Also creepypastas are not in any way real just to clarify. These stories are with high chance made up and not real. At best it can happen if you download it from a strange site but because genshin works mostly on servers it may be able to be tracked down easily and it would be fixed by a day. That technically would mean faceless ayato is done with glitches and multiplayer (if it isn't real).

for the 2nd story: if someone joins ur world and the person is gone but still in your world, relax its probably because of the bad internet connection of the person who joins your world.

or they simply did alt f4, they dont disconnect immediately

lemme share my story too:
one day I was playing genshin and unlocking inazuma and stuff since sumeru didn't come out that time, then this player entered my world. But for somereason it did not load for me so that pfp is a question mark. He spammed a lot of glitchy question marks so I kicked him thinking it was a glitch. 4 days later, I heard that my friend is quitting genshin but he didn't tell me why. He told me about the island in GAA so i investaged it. Then out of nowhere i saw a raiden on GAA with the same pfp guy that entered my world 4 days ago. They didn't move, assuming that they were afk. I use jean to yeet them off the cliff then the game suddenly teleported me to a waypoint nearby. First i was really confused because it was singleplayer. Then i never saw that pfp question mark dude ever again.

alright i have a story.
once i was entering random worlds, and then a i joined one with a yae and zhongli pfp, they were in enkanomiya andthey weren't saying anything , so i left.
but the issue was, when i went to leave, it gave me the message "Temporarily Unable to End Co-op Mode." so i force shut the game, and log back in. but the strangest part is im still in the world, and yae and zhongli havent said anything, not even hello. the scariest part of this was, the entire time i was in the world, the screen was shaking as if a lawachurl was walking towards me.
it kicked me out of the game, with the message "Error 1-491"
when i logged back in, i was back in my world.

I have a story. I play Co-op with my friend alot. Im ar 35(still trying to finish the the ascension thing to go up in ar's). We were in sumeru when this guy joined. His pfp was Zhongli. We find it fun to play with unknown people while playing together so we welcomed him. We played normally together(Doing quests, killing bosses, and exploring aka me getting teleport way points since it's my world.)for around 2 hours. Around 3:45 he started rarely chatting with us(he joined around 1:30)but continued helping us fight. We asked if he was OK and he just texted "I'm fine." before going back to being silent and basically being a ghost helping us. My friend(we were in a call)said it was strange. I agreed. Half an hour later he texted this(I'm copying what we said now.)
Him: NO I'M NOT. HELP.
Friend: what's wrong

Him: MY NAME IS SAM AND I'VE BEEN KIDNAPPED! I LIVE IN MICHIGAN. HE SAID HE'D LET ME PLAY GENSHIN IF I SHUT UP BUT HE'D BE WATCHING! HE WENT TO THE BATHROOM! CALL 911.

I was with my friends fighting the boss when we suddenly teleported to Fontaine we walked to neuvillette and I said "why is he looking backwards?" My other friend said "idk?" When I saw him he was *FACELESS* we ran to furina then she's *FACELESS* too we were scared but I suddenly see wriothesley being faceless and Lynette of lyney he wasn't faceless we left with no trace about this incident..

once i was randomly crafting in mondstadt, when someone called 'honey' joined my world. she/he had a kujou sara pfp. after joining 'honey' wasnt talking even when i tried to talk to him/her for a while so i tried to kick her out. it didnt work. what u need to do is log out the game yourself. this 'honey' tried to join again for a lot of days untill he finaly gave up. u should have done it before
If you are unable to end co op mode, you can always go into the teapot. It will automatically end co op for you

I had a story with my friend we usually now play everyday but then when we were playing I noticed something different my ping keep going to 999 and I thought I was cursed so I tried to mind it then we went to fight bosses and then my friend left for no reason then when I was still at the boss I kept seeing faceless characters in a circle and then my friend joined and said: “I disconnected sorry” then the circle with faceless characters were gone I didn’t want to tell my friend because I think she will tell me to go to a nother home so after that we never talked about anything or joined our world ever again
About the glitch I tried doing it but failed way too many times I got too exhausted doing it so I took a rest after my rest I tried again (barrier giltch in Fontaine) and then it worked I thought I was gonna get teleported to springvale that’s all I got I didn’t remember the others 🎉

My cousin also got the farewell quest 1 month ago she was about to start it, thinking about nothing and not looking at the desc i told her to stop and rejoin bc i saw this video before she got the farewell quest

So when i was playing at ar 12 i saw there was another player and here is the creepy part.. i need ar 16 for people to join in and he said "i see you look outside" i did i saw nobody i thought i was getting trolled so i went to close the game and took a nap than 1 day later i get on and he joins again when i got to ar 15 and said "why" over and over and i just deleted my game and redownload i had to restart but now hes gone
Edit: so when i said hes gone he didn't i logged on today and i saw him at the top of the sumeru tree and he said in chat *
"F**** you yoy ruined it you will pay for this" i got scared so i threw my phone on the bed ran to a fliping chair and slept there for a sec than back into reality and ran to a friends house im ar 56 now but he wont leave me alone also there was no join request at all no one else other than me was there.. my friend thought i was trolling him and i logged on and show him and he wasn't in the game nor pictures i took... So yeah goodbye genshin imma wait until i get a new phone to Replay genshin again

I have a spooky story that I actually avoided probably being kidnapped, there was this player “mecm” i friended him and then he gave me a chat he said hello but then here is when things went dark, he started asking me: “What’s your IRL name?”
“How old are you IRL?”
And personal questions like that. So I gave him a Fake name and age (Kyunshii, 63) and unfriended him not looking back, I don’t know what would’ve happened if I had stayed longer tho

I was login to genshin like normal but this time it doesn’t work. Before at school I gave my friend my ID so we could play together. Our Teacher also played genshin, then I asked, “Did u ask the teacher the ID? Or like did u play genshin with the teacher” but he said “No.” then… he said “I used her account and played with it.” When I heard it, it sent shivers down my spine. It gave me chills. (Continue) I remembered when he said he used my teachers account and I was really scared if he also used MY account. I login for alot of times and it gave me a while. Then I logged in the last time it worked. I did not know what just happened. I have no idea at all.

One time while I was playing genshin, in single player I wanted to go in co-op but then someone forcefully joined my world. Like I couldn't accept or decline it they just joined. The cheery music *stopped.* All the NPC's turned faceless and turned to me...and infront of me stood the player. I tried to kick them out but it didn't work. It said "Error-1-462". The player then said something in chat. He said "Hello, (name)" Then he started spewing out my address and personal info...I reset genshin and logged back in but he was still there...this time with *Faceless Ayato*. I quit genshin and reinstalled it. Thankfully he left..
