they are super lures for the trout, i cant wait to try the new inline version (its in my other video) ive got some nice fish with the fixed version, its hard to whack a mepps in the salt or fresh for them, i hope to do a few more videos and ill be including my favourite bladed lures too, thanks for the watch and kind words mate 👍👍
Brilliant video again James. I know my flies but don't know a lot about lures and these videos are excellent and give a lot of important advice. Like you I'm busting to get out there come 1st March so I better get buying.
thanks tony mate!! i hope your finding my videos useful, if anything there something to look at until we are back in biz again come march, some of the lures can be a little tricky to source if flea bay doesnt have them ill highly reccommend glasgow angling center, theyve all the patterns plus they are decent on postage too!! thanks for the view and kind words mate 👍👍
yes mate i have indeed one of the very first inline lures, i remember when i was young i used to have a blue one, a great little lure!! thanks for commenting mate 👍
@@whitetroutchannel up in the NE of Scotland where I fish for sea trout they are the No1 lure by a million miles. Only problem is they are very hard to get a hold of now
@@fraserwatt2606 ive seen a few up on ebay mate and they fetch a tidy sum on there, ive seen them go upwards of a score, another great scotch lure was the bridun launce which is sadly not longer produced
Never really been quite sure what coastal wobblers actually are, are they basically narrow jerk baits? Some of them look like wooden or plastic spoons that have been belly weighted. Would that be right?
yeah mate i suppose you could draw the comparison and call them mini jerk baits, most of the coastal wobblers are made from abs plastic which is mould injected, the material is pretty dense and they generally dont need much added weight they way a rapala lure or something might need it however some of the lures do have small ball bearings to make a rattle, hope this answers you question any more please feel free and thank you for your view and comment
Another fantastic video. Very informative and well presented. Your knowledge on the different lures, performance, behaviour in the water and best use depending on early/late season is very impressive. Looks like my wallet might take a bashing. Once again thanks for posting.
thanks kev very kind of you to say mate, coast wobblers are only starting to really take off here the past few years and most of the info on here is in danish with no subs! so i thought id give my opinions on them! glad your enjoying the content mate its a real spur on to make more when i hear people enjoy them!! 👍👍
@@whitetroutchannel Definitely enjoying very much. Had a bit of an obsession with sea trout from the salt a few years ago. Watched all the Sea Trout Secrets vids and the Danish Fyn clips. Read the books by Chris McCully, Gary Webster and Falkus. Had a few in the salt in the south and in the Scottish rivers. Strangford has always been my nemesis. I'm hoping, with a bit more spare time, to put that right this year. Your videos are a big help in the right direction.👍👍
@@kevm7751 youve def got it bad mate if your on the danish channels mate and your reading falkus!! ! ive never really left the lough mate ive fished trout on it for 25 odd years, its been a kind home to me but its a shade of its former glories because of seals and scarts but thats a video for another day i think lol
@@whitetroutchannel Like a lot of fishing in general these days. I will definitely thrash the waters of the Lough this year. Maybe bump into you after 1st March. Looking forward to next video.
@@kevm7751 if they would stop funding exploris with our rod licence money and put it into the feeder streams and main rivers that flow into the lough it would help the lough, but the amount of effort thats put into the lough as a game fishery is pathetic considering the money it can bring to the local economy!! you never know who you bump into on the beach mate lol 👍👍
Gonna give all your videos a watch mate get some lure advice! hahaha
@@NorthumbrianFolkery every spot will have a lure that out fishes another but these picks are def worth throwin at a trout mate 👍
Great video very interesting. The sea trout down in Kerry seem to fall for the Westin Salty lures too and silver mepps in the summer.
