  • See how projecting the 2nd call in a race can quickly eliminate horses when handicapping.
    We will look at how this handicapping technique eliminated a 3/2 favorite in a race and how we can take advantage of this. This is the foundation to take into any horse race you handicap moving forward.

    Think I’m gonna purchase it when I get it all together maybe it’s possible we could do a race car together so I can get a better feel for it

      Thanks! Plan on doing a review of betting the Keeneland fall meet. Will be going back and looking at how I handicapped each card and wagered. Looking at both good and bad decisions. Hope it can be a better way of seeing how to use these concepts on a day to day basis.

    Pace matchups number 1 key only problem with horsebetting however is overcoming the chop/takeout this buries many horseplayers very hard to overcome mathmatically

      Completely agree! A lot of sitting out of races to try to get around that

    3/2 price on tote is not even close to 40% of the actual pool as there is sig track take out. more like 33% still a take out reducer!!!

    I think you do a great job with analyzing the races. Keep a good work up. May I ask what program do you use?

      I appreciate that! The software is RDSS. I think it is best if you’re playing more than the weekends or if you plan on taking on a longer meet. That way you can take advantage of the models you’ll build over the course of handicapping.

    Where do you find/what site do you use to see the projected fractions of a race?

    • @RyanPip_

      The software I am using is RDSS. That is how I was able to plug in the projected fractions. It uses Trackmaster data to get all the PP information.

    Ryan when using RDSS do you use the variant settings? And if so what do u have them set to?

    • @RyanPip_
      @RyanPip_  10 месяцев назад

      I have them set to what is recommended. Never played with them much. Daily track variant is at 50% and range is -15 to +15.
