  • I love a good texture, and this stitch pattern really gives a lot of beautiful interest to an otherwise boring pattern. I love how the diamond shape catches the light. Add tassels, and you have an elegant table decoration for Fall! Because this pattern is rather challenging, I have made a RUclips video to accompany it.
If you would like the Ad-free printable PDF pattern, please see my Etsy or Ravelry shops at linktr.ee/days....
Please note that you do not have my permission to sell, illegally share, translate, copy, or duplicate this pattern or my photos in any way. Please do not use this pattern for a video, blog, or class tutorial. Thank you so much for following these simple rules! Please message me on Facebook or send me an email at dayscrochetnc@gmail.com with any questions.
    Supplies Needed:
-100-200 yds of any size yarn (this pattern can be made any size and yardage will vary)
-Any hook size (I used the recommended hook sizes according to my yarn label)
-6 beads with large central holes of 2 varying sizes (Optional. 2 are used for the stem)
-leather strip or matching pipe cleaner (Optional. Used for the stem)
-Hot glue gun and glue stick (to attach stem to pumpkin)
    -Polyfil stuffing
    -Yarn needle, scissors, tape measure
    -Piece of cardboard 4” wide
    Terms Used:
    Pattern is in US terminology.
    Back Post Half Double Crochet
    Chain(s)
    Fasten Off
Front Post Double Crochet 2 together
    Front Post Half Double Crochet
    Half Double Crochet
    Single Crochet
    Slip Stitch
    Yarn Over
    Gauge:
Not necessary due to the simplicity of using st multiples.
    Finished Measurements:
The size of your pumpkins will be totally up to you, but my instructions are for both smaller and larger pumpkins, with the larger size being in parentheses. My instructions call for a tubular shape that is 6” (7.5”) wide and 5” (6.5”) tall. These measurements reflect the unstuffed, flat tube. If you choose to make a different size, the rule of thumb is to make your pumpkin 1” shorter than the width of your piece.

This stitch is beautiful. Complicated, but beautiful. I am going to attempt this pumpkin. If I can make a pair of high-top booties on the first try. . . I can do this.

I made leg warmers for my granddaughter using this tutorial. I just chained 44 with a 4.5 mm hook. They came out SO cute! She wears them to ballet classes.

I think this looks neat, but I think I personally would have to make at least four or five attempts to get a decent looking end product with the complexity of the stitch. Really pretty, Ill have to come back and try this one again. Thank you for posting it, going tto check out your other videos.

After you join and create the next stitch--is that next stitch in the same stitch as joining or in the next stitch?

    • @DaysCrochet
      @DaysCrochet  3 года назад +1

Usually the first stitch of every round is the same stitch as joining in my patterns. Sorry if I didn’t make that clear here!

I was going to ask the same question so glad I found the answer. No matter how hard I tried to figure it out on the video I could never really tell. Great pattern, I made my first one this weekend and now I’m on my third. 😊
