I've been using the X2, and wanted a backup. Well, that's when I spotted the X3 and I decided to go with it. I was having one issue, which lead me to your video, that answered it. Thank you. I also checked out the video for what TCM is. Cool feature. I am a manual junky, but still like using my flashes on TTL. I HATE when I take a shot, looks perfect, and then the next 3 are all different. I can totally see using the TCM for that. As for what you said about using the Xpro models; I used one, but don't have one, and can see what you are saying, But moving from the X2 to the X3, solid move, the X2 will now be the backup/second camera trigger. Side note: Your link for the V1 does not work, Amazon does not like it.
can you use any trigger with any brand of light? for instance if I were to get this Godox X3 do I have to get compatible Godox lights or same with like wescott?
En el minuto 5.09 donde menciona lo difícil que es apagar un flash, no es así que se hace, simplemente toca las dos rayas verticales de pausa y listo se apaga el flash con un toque, NO es necesario hacer todo lo que dice.
Will…love your channel and your topics you cover. As a note on the X3…would you test something out for me. I have been using X3 for about 4 months. It works great but I have found it deficient in one area when compared to the XPro2. When I use off camera flash…I use a side bracket to keep my flash attached to my camera but a little off center and higher than my camera. I find in this configuration the X3 is too close to the flash… even on the bracket.. and it keeps it from receiving signal. I can take the flash off the bracket and hold it out about 6 more inches and it works fine. The XPro3 does not have this problem. I have tried shifting my bracket forward and backwards but it does no good. I have taken to using my older XPro2 when I use my off camera flash bracket. I was wondering … could you test this scenario and see what you get. I use the Godox S1 flash head when shooting off camera.
Have you tried the 0-30m range option instead of 1-100m? I have a GODOX X1R equivalent trigger and you need to turn it on with a special key pressed so it goes into short range mode. Otherwise I can't use the flash on the bracket because the flash is too close
@@MFP_Photography i have found that one of the bugs in some of the flashes and transmitters is proximity. if they're too close together, for some reason they misfire. Discovered this in one of my videos actually. not sure how to really handle that other than keep them at a distance.
@@willsimpsonphoto got it after trying again thank you . I was wondering what camera stand would you recommend for Sony a iv and lense tamaron 35-150mm , my lense is pretty heavy so I need a good stand .
from my research it looks like they can. You need to make sure the channels, IDs and groups are all set properly. here's a video showing how to do that. ruclips.net/video/TSx-UMqsIh4/видео.htmlsi=AkZeLUwco5zf_Upb

x3
Do you know whether this is compatible with the Pixapro RIKO400? And does it matter which receiver I use? Is the Godox FTR-16 a good receiver?
not sure on those. you would need to look at the specs on them and see if they would work.
@willsimpsonphoto thank you for the quick reply. I need to advise myself then in a local shop. Unfortunately they are far away from where I live.

thanks for comment! Great info and glad to see how you made those decisions. Thanks for the note on the V1. ill get that fixed.
I got it for my godox ms300. Its very smooth on my sony a7iv. But the flash doesn't show my camera icon although its connected. What i m doing wrong

@@AM-ju9wx some are compatible with others. You just have to look at the specs on the transmitter/flash brands website
You might want to reduce your exposure when filming tiny screens 😂
tell me about it! every time I make a video like this i f**k up something in the filming 🤣🤦🏻♂
The XPro 1 is NOT simple. Period! Also, my AD200 Pro II also has numbered groups.
really? I've found it to be relatively easy to use.
