    Shane thanks for posting the video. I've learned though that a fast closing pace usually belongs to runners that are far out of it. The pace for the second call is the most important. Horses with strong numbers here tend not to have good closing figures but it doesn't matter because they've built such a huge lead.

    Thanks for this video. I would like to see how you would find this using the racing form.

    How are you finding the the late finish horse?

    Love this strategy. Nothing like watching your horse closing in on the stretch. Speeding to a winning ticket.

    Absolutely right. You have a even better chance at shorter distance. Underdogs in a shorter race have a chance to couple up or come back near the fav. Its not 100 percent but it does work. My problem is ill find the one to comeback boxed with the fav an the overlay or underdog will win an the fav falters to 3rd :(... Lol story of my life. Well highest ex i hit was 400 an some change 65 to 1 over a 2 to 1

      Duquette Beats It happens to all of us! I would take a $400 on a exacta any day. Great job and thanks for the comment.

      That's a good insight, studies back it up too. Favs usually don't place if they don't win. You could hedge the exacta with a .50 trifecta wheel with the favorite in 3rd. Bigger payday too than the exacta.

      Great video content! Excuse me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you researched - Chiveard Betting Information Framework (probably on Google)? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for getting a proven horse racing betting system without the hard work. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my friend Sam finally got amazing success with it.

    How do you find this info? I know programs show different finishing times so I’m guessing there? And if so, is there a go to place online to get this info or do I have to buy a physical program?

    • @Weekendhandicapper
      @Weekendhandicapper  4 года назад

      Typically you will find them in past performances or your track program. You could probably watch replays which as usually free to see running styles of horses or research their charts of the races they have run in. I will leave a link below. But the quickest way would be to get past performances from Brisnet or Daily Racing Form or Equibase or some other provider.

    Great strategy. With early pace you just have to make sure the horse has a good enough recent speed figure to hang on the lead. Closers don't need the speed as much as a front runner. My rule is to use pace if the horse's speed figures are on par with the rest of the field, like within 10, if not they may just be too slow or outclassed regardless of pace.

  • @robertmiles7499

    A speed horse does best on a slow pace where it has not been used. Being up front, it uses its unspent energy to run strong down the stretch. The closer hates this scenario. It does best when the speed horses fight it out on the front end. As a general rule fast pace means closers win and slow pace means speed horses win. Your strategy is the worst possible. First, you are picking "best horses" which means low payouts and second, either your closer or your speed horse will be at the mercy of the pace of the race. Shane, this exacta stategy is without doubt one of the worst I ever heard.
