You're so lucky you can walk outside alone when it is dark and the city is deserted. We would never do that here in NYC for fear of being mugged. I'm glad I'm moving out to the country where things will feel safer!
I was thinking the same thing. I live in the suburbs of a different city in NY and I still wouldn’t walk in the dark. Of course lightening would be an issue here too (there is none) and I would more likely be hit by a car than mugged.
Same as in Toronto Canada, not safe to go out alone when it is dark, late at night or early morning, mugged, shot or sexually assaulted. Not even safe here during the day to walk in a park that is isolated for sexual assaults. Some have police patrol cars. Benita is truly lucky.

I have followed you for years, from early days of organizing your Matha Steward magazines in the cupboards through the move. This is my first time commenting because I loved this video so much. You documented a particularly appealing "Day in the Life" with the sequential lighting of your apartment as you move toward the kitchen, the cleaning & linen change, and the "morning constitutional" as a friend of mine called it. I love the pink-lit ?watertower and the lights shining off the dark surface of the lake. Then a flash of work at your (relatively) newly placed desk with its rocking stool. (Do you like the latter, I'd be interested in hearing. Best of all was the outing to the museum and its cafe - I loved the glimpses of the artifacts, the look of the meal and the coziness of your connection with your friend. The lamp at night welcoming you home made a charming ending. Bravo!

We lived in Northern and Central GE for almost 8 years, so I can relate, somewhat to your lifestyle. I loved it over there. We live on a ranch in TX now, surrounded by dirt roads and cattle, so I lean towards neutral tans and browns. Your videos are so calming, and I've learned quite a few tips from you. We have two indoor kitties as well, along with two dogs, a horse, cows, chickens and three little goats. I wish we had the rain you all have and the nice recycling. Thanks again.

I love the little leg stretch that Mini did when you were vacuuming! Also you made me smile when you said you moved a couple of things that were not in the right place and we saw that you were firstly wrapping the cord on the electrical device then you cut straight to a shot of Mini on the window ledge. I thought that you were then going to move Mini because she wasn’t in the right place!!! Gotta love kitty kisses and combing ♥️
Enjoyed your video and really loved that you took us to that Museum and the cafe and the design furniture shops, that was fantastic, so love when you show us some of the shops and culture. I too live with minimal items and each January and fall even disperse of even more items that I have and give to a charity. One day I will visit Stockholm and enjoy your culture. My father used to design cars and travel to Sweden for many years to do so with your cars. So I have a lot of fond memories from is trips.

I find too that I enjoy window shopping sometimes when I'm out and see pretty items. I often see many items that I love but don't necessarily see anything that would fit perfectly in a space in my house. I find that I get satisfaction from simply looking. On a rare occasion, I purchase something that I feel will actually add beauty to my home and get rid of something in place of it. Never seen cat grass before. I'll have to try it!
I love the footage of the shops. It’s just so interesting to see what’s on offer on the other side of the world. I also love just looking and not necessarily buying. Cat footage is always appreciated 😻
A calming yet busy day. Winter time brings short days here in the US. We lose what light we have very early. It really affects my mood. But I see that where the darkness is much longer, you seem to make the most of it. What a beautiful city you live in.

Last time we were in Stockholm we went to the Bagdad café. We enjoyed it as well as the museum.
