Judging from how he fought the scorpion, the Frog Prince is apparently also a Frog Matador! When the King walked in on them and didn't believe Prince Robin's story, Prince Robin should have said, "Listen to my voice! Do you notice how it sounds exactly like the Frog's voice?"
Oh My God! I thought when I originally saw this video that Robin Williams was wearing a red thong when he was lying on the bed naked after he turned back into a frog, but when I saw this the second time I realized that it was the red piece of cloth he used for the bullfighter's cape when he slew the scorpion! XD
During the scorpion battle, I could imagine Robin Williams' character from Mrs. Doubtfire battling a scorpion that is about to attack Teri Garr's character from Tootsie while he is still in the Mrs. Doubtfire costume causing his prosthetic mask to rip revealing his identity just like it did when he gave Pierce Brosnan the heimlich maneuver and Teri Garr's character from Tootsie screaming when he is unveilled as Mrs. Doubtfire just like she did when Dustin Hoffman was unveilled as Tootsie on TV.
I bet Teri Garr would have screamed like she did in Tootsie if Robin Williams battled that scorpion in the Mrs. Doubtfire outfit causing his prosthetic mask to peel off half of his face and reveal his identity like it did in Mrs. Doubtfire.
Oh my, lol, that was the weirdest version of a Grimm fairy tale I ever saw! Actually it was a pretty creative mixture of Sleeping Beauty, the Frog King, and the princess was rather like the princess in King Thrushbeard. The latter may be pretty unknown outside of Germany ;).
@cheechaneekla11 It was called Rampion, a wild eatable root that was grown mostly in pass times in England for the most part but is not well know or popular in modern day.
There doesn´t have to be a spindle for this to be inspired by Sleeping Beauty! The beginning of this with the old witch was clearly inspired by Sleeping Beauty, the witch helping the queen to receive a child, then not being invited to the christening, only that she didn´t make people sleep for 100 years as a revenge here, but instead turned the child into a frog.
Welll.... that wasn't creepy or slightly inappropriate for a children's show at all! Lol!! Not that I was aware of the creepiness as a child. I mean, not that it made much of an impression on me as a kid, but ya gotta admit, it's a little bit weird.
I thought they filmed clementine and another one where the guy climbs over the wall bc his wife was craving radishes or something but i can't find either of them
I friggin loved this growing up!...I'm only just getting the humor now that I'm an adult...thank God!..lol
If this was a sitcom there would have been a laugh track at that part.
Wow. That was... quite a show.
It was because of this episode of FTT that my grandmother wouldn't allow my sister and I to watch FTT ever again. xD
R.i.p. Robin
hy
fungi egg
Martina Tasso I miss himmmm
Robin was SO CUTE here!

2:08 Wow, they really shaved (or waxed) Robin's shoulders for this episode. So smooth. :D He was a very hairy dude, like Peter Sellers was.
R.I.P. Robin Williams
hji
only Robin Williams could turn a fairytale into adult comedy
wow. My jaw litterally dropped during this last part. Children's programing was really dirty back then.

One of the funniest scenes in FTT!!
Wham! Bam! Thank You Ma'am! She turned me into a frog! XD
Yup. The scorpion battle scared the hell out of me as a kid, too.
And so they all lived happily everafter !
Ive only jus discovered FTT but my brother and i luv it!!!!
"wam bam thank you mam" lol
The late Harry Benson plays the timekeeper.
Totally forgot about this! This feels great to see
LOL. He changes from slimy to fuzzy. I like it. At least he's not as hairy as my roommate. Eesh.
I saw this when I was a kid, and it spooked me a little.
the grandfather clock!!!!...roflmbo!!!!!!...brilliant : )
I LOVE THE OLD MAN WHO TELLS TIME XDDD
It was somewhat properly censored back in the day (It's not that long ago), but now it's excessively censored.
Sigh.
"And there, your Honour, rests the case for the defence".
I bet Teri Garr would have screamed like she did in Tootsie if Robin Williams battled that scorpion in the Mrs. Doubtfire outfit causing his prosthetic mask to peel off half of his face and reveal his identity like it did in Mrs. Doubtfire.
"where she was forced to learn latin and play hockey" lol
Ha ha This is helarious!!!

Well mind you in the old days, woman and man were usally never left alone together.. espically during the victorian times/
0:10, Look! A scorpion!
That was somehow longer than I remembered when I watched it decades ago.
cool
well it would be out of habbit, I mean seriously you would have a habit of doing it too if you had been a frog since you were a baby!
7:32 If you're an Angry Video Game Nerd fan you'll know why this credit is funny.
Wait is that Robin Williams?!
it is Robin Williams
...where she was forced to learn latin and play hockey...
any change? ...not yet but perhaps if we give it some time...
this series was brilliant!
...prince robin... lol ...nice
most realistic scorpion ever lol jk but it's such a good episode!
The radish one is Rapunzle with Jeff Bridges.
OMG! look at his hair! LOL
"I I I I I I I I I I I"
hahaha
Its a suitably slow moving scorpion.
This isn't for kids, right? Cause... that bedroom scene... yaaahhhhh,.....
There's no freaking spindle in it! So it can't be a mix of Sleeping Beauty and I do know "King Thrushbeard"

FT isn't a children show at all when Rapunzel story uses the original ending of Rapunzel giving birth
He's so... Hairy :D
hahaha wham bam thank you maam hahahahaha
I thought they filmed clementine and another one where the guy climbs over the wall bc his wife was craving radishes or something but i can't find either of them
This is so kid-inappropriate is funny!
Was that Robin Wiliams?
PALY JOCKEY JAJAAJAJAJJAAJAJAJAJAJAJA
so he'll eat flies even as a human. fast-food
chest hair or head hair? lol
LOL So true! xD
@leahann517 It was just an excuse to get her to marry a prince, period. Remember they had been trying to get her married to one for years.
I know why leahann517, because the princess keped her promase to the frog.
just for scientific purposes.........
learned latin and hockey? lol
HE'S NUDE!!!
Your a man! Nope just Robin Williams,jk
