Great stream yesterday! I'm so glad i saw Nora being interviewed on another podcast. Over the last months i have learned so much because i listen to them and read their articles on a regular basis. Theyre a great source of knowledge and information! Noras news roundup and what asa said afterwards made me tear up a little bit. This horror is so normalized and accepted (even by me) and i have to admit that i kinda shut myself down, shielded myself from the emotions these pictures and what happens to the people in all of Palestine but especially Gaza and i became very cynical over the last weeks. But I don't want to be a cynic and i hate that. And who am I to complain and lose hope when, as we see here these wonderful people witnessing all the horrors and living them do not lose hope and are as resilient as they are! Asas words reminded about the fact that I shall not accept this as normal and that one cant do anything anyways. So, i have to thank him for his words..

I love your show. You are all informative and professional, and I support you all 100%. However, I was disappointed in Elmer's explanation of the UK riots/marches. 1st I'd like to say I feel the UK public and students me have been mostly supportive of the Palestinian people. Of course it should be better. A few years back we had a soldier beheaded just metres from his barracks on a London high street in broad daylight. We had several terror attack, including a concert that killed many children. In the last few weeks we had another soldier stabbed and killed. All perpetrated by Islamic extremists or migrants. Illegal immigration has been a subject on all British citizen's black white yellow or pink. All faiths included. Our elderly either eat or keep warm families are struggling to cope. We wait 4 years for our medical treatments and have 10 minute appointments with a GP. And have a real shortage of housing with citizen's waiting up to 10 years for social housing. We have 400 room hotels housing illegal immigrants. Some yes will be seeking genuine asylum but a vast majority have economic reasons. Nothing wrong with that I say! The truth is our infrastructure can't cope. They are paid £200 per week, get fed taxi's are free to them and they receive free health care. Some City's even give them free driving lessons. I understand it's no walk in the park living in a hotel room especially distressing to families with children. But most are adult single men. Men that have nothing to do all day because they can't work because they have not been processed. Knife crime has always been a problem in the UK. However it was rare outside of gang on gang. Now it's anyone that takes their fancy. 100 girls (children) where groomed and raped over decades by a Pakistani grooming gangs. And our government covered it up because they didn't want to be seen racists. Less than 2 weeks ago 11 very young children where stabbed whilst attending a dance class. The police arrested a young man on the scene. ( he was a zchristian) hundreds of examples. People have had enough! and demand that our governments take action against knife crime and the immigration issue. We voted brexit to take control of our borders. They let us down. It was during a vigil that outsider Facists became violent. Unfortunately the police are two tier and become over zealous with there battons indiscriminately arresting family people which then makes things feel unfair to the peaceful people instead of the far rights like Tommy Robinson. Then we have riots Muslims, Christians, atheists, pink blues and any colour under the sun clashing. Fighting each other instead of unighting against the real enemy of this country. Those who serve no one but themselves and of course the Israeli state.. then starmer makes a very incendiary statement to the nation. That led to young men on the streets with machetes, swords, knives and battons. This country is a mess and the fault lays with the politicians. They should be here to protect all of us! No matter faith colour or culture. I do however lay some blame. On our government support to Israel supplying weapons and their properganda machine. Keep up the great work. Love and peace 🙏❤

Jon, just a small comment: Fouad Shukr's name is not pronounced "Shukre" but more like "Shuker". The final vowel goes before the consonant.
Actually, it depends on the dialect used. Shukr would be the way it's pronounced in classical Arabic whereas 'shuker' would be the way it's pronounced in Palestine and the levant region as a whole. Just fyi

I love your show. You are all informative and professional, and I support you all 100%. However, I was disappointed in Elmer's explanation of the UK riots/marches. 1st I'd like to say I feel the UK public and students me have been mostly supportive of the Palestinian people. Of course it should be better. A few years back we had a soldier beheaded just metres from his barracks on a London high street in broad daylight. We had several terror attack, including a concert that killed many children. In the last few weeks we had another soldier stabbed and killed. All perpetrated by Islamic extremists or migrants. Illegal immigration has been a subject on all British citizen's black white yellow or pink. All faiths included. Our elderly either eat or keep warm families are struggling to cope. We wait 4 years for our medical treatments and have 10 minute appointments with a GP. And have a real shortage of housing with citizen's waiting up to 10 years for social housing. We have 400 room hotels housing illegal immigrants. Some yes will be seeking genuine asylum but a vast majority have economic reasons. Nothing wrong with that I say! The truth is our infrastructure can't cope. They are paid £200 per week, get fed taxi's are free to them and they receive free health care. Some City's even give them free driving lessons. I understand it's no walk in the park living in a hotel room especially distressing to families with children. But most are adult single men. Men that have nothing to do all day because they can't work because they have not been processed. Knife crime has always been a problem in the UK. However it was rare outside of gang on gang. Now it's anyone that takes their fancy. 100 girls (children) where groomed and raped over decades by a Pakistani grooming gangs. And our government covered it up because they didn't want to be seen racists. Less than 2 weeks ago 11 very young children where stabbed whilst attending a dance class. The police arrested a young man on the scene. ( he was a zchristian) hundreds of examples. People have had enough! and demand that our governments take action against knife crime and the immigration issue. We voted brexit to take control of our borders. They let us down. It was during a vigil that outsider Facists became violent. Unfortunately the police are two tier and become over zealous with there battons indiscriminately arresting family people which then makes things feel unfair to the peaceful people instead of the far rights like Tommy Robinson. Then we have riots Muslims, Christians, atheists, pink blues and any colour under the sun clashing. Fighting each other instead of unighting against the real enemy of this country. Those who serve no one but themselves and of course the Israeli state.. then starmer makes a very incendiary statement to the nation. That led to young men on the streets with machetes, swords, knives and battons. This country is a mess and the fault lays with the politicians. They should be here to protect all of us!
