe you can share some insight here. My machine gets a F20 but only on larger loads. I’ve done all that you showed in your video.
Any idea what could cause the F20 only on larger loads?

I've been working on my Maytag front load washer Epic Z for about 6 months. I'm trying to get it working but nothing's happening. I don't know how to search for codes BUT, I replace the pump and replace the drain but as a I plug it in turn it on it will start acting like it is going to complete as soon as I turn it on it comes on and it fills it with water...... it'll wash for a second and then it'll just cut off I had to clean my filter out it was full of trash and stuff so I cleaned all that out and I thought that would fix the problem but now all it does is it soon as I hit start it automatically shuts off it'll run for a minute and then it shut off the water still sits. I've tried to do everything, RUclips everything I still cannot fix the problem HELP ME PLEASE.......
