I like all your comments about Iga very positive. It seems to me most of you have only just heard of Iga in the last few months, I’ve been following tennis for over 40 years and noticing a young J P McEnroe in 1977 appearing in the Wimbledon semifinal as a qualifier. I noticed Iga at the girls Wimbledon in 2018 playing a certain Miss Radacanu and beating her 6-0, 6-1, and going on to win the title that year. I mentioned elsewhere on a RUclips post that Iga would be a future World No.1 but I didn’t think it would happen this fast. She fully deserves her position as WTA World No.1 since Ash Barty retired and her subsequent results have proved this. She is very “tennis wise and astute” for her age and is very humble with each win as though she quite can’t believe it. She has taken women’s tennis to another level and the rest of the players on the tour need to keep up with her advancement. She is grounded and has a good Team around her. Let’s just say we’ll be seeing a lot more of Iga in future WTA finals. 🏆🏆🏆🏆😇🙏🏿

I felt the same when i saw Iga in RG 2020 , i am old enough to remember Navratilova vs Evert , Seles vs Graff ( i was in love of Monica ) and now , watching Iga to play tennis , i feel the same that i had felt watching Seles , Iga is another level . Some players can't handle the pressure in the final matches but Iga always shines brightest in the finals like it's where she truely belongs. She has shown her maturity and strength against Samsonova. Now she is no. 1 other players have less pressure than her because losing to no. 1 is not a shame but Iga handles it nicely so far, nothing has changed in her game. I hope she wins next 3 tournaments because she is capable of doing that and this would be a huge news. They have handed her draws they know will benefit her even if those players are the lowest but knowing they would give her trouble so are put in the other draws--this has been done AFTER the Doha tournament, namely at IW and Miami. They have chosen their cute White princess to cheat for. At the Miami semi final they were calling OUT the very, very close shots by Pegula at the semis, but were only showing the Obvious out calls on replay but never the close ones (later in the second set) and did the same to Naomi. They've been doing this since IW. They have given her the motivation and momentum she needs to build confidence but in a cheating way. Now she wins quite a few matches very easily because the other players' minds have been tainted with self doubt by the director, umpires and lines people, all part of it because case history shows prejudices, biases and more do exist by those in power and the lesser ones (lines people) all want to be part of a culture even if cheating. And only dimwits think computers can't be manipulated in the draws. Iga is a good player, there's no denying that, but she wouldn't be winning as she has been recently had she not been cheated for by those in power. One thing I give her credit for is she has learned from someone to read the other players' body movements when serving and otherwise.

In Stuttgart in the semi-finals after a 3-hour marathon with the Russian woman, she was fresh again today - as always. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again there is no one out there that can beat this woman. She simply destroys opponents with her consistent power. When I saw her bagel Osaka in a set I knew she was very special. I just don’t see how anyone beats her when she’s healthy. She has power, is very quick, has consistency of ground strokes and a great serve and is consistently putting her opponents under enormous pressure. She should easily win at least two majors this year and has the capacity to challenge Serena’s 23 major wins if she remains healthy and doesn’t allow all the money she will win to diminish her desire and enthusiasm to win. Keep in mind she is only 20 years old and if my prediction is correct she must begin this year. There is no reason why she can’t average at least 2 majors per year for the next 10 years. That puts her at 20 majors by age 30. Then she had another 5 years to win 3 or more majors which is doable. I’ll continue to watch her progress to see if she is able to maintain that desire the characterizes all the great players like Serena, Steffie, Martina and Chris. If she does and is able to remain healthy and does not overwork herself then I see her having a chance to meet and possibly exceed Serena’s 23 majors.

It's so wonderful to see a player playing with such confidence that they don't hesitate coming in for a drive volley. It's so rare to see that shot on the ladies side. She's going to be very hard to beat in Paris if she plays her best tennis. Hope nerves don't get the better of her and she carries on with this form. Iga now has officially obtained the "Intimidation Factor" that players get after dominating the tour for consecutive weeks. Martina had it, so did Chrissy, Serena and Steffi. It grants the world's #1 free points and games due to the other players believing they must play better than they ever have and start to press. It also saps away any hope of a comeback if they fall behind.

Congratulations Iga Swiatek on winning this tournament.🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱💪💪💪💪💪👏👏👏🏆🏆🏆🏆 She during this tournament again and again proved why she is the best female tennis player on the tour right now. Her ability to find a way to win matches while not playing her best tennis is absolutely phenomenal. She truly deserves to be world #1. She is unbeatable right now. At the moment, there's noone who can defeat her. Aryna Sabalenka didn't play bad, but Iga Swiatek was simply far too strong for her to handle. Absolutely sensational. What a great tennis player Iga Swiatek is. Winning 4 consecutive tittles in a row. Absolutely sensational and phenomenal. Iga Swiatek once again proved that with hard work and determination it's possible to acchieve anything. She never gave up. Not even when in Semi-Final against Samsonova all hopes seemed lost, she kept on believing in herself and won the Semi-Final and today the final too. Iga Swiatek truly is absolutely phenomenal fighter and phenomenal tennis player. Iga Swiatek is phenomenal tennis player. What a tournament this has been for Iga Swiatek.

Congrats 1G4!!! 👏👏👏👏 It was a masterclass of a performance, she was just so calm and focused, incredible maturity for one just 20 y/o. I'm so happy that her dad could be there with her, celebrating from the stands 💯💯
In regards to the crowd, Sabalenka turned the Guadalajara support in her favour which overwhelmed Iga, no need go demand for a Polish crowd with Polish and Ukrainian flags to root for her.. they did applaud her winners tho, and they weren't disrespectful in any way imo.

I still don't like the computer that always give number 1 fairly easier draw compared to the other group. Every single tournament is like this. Ash had easier first matches too and so on. Not saying she wouldn't have won the other half but would've taken her far more than what it did.

@@networth00 You are so right about that, Aryna gets so mad at herself for losing that she portraits arrogance like if she's a sore loser. But she's just acting in her emotions at the spare of the moment that's all. I don't think she's an arrogant player just let's her emotions get the best of her.
