@@Sere0303 I know here in the states many places don't have bathrooms, or not open to the public. Many of the shops in the mall didn't havebathrooms, and their coworkers would come to the big store I worked in. And even said large store didn't have many bathrooms.

I was 23 when I got my gallbladder out. I had to FIGHT my doctors for an ultrasound. They told me it was nothing 5 times. Finally got an ultrasound and I was right. My twin sister got hers removed 1 year after with the same pain.
i started experiencing chest pain when i was in my early teens and everyone blamed it on anxiety or acid reflux. i went to the ER bc my pulse was 160-170. they FINALLY did an ekg and we found out that i do have some heart abnormalities that usually aren’t fatal
I'm Italian and it IS true! A business like a supermarket, coffee shop, restaurant, bar etc have to offer the clients a public bathroom. The only exceptions to this rule are those who were on business before the law were promulgated and some very specific cases where the historical building that it is in does not provide space for it and you can do nothing to change that.
I saw you on here, at Griffith Park, changing for your hike. Noticed the bruise below your left knee, and started to ask what happened, and you immediately stumbled over a tree root, and I thought, " Never mind." LOL Takes a klutz to know one. 🤣
Kelsey....don't leave that pain. I've just had my gallbladder removed. What you're describing sounds like this. It can create lots of problems for you....mine had almost turned gangrenous....please do something asap.
I used to work for a Savers and our bathrooms were constantly closed because of vandalism. Usually it was something to do with poop being smeared on the walls. The most memorable instance for me was when someone broke a ton of pants hangers, took the clippy things off the rods, then shoved as many clips as possible in the toilet bowl and inside the reservoir. They then took the rods and shoved as many of them down the sink as possible. The hooks from the hangers were shoved down the drain hole in the floor. There was broken plastic everywhere and we had to call a plumber to fix everything. Our manager refused to reopen the bathroom for public use after that
Omg i loved the look into how much it takes to create content. Your entire team does an amazing job! But I loved that you vlogged because you wanted to. It felt like catching up with an old friend.
Girl it sounds like you have gallstones!! When you get home please go see your family doctor and ask to get an ultrasound done to see if that's what it is. I had to have my gallbladder removed last year and the pain you're describing sounds exactly like gallstones to me. I too was dismissed the first time I experienced the pain because I'm "too young" for it. Anyways, I hope it's not gallstones, but I would get it checked out to be sure
Exactly what I thought. It started like this for me, then the violent back pain, the vomiting… if she can avoid all this🙏🏾 Same I had my gallbladder removed but I suffered for months.
Can't wait to see the collab with Megan Batoon!!! Was so hyped to see the teaser!!! I got that feeling when my gallbladder was off and on working. Right in the center of my chest. Got it removed and have not had the pain since. I would make sure it is working right!
Center of your chest or down at the bottom of your rib cage? I get a stinging pain like at the bottom of my sternum where the ribs go up and meet. Doctor said it was probably acid reflux but I know for a fact I have a polyp in my gallbladder.
Down, on your rib cage, right side, like something it’s stabbing you from the back. The pain can even go up to your shoulder. Normally it stars in the evening or night…
I had that same pain two years ago and was scared it was my gallbladder but was all good after the acid reflux cured up. It’s sure terrifying, but glad you’re feeling better!

Went to the ER 4 times before the checked my gallbladder! As soon as my surgeon saw how many attacks I was having (every 3 days with a newborn) she said I should have got it out weeks ago! Absolutely get it checked, the surgery is so simple and honestly I feel like nothing was ever wrong.
Me too. Three trips to the ER... just painkillers. I have had attacks every day for three weeks now.. still waiting for an ultrasound. Happy to hear that you feel ok after removing the bladder! :)
I have had gall attacks every day for three weeks now, and it sounds just like what you are experiencing. Currently waiting for an ultrasound, and staying away from foods containing fat (altso nuts, avocados etc) to limit the attacks... Two doctors told me that gallstones would be unlikely, as my BMI is low, but luckily the third one ordered an ultrasound after crossing of EVERY symptom.

I had undiagnosed gallstones for a year and by the time they figured it out I was septic and almost died. Moral of the story: what your describing doesn’t sound like heartburn. It sounds like all of us who were *too young* to be experiencing gallstones. If you can, push for an ultrasound of your upper abdomen just to be safe. Because I believed them when they said it was heartburn and if I hadn’t pushed to be seen in the ER I wouldn’t be here anymore. Glad the rest of your trip was good though! ❤️
Hey girl! I had pain like what you are describing in December. The first time I went to the urgent care they dismissed my request for an US and gave me zofran for nausea and Pepcid; didn’t help my symptoms at all. The pain started getting more frequent with vomiting and I went back to the urgent care. At that point, my liver function was super elevated and I was spilling bilirubin in my urine so they finally did an US. It showed I had gallstones and actually had a couple stones stuck in my common bile duct. I had my gallbladder removed on a Saturday and I was still having the same pains because of the ones stuck in my bile duct. I had to have another surgery that Wednesday to get those out. Please have that pain checked out and ask for an Ultrasound!!
So your story of your pain reminds me so much of what I’ve been experiencing the last few weeks! I had a panic attack on vacation in Italy because I was in so much pain while we were on a guided tour at the Vatican museum. We were walking and it makes it so much worse when you can’t sit down or lay down flat. I was having those same feelings of not wanting to ruin everyone else’s time and just trying to power through the pain even though it was horrible, on top of being around so many people and wearing a tight mask around my face, it was a recipe for a panic attack lol. I would absolutely make an appointment with a gastroenterologist just to double check. Everything you’re describing is exactly what I’ve been dealing with. Hope you’re feeling better 🥰
Public bathroom sitch in the U.S. is generally not good. Big box stores usually have restrooms (if you don't really need anything, you tend to feel guilty, at least I do darn it, and at least pretend to shop). Independent shops don't always have a bathroom that's easily accessed by the public either. We need to do sooo much better. I live in a tourist town and it's a constant battle to get some built because nobody wants to pay for them...ugh.
Kelsey , sweetie, you can always come stay here with us! Poor thing in all that pain away from home. That’s what I want to say because I feel like your big sister but of course you have no idea who I am! 😀 But I hope your trip got better. I’ll link some great VRBOs for next time.
When I was studying abroad in Italy, my main complaint was that there weren’t enough public bathrooms, and when I could find one they had a cost and they where expensive. I live in Mexico and I’m used to find free public bathrooms everywhere or very very cheap. So I agree, having a public bathroom should be a priority on every business. And GREAT VIDEO! Loved the blog/aventure.
Oh Kelsey, its heartbreaking to hear your dinner story 💔 But you're not alone, seemingly so many of us can relate to your reflux/heartburn/unexplainable random abdominal pains... I was the same, my stomach pain was causing panic attacks and vice versa. I had to switch out my diet completely for almost 2 years and only when I quit my job and moved house (both were stressful places for me) did I start to see improvements. IBS was my actual diagnosis, but only after I spent thousands on all the other tests... Look after yourself, stress is toxic, you're not alone in this 💪🏼
When I get a stain I also just bleach tie dye it. I know that looks isnt for everyone but its worked for me since it distracts from the stain and gives it a new vibe
It's so wild how close you were to me! And not at all surprised to see your experience in the bay, things are so in demand here that I'm sure even after your experience, people will still be booking that place.
Hey girl… don’t want to scare you but that pain sounds exactly like your first gallbladder attack. They just get worse and worse over time, they kept telling me it was just acid reflux until I ended up needing emergency surgery to have it removed. If I was you I would ask your doctor to send you for an ultrasound to see if you have any stones. It’s really common for women of our age to get gallstones and need our gallbladders removed. Be safe and get it checked no harm. I hope you see this!! ❤️❤️❤️
I've had to clean public bathrooms and it's not pretty. You can expect the unexpected. Vandalism...A sink ripped out of the wall...poop all over the walls...a man once pleasured himself all over the floor. And so on and so on.
I get weird acid reflux too. The tums won't help. Instead of drinking hot lemon tea, I drink ice lemon tea. I squeeze it into the drink and drop it in too. If I get that side pain, I'll take it in sips. But if I know I've eaten too much, I'll drink it in the afternoon. I haven't had that pain in awhile. I usually can't breathe because of the pain and laying down makes it worse. Also, it feels like intense pressure on the bottom of my ribs. But the tea really helps. I haven't had it since
Ah you were near my hood on your visit to Alpine Inn in PV! Hope you're feeling better. I have had your exact acid reflux experience. Not fun. But Pepto is definitely my friend now!
I love vlogs, keep doing them! Maje them the way it feels comfortable for you, don’t feel pressure to keep a chronological structure, we’re very lucky for you to share part of your life :)
I really enjoyed this very authentic vlog. I will have to agree with a lot of people there, it seems to me that you have gallstones. It resembles what I use to feel. Nobody understood what I had until I ended up to the ER months later. I had a surgery pretty quickly but please make sure it’s not that.
Yes public bathrooms should most definitely be mandatory. I literally stopped going to a thrift store when they closed there bathrooms and now go to a different one because it never fails one of my kids, or myself, will need to use the bathroom as soon as we walk into a thrift store
It looks like you had such an amazing time! (except for the worm house) I've lived in LA for 6 years and haven't done much exploring of the area. I really need to!
Thanks for sharing your solo travel and dinner. I think too many people are afraid to travel/explore/dine solo so thank you for helping to normalize it!
Have you gone to The Getty? That is my FAVORITE observation spot in LA area..AND you get to see art!!! And the restaurant is quite good-or was when I was there! 🤓
I've had a busy couple weeks and just watched your vlog. I loved it! Miss your vlogs! That was fun and had some awesome ideas too. I've been looking for some fun ideas to cover a small hole on a new shirt. Thanks! 😁
In the UK every cafe/ restaurant has to have a public bathroom. While this isn't the same as every shop having one, it means there are always toilets close as hand if youre shopping on the highstreet or at a retail park :)
I think we can agree that the sun isn’t always shining in SoCal 😂 false advertising for sure. I was there for 3 weeks Oct/Nov a couple years ago and it was only actually fully sunny for 5 days total 😅 loved the chaotic vlog
Ah, memories. Thanks for sharing your experiences in Los Angeles and the bit in San Jose. Just think, all this success started by making some highlighters!!
Loved the content... no need to throw away stained clothes anymore. .Hey girl, glad the tums helped, but you just gotta try Kombucha! Works fast for any digestive issues, plus adds digestive enzymes, etc.
Sounds like gallstones! I had the same pain you are describing, and there is no relief until the stone passes. Just had my gallbladder out this year (30F) and it was a game changer. :)
As far as Venice, Italy when I lived there every shop has to offer bathroom use for customers. In Greece you can't open any business unless you have separated (men's/women's) bathroom constructed under certain rules
I'm from SoCal and finding public restrooms is wayyy more difficult than it should be. Usually we'd have to go to a chain restaurant and buy something to use their restroom. It sucks that so often, when there is an accessible public bathroom, people just absolutely trash it because they don't have to deal with the mess they make. There is a large homeless population where I'm from, and people would basically sleep in the restrooms, so they all got closed up. The ones that you can still occasionally find are super nasty. Since moving out of state, I'm still surprised to find restrooms that are not only available to the public, but that actually have hand soap and are not totally gross. I don't know if that is something that can even be regulated in populated areas to keep them clean and safe to use.
So cool to see you walking about my hometown! every other place you went I was like “I could have passed by her there & there!” this vlog was *chefs kiss*
I am in agreement with a lot of people here… you maybe have an inflamed gallbladder!! Just a simple ultrasound could rule out gallstones and with a little blood work and you could be on your way! It’s probably just GERD but if it happens again like that then get that checked out and make sure to mention it to your PCP regardless :)
About public bahtrooms: I`m a travel designer/travel photographer based in Barcelona. I travel for work at least once a month, all around Europe. And I drink A LOT of water, which means, I have to pee a lot. My experience, at least in Spain and Europe is: if you go to a place, even the ones that have a board outside saying that the bathroom is just for clients, the moment you actually stop and ask the owner/manager/waiter if you could, please, use the toilet, even though you know it is just for the clients, and you smile and act humble, 8 out of 10 times, they let me pass. Being humble and polite still goes a long way, I can tell you that!
Also, about needing to have some alone time... I`m so used to that, that I tried having a roommate, during easy covid times (not the worst of it), and even though he is a great friend of mine, super respectful, easygoing, after 6 months I had to ask him to leave. I really, honestly, enjoy living alone, I have a lot of friends, a super full work/social/travel schedule so, whenever I get the time to be with just me, even when trying a great restaurant in a new city... I enjoy it. And yes, sometimes a wish I had someone to share plates/opinions/feelings, but I wouldn`t change the opportunities I have, even alone, for nothing else! Plus... If you don`t love yourself and your own company, can you fully love someone else? (and I don`t mean only romantic relationships...)
That sounds like a gallstone in your gallbladder. The pain is awful then suddenly stops. I had issues with that for a year before I had my gallbladder removed. You need to get an ultrasound of your gallbladder to confirm.
About the heartburn!! I am on the medication sertraline and if I take it without drinking a looot of water I get heartburn that brings me to tears, so if anybody takes that and has ever noticed reeeaally bad heartburn from it, dont forget to take it with a giant glass of water!
Looks like everyone else beat me to it, but it sounds like a gal bladder attack! I have actually had that on my mind recently as my sister is getting hers out because of it, and my mom had hers out so it is hereditary, yay! But so glad my sister got her pain checked out, because it can cause really bad infections including pancreatitis, which my mom had developed, so definitely follow up with a proper check up when you can, I think they did an ultrasound with my sister. Also, that pizza could have done you in, my sister is avoiding all fatty food until the surgery and recovery.
@TheSorryLife Girl! that looks like such a kool trip and everything looks so beautiful at the felt market, the ocean, the food lol. The cute clothes especially 😍... I'm sorry you had a bad day and stomach pains can I say from experience you should maybe get a referral and have your gallbladder check for stone especially if you get this pain often. I was told it was just heartburn to a number of times come to find out it was two big stones getting stuck in my ducts
Missed you vlog fam 🥺

The tums won't help. Instead of drinking hot lemon tea, I drink ice lemon tea. I squeeze it into the drink and drop it in too. If I get that side pain, I'll take it in sips. But if I know I've eaten too much, I'll drink it in the afternoon. I haven't had that pain in awhile. I usually can't breathe because of the pain and laying down makes it worse. Also, it feels like intense pressure on the bottom of my ribs. But the tea really helps. I haven't had it since
This is one of my fav vlogs, real life, chaotic and beautiful, colorful and you surrounded by friends :D
THIS whole vlog is THE vibe!
AHHH COLAB WITH MEGAN! I'm so excited I love yall both
It looks like you had such an amazing time!
Your summer cloths were so cute! Guys should all do a summer/90 degree weather styling video
Thank you! I loved this vlog; am living vicariously through you. Would definitely like more of this, though I love your makeovers too.
I really missed the vlogs and would looove to get more, even with no structure 💞
Obsessed with that studio's little red refrigerator. 😍
Ahhhh I can't wait for the collab with Kelsey Impicciche!!!!! I love her content!
I LOVED this pleeeeeeeease do more vlogs!! Feels like catching up with a friend
"Guys, my water tastes like soap" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣that was hilarious
I’ve missed your vlogs and I can’t wait for your collab with Kelsey Dangerous!
I think we can agree that the sun isn’t always shining in SoCal 😂 false advertising for sure. I was there for 3 weeks Oct/Nov a couple years ago and it was only actually fully sunny for 5 days total 😅 loved the chaotic vlog
paper straw hack: when you aren't using it lay it on top of your glass so it isn't sitting in the liquid
Ah, memories. Thanks for sharing your experiences in Los Angeles and the bit in San Jose. Just think, all this success started by making some highlighters!!
The way my mind was blown when I saw you recording voiceovers under a cover
Loved the content... no need to throw away stained clothes anymore. .Hey girl, glad the tums helped, but you just gotta try Kombucha! Works fast for any digestive issues, plus adds digestive enzymes, etc.
Yay!! You’re still with Elliot! ❤️
Definitely missed the vlogs ❤️
Sounds like gallstones! I had the same pain you are describing, and there is no relief until the stone passes. Just had my gallbladder out this year (30F) and it was a game changer. :)
I went to Urgent Care for pain that ended up being the WORST acid reflux too! Been there 👍
As far as Venice, Italy when I lived there every shop has to offer bathroom use for customers. In Greece you can't open any business unless you have separated (men's/women's) bathroom constructed under certain rules
Your beauty takes my breath away.
I can’t wait for that Megan Batoon collab!!!! 💜💜💜
When back in Toronto have them check for gallstones!!! These are the classic symptoms ( I feel your pain girl!)
What you described was exactly what I had when I had a gall bladder episode.
Orange water is very acidic, I had the same problem....you must carry something stronger the Tums.
Prilosec is good.
Dried Ginger is Better... Naturally Good For The Body: With no adverse Reactions 🥰...
Yehey vlogs!!! Yes please!!! It’s been like forever!!!! 🥰
I loved the vlog! And I don’t mind the structure. Whatever works ☺️
That sounds like a gallstone in your gallbladder. The pain is awful then suddenly stops. I had issues with that for a year before I had my gallbladder removed. You need to get an ultrasound of your gallbladder to confirm.
Yaaaaassss! More vlogs please. Live for them. ❤
yeah in Italy, client's bathrooms are mandatory, but when you need one it's ALWAYS "guasto" which means broken.
About the heartburn!! I am on the medication sertraline and if I take it without drinking a looot of water I get heartburn that brings me to tears, so if anybody takes that and has ever noticed reeeaally bad heartburn from it, dont forget to take it with a giant glass of water!
That was a lot of travel. Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like a great trip. I have never traveled alone. I think I might enjoy it!
LOVE Joshua Tree!!! 🌾🌵
Yes. More vlogs!
My mom always embroidered flowers on our clothes when we got stains.
Love your vlogs! Keep them coming please!
Always LOVE vlogs!
Love love love Alpine Inn! 💖 sorry you were in pain and couldn’t enjoy your time there. :(
Definitely more vlogs!!
Looks like you guys had loads of fun! 😁👍
